I was surprised when I heard one of my friends just broke up with his girlfriend. It is hard when someone that we gave our heart to, the one we hope to share our life - suddenly walked out from our life and move on - without us.

It reminded me the time when I broke up with my ex few years back. Spent a whole 5 years together then I found out that he was seeing someone else for almost a year. To add salt into the injury, he got the lady pregnant and they got married. Feeling cheated, betrayed and somewhat fooled, disgusted, all emotions mixed into one. Sounds familiar to some?

Truth is, there is no such thing as easy breakup. Forgive me if I am wrong, but is it easy to walk away and move on, knowing that someone that we used to care and love is no longer there? More painful to know when they already had someone else to replace our place, which in fact, we are already replaced and only waiting for the time to tell the whole world that our place in their hearts were taken the moment we leave.

Looking from the other side, not all the people who initiated the break up is heartless. Sometimes, they find it hard to tell the truth that "There is just no more love anymore.", thus they afraid the truth of those words will hurt the person. When there is still a little compassion left, I think that it came for the sake of the happy memories that once shared. So they still had a heart after all.

However, I will be most grateful...if that someone could be more truthful at the first place. At least, you are doing us a great favor by telling the truth that we are not going anywhere in this relationship - true, we might feel hurt. We will be hurt! But it will lessen the pain rather than found out about it and knew that it has been going on long before we realized it.

Maybe some of you readers might think "AngelBear just didn't understand how it feels." I do. I gave a myself a good cry and grieved for a week when the breakup happened. I do feel angry at him. I feel angry at myself for being so stupid enough that I been fooled all along. Who doesn't?

The pain is still there when the tears had dried but I let myself heal over time. The key to the path of my healing process? Prayers (though I am not that religious), gaining back my self confidence with lots of motivation, getting involved with new things (then paintball came into my life!), think positive and look for the silver lining behind the dark clouds that surrounded me.

I have lots of things to thank for, from him, really. I am thankful that at least he did share some happy memories with me, I am thankful that I learn to be more stronger than I was. I am thankful so much that he shows me that I can do better than before. I am thankful for my life today because of him - leaving me. No joking! =p

So my friend...I hope that you will recover soon. Remember: you always have friends and family that loves and cares about you. *hugs*

Never be sad for what is over,
just be glad that it was once yours.

As you can see, I added Nuffnang in my blog page too. ^_^V
I was surfing through my account in imeem.com and found myself creating a playlist from one of my favorite artist during my early teen years - Tommy Page. Gosh, I still remember having my bedroom wall adorned with his posters amongst it *laughs*. Now, more than 10 years later, Align Centersome of the songs still captured me the way it did last time. One of my favorite is 'Time' (Track No. 1). Hope you all enjoy listening to some of his collections.

Note: Remember to switch off the my music player on the right before listening to the tracks.

Tommy Pages Song

Time

I remember the day you say goodbye
Something was calling you
I could read it in your eyes
You told me that someday we'd meet again
But deep inside I always knew
This was the end

I remember those words you claimed
As I stood in the pouring rain
When I showed my heart would never be the same

(chorus:)
You told me time will always heal the pain
Bring the sun and dry the rain
we need time to solve and think our problems through
You told me time is always on my side
To turn the season, change the tide
Things work out with time if you want them to
Why can't time make me stop
Loving you

It wasn't very easy when you left
Every mention of your name
Would get me so upset
I trapped my emotions deep inside
And I acted like I didn't care
With hope this would subside

I remember those words you claimed
As I stood in the pouring rain
When I showed my heart would never be the same

I try to get you off my mind
I knew I'm just wasting time
Hoping that someday I can say the same

Here goes another coming of the long awaited season. It feels just like yesterday we celebrated Christmas and now, the season is here, once again. Before the actual celebration came, we, Christians (Catholics, in this case) began the coming of Jesus' birth celebrations 4 weeks before the date to prepare ourselves spiritually which was known as Advent.

What is Advent?

The word “advent” means “coming.” As the first season of the church year, Advent marks the coming of Jesus, both his first coming in the Incarnation and his second coming at the fulfillment of God's purpose. The Gospel readings for Advent focus on John the Baptist, the herald of Jesus' coming, and on his mother Mary, the bearer of his coming.

Advent is a penitential season, meaning it is a time for confessing one's sins and sitting with God. In the early years, Advent was a 40-day season of preparation for baptism, much like Lent. Baptisms were performed on the Feast of the Epiphany (January 6). When Christmas Day (December 25) became the more prominent holiday, Advent became a four-week prelude to Christmas. During Advent, churches that use altar hangings and clergy vestments will use the color purple (as is the case during Lent), or, if available, a dark blue.

Many churches and families use an “Advent wreath” to mark the four Sundays of Advent. These sets typically have purple candles for the first, second and fourth Sundays, and a pink or rose candle for the third Sunday, known as “Gaudete Sunday” (from the Latin word “Rejoice”), when tradition allowed an easing of the Advent fast.

Popular Advent hymns emphasize the theme of coming. “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” and “Come Thou, Long-Expected Jesus” are two examples.

The arrival of Advent Sunday in late November or early December means the start of a new cycle in the lectionary of assigned readings. Most liturgical churches use a three-year cycle (Years A, B and C), each focused on a different Gospel. Year C, which began December 3, 2006, focuses on the Gospel of Luke.

Last night, we went for a late night movie at 1Borneo with my sister, Kirstin, my brother Aaron and my 2 cousins, Nazarius and Ronnie. My brother insisted that we all watch Quarantine. Off we went to get some tickets and lots of goodies to munch in the cinema (there goes my dinner!). The movie, Quarantine is supposed to be like this: (I got this synopsis from a website)

Television reporter Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman (Steve Harris) are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles Fire Station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams coming from one of the apartment units. They soon learn that a woman living in the building has been infected by something unknown. After a few of the residents are viciously attacked, they try to escape with the news crew in tow, only to find that the CDC has quarantined the building. Phones, internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew's videotape.

Well, here's the truth of the movie that I saw last night:

The movie started just like that, where the cameraman and the television reporter were filming outside the fire station, then there is a series of lots of talking, and talking, and talking...all nonsense things doing a documentary (I think Anthoney Bourdain or Ian Wright can do better). Then after the long agony of waiting, suddenly there is a 911 call to an apartment where the firemen responded and the TV crew were following them. (This is when the part where you see the screen moving all around, worst than any 'cetak rompak' VCD/DVD).

So, they were attending one of the old residents there, who behave weirdly and start biting one of the guys who tried to attend her, and when they are bringing the injured guy to the lobby of the apartment, out of no where, one of the firemen dropped from one of the floors of the apartment. Everyone screamed, everyone yelled at each other and the screen keeps on turning here and there (the movie was filmed through the TV crew's video camera.) - at this partI had stopped eating my popcorn cause it starts to make me feel sick. There are some parts of this movie where I can dozed off for a second or two cause it's too boring!!!!

Guess what, the authorities came, but sealed the apartment from the outside, not allowing them to go anywhere (we didn't see any key person outside). So whoever that is, they didn't allow these poor people going out for no apparent reason. Owh, also there are few more residents who were trying to escape from the window were shot from a supposedly sniper.

Then, there goes the series of the remaining residents there turn into zombies, (that gives the shrieking screams and look exactly like the ones you saw in Zombie or Resident Evil) killing each and everyone of the people there, with one dog or two appeared here and there. The TV crew, how can I not forget, there are lots of crying, screaming, running and hey, they can even kill the zombie with his camera!

So, as the movie goes, there were only 2 supposedly survivors left - the TV reporter and her cameraman. They went to the basement, found a series of documents that supposed to lead to the answer of the question "Why things goes wrong?" at the first place. Then, came the last zombie (supposedly), clad in underwear, frantically throw things aside here and there, got the cameraman. Unlike the other zombie killings, this time it's fast and suddenly it went quiet. When the reporter took the camera, viewed around here using the night vision mode, found her friend already became the zombie's meal. She ran frantically, tripped and fell on the ground, and as she wanted to reach to the camera again, was pulled into the darkness, screamed and that's the end of the show.

On the way home, I noticed few things about this movie:

- There is no soundtrack, background music or whatsoever;
- We don't know what the hell goes on for the people outside the building (cause they promised they will come inside and see what's wrong 'later')
- There's only a handful of actors and actresses;
- It's some kind like a remake for Cloverfield, only that it's much more worst.

I give it 1 out of 5 stars. It's the worst movie ever in year 2008.
This story really makes me cry. It shows how if we keep our faith and hope - God will always be there for all of us. I am sharing it with you all. God Bless.

Heaven Scent

Smell the Rain.......

A cold March wind danced around the dead of night in Dallas as the doctor walked into the small hospital room of Diana Blessing. Still groggy from surgery, her husband David held her hand as they braced themselves for the latest news.

That afternoon of March 10, 1991, complications had forced Diana, only 24-weeks pregnant, to undergo an emergency cesarean to deliver the couple's new daughter, Danae Lu Blessing. At 12 inches long and weighing only one pound and nine ounces, they already knew she was perilously premature. Still, the doctor's soft words dropped like bombs.

"I don't think she's going to make it," he said, as kindly as he could. "There's only a 10-percent chance she will live through the night, and even then, if by some slim chance she does make it, her future could be a very cruel one."

Numb with disbelief, David and Diana listened as the doctor described the devastating problems Danae would likely face if she survived. She would never walk. She would never talk. She would probably be blind. She would certainly be prone to other catastrophic conditions from cerebral palsy to complete mental retardation. And on and on.

"No! No!" was all Diana could say. She and David, with their 5-year-old son Dustin, had long dreamed of the day they would have a daughter to become a family of four. Now, within a matter of hours, that dream was slipping away.

Through the dark hours of morning as Danae held onto life by the thinnest thread, Diana slipped in and out of drugged sleep, growing more and more determined that their tiny daughter would live and live to be a healthy, happy young girl. But David, fully awake and listening to additional dire details of their daughter's chances of ever leaving the hospital alive, much less healthy, knew he must confront his wife with the inevitable.

"David walked in and said that we needed to talk about making funeral arrangements," Diana remembers "I felt so bad for him because he was doing everything, trying to include me in what was going on, but I just wouldn't listen, I couldn't listen. I said, "No, that is not going to happen, no way! I don't care what the doctors say Danae is not going to die! One day she will be just fine, and she will be coming home with us!"

As if willed to live by Diana's determination, Danae clung to life hour after hour, with the help of every medical machine and marvel her miniature body could endure But as those first days passed, a new agony set in for David and Diana. Because Danae's underdeveloped nervous system was sentially "raw," every lightest kiss or caress only intensified her discomfort- so they couldn't even cradle their tiny baby girl against

their chests to offer the strength of their love. All they could do, as Danae struggled alone beneath the ultra-violet light in the tangle of tubes and wires, was to pray that God would stay close to their precious little girl.

There was never a moment when Danae suddenly grew stronger. But as weeks went by, she did slowly gain an ounce of weight here and an ounce of strength there.

At last, when Danae turned two months old, her parents were able to hold her in their arms for the very first time. And two months later-though doctors continued to gently but grimly warn that her chances of surviving, much less living any kind of normal life, were next to zero - Danae went home from the hospital, just as her mother had predicted.

Today, five years later, Danae is a petite but feisty young girl with glittering gray eyes and an unquenchable zest for life. She shows no signs, whatsoever, of any mental or physical impairments. Simply, she is everything a little girl can be and more-but that happy ending is far from the end of her story.

One blistering afternoon in the summer of 1996 near her home in Irving, Texas, Danae was sitting in her mother's lap in the bleachers of a local ball park where her brother Dustin's baseball team was practicing. As always, Danae was chattering non-stop with her mother and several other adults sitting nearby when she suddenly fell silent.

Hugging her arms across her chest, Danae asked, "Do you smell that?". Smelling the air and detecting the approach of a thunderstorm, Diana replied, "Yes, it smells like rain." Danae closed her eyes and again asked, "Do you smell that?" Once again, her mother replied, "Yes, I think we're about to get wet. It smells like rain."

Still caught in the moment, Danae shook her head, patted her thin shoulders with her small hands and loudly announced, "No, it smells like Him. It smells like God when you lay your head on His chest."

Tears blurred Diana's eyes as Danae then happily hopped down to play with the other children. Before the rains came her daughter's words confirmed what Diana and all the members of the extended Blessing family had known, at least in their hearts, all along.

During those long days and nights of her first two months of her life when her nerves were too sensitive for them to touch her, God was holding Danae on His chest- and it is His loving scent that she remembers so well.

If there is a future there is time for mending-
Time to see your troubles coming to an ending.

Life is never hopeless however great your sorrow-
If you're looking forward to a new tomorrow.

If there is time for wishing then there is time for hoping-
When through doubt and darkness you are blindly groping.

Though the heart be heavy and hurt you may be feeling-
If there is time for praying there is time for healing.

So if through your window there is a new day breaking-
Thank God for the promise, though mind and soul be aching,

If with harvest over there is grain enough for gleaning-
There is a new tomorrow and life still has meaning.

Remember the time when we were kids and used to play Good Guys vs Bad Guys? Wanted to have some fun and at the same time to release stress? Make new friends? Come alone or bring your friends and family! "I never play paintball before, I don't know how.." is not an excuse to miss the fun! No worries, no one will laugh or mock at your lack of 'talent' to hold a paintball marker. Playing paintball didn't really require talent, just lots of guts, discipline and sportsmanship spirit, that's all!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LIKES TO TAKE THE PUBLIC STAIRS RATHER THAN THE LIFT OR ELEVATOR, PLEASE DON'T!!!!

NOTE THE DANGER TO TAKING THE PUBLIC STAIRS - THAT'S THE PLACE WHERE RAPISTS AND THIEF'S LIKE TO WAIT FOR THEIR VICTIMS!!!

When this was sent to me, I was told to forward it to my lady friends, but I forwarded it to most everyone in my address book. My men friends have female friends and this information is too important to miss someone.

Please pass it along and share it with your loved ones.

A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:

1) The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.

2) The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who's clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around specifically to cut clothing.

3) They also look for women on their cell phone, searching through their purse, or doing other activities while walking because they are off-guard and can be easily overpowered.

4) Rapist are most likely to attack & rape in the early morning, between 5:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

5) The number one place women are abducted from/attacked is grocery store parking lots. The number two: office parking lots/garages. Number three: public restrooms.

6) The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to another location where they don't have to worry about getting caught.

7) Only 2% said they carried weapons because rape carries a 3-5 year sentence but rape with a weapon is 15-20 years.

8) If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn't worth it because it will be time-consuming.

9) These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas in their hands, or other similar objects that can be used from a distance. Keys are NOT a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you're not worth it.

10) Several defense mechanisms he taught us are: If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it?, or make general small talk: 'I can't believe it is so cold out here,' 'We're in for a bad winter.' Now you've seen their face and could identify them in a line-up; you lose appeal as a target.

11) If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell STOP! or STAY BACK! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they'd leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

12) If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes), yell I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.

13) If someone grabs you, you can't beat them with strength, but you can by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm (between the elbow and armpit) OR in the upper inner thigh VERY VERY HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands - the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it - it hurts.

14) After the initial hit, always GO for the GROIN. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you'll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble and he's out of there.

15) When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

16) Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can, and if you see any odd behavior, don't dismiss it, go with your instincts!

You may feel a little silly at the time, but you'd feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do!

2. Learned this from a tourist guide in New Orleans : If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you....chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you, and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car, kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won't see you, but everybody else will. This has saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc, and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc.) DON'T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE. If someone is in the car with a gun to your head, DO NOT DRIVE OFF, repeat: DO NOT DRIVE OFF! Instead gun the engine and speed into anything, wrecking the car. Your Airbag will save you. If the person is in the back seat, they will get the worst of it. As soon as the car crashes, bail out and run. It is better than having them find your corpse in a remote location.

5 A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot or parking garage:

A.) Be aware: look around you, look into your car, at the passenger side floor, and in the back seat.

B.) If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

C.) Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out.

IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot. This is especially true at NIGHT!)

7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will not likely shoot, but even if he does, he will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times. And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN, preferably in a zigzag pattern!

8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP! It may get you raped or killed. Ted Bundy , the serial killer, was a good-looking, well-educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked 'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.

9. Another Safety Point: Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird. The police told her 'Whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.'

The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window, and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over. The policeman said, 'We already have a unit on the way, whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.' He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax women out of their homes, thinking that someone dropped off a baby. He said they have not verified it, but have had several calls by women saying that they hear baby's cries outside their doors when they're home alone at night.

Please pass this on and DO NOT open the door for a crying baby --- This should be taken seriously because the Crying Baby theory was mentioned on America's Most Wanted recently when they profiled a serial killer in Louisiana.
This one is specially dedicated to Ms. TwoFiveSix...cause she's asking me to take lots of photos during that event, however I can't due to being me myself in the field all the time as a referee, so I found Desmond Foo a.k.a Third Eye's photo collections instead. Here's some of the samples of Desmond's work during the recent Paintball World Cup Asia 2008 event in Bukit Jalil throughout the event from 14th - 16th November 2008. Enjoy!

Desmond's whole collections of photos for 3 days of the event can be viewed at:

Today's program finally ended. It's been a wonderful, successful day. We had lots of people coming to our booth, trying out free shooting of paintball, let them feel how does it feels like to hold a paintball marker, giving lots of information about the sport to the concern public. Thank you Asia City / Star City management for inviting us to do the program at your place!

Children playing with the air bunkers with awe. Luckily I had the Splatzoners with me to help out.

I just came back from dinner with the Splatzoners at Luyang Restaurant, having a very huge meal of crabs to end the day. A well deserved reward for everyone who has been working hard since yesterday!

So for those who are staying in Sandakan, or planning to Sandakan or living in districts near Sandakan, our next stop is SANDAKAN on the 5th - 6th December 2008 (yes, Jojon...paintball finally make its way to Sandakan!). Venue not yet known, but I will surely inform before the day comes.

Bah, Jojon...kasi ready ko punya buah salak tu ar...hahahahah~

Thank You Rachelle a.k.a Mrs. JayT for the photos during our program in Asia City! ^_^V

Well people, yesterday has been a busy day for all of us. We are all divided into 3 teams for our Paintball Awareness Program - ILP, Asia City Plaza and 1 Borneo. Today, will be our last day in Asia City (ILP & 1 Borneo only for one day ah...today only at Asia City ok!).

Should you have any inquiries about paintball, wanted to know more about this sport, meeting the Splatzoners who will be glad to tell you what paintball is all about (they only be available in the late afternoon after their special meeting with one of the Team Zealous member from KL) or try out shooting a few pellets (it's FREE!) just come to Asia City today. We are open until 6pm. All are welcome.

ps: My pc had some problem...huhuhuhu....suddenly it went on strike on me and temporarily I had to use my sister's laptop until the problem is solved...how sad....

Cute AngeL has chosen this dress to be one of 3 pairs that I must wear during her wedding day as her bridesmaid. It's not me in that dress in this photo...but that's the Dress, gown...whatever the name is. I wonder how do I look like in that outfit.
Once I returned from KL, I got both encouragement and certain people who loves to hurt others with their sarcastic remarks. Yes, our team in Splatzone Dragoons didn't win anything during the recent World Cup Asia 2008. Nor does Splatzone Pangaitz either.

But do the teams feel sorry about it? Nope. They went there not to aim too much nor being confident of winning anything, though if they can get a placing will be a bonus, but it shows that they are willing to take the challenge into a higher level rather than some people who just sit beside the field and watch, pointing fingers and still thinks that paintball is just merely a 'timbak-timbak' sport. How ignorant.

True, they, I mean, WE didn't bring a trophy back. But we didn't came back empty handed either (apart from the goodies! *laughs*). I believe all teams that went there gain something one way or the other. We came back with fond memories of making new friends, knowing the heights that we still can reach in future, will improve the weaknesses, gaining new experiences - we are so much better than those who never even touch a paintball marker in their whole pathetic lives, yet had the guts mocking us that we didn't win anything to be proud of ourselves.

We didn't need that to be proud. We already did things that makes us proud. We are paintballers. True paintballers play around the whole world whenever they can to live up their passion. It's not about the prize money, but the thrill, determination and the adrenaline rush that gives the kicks whenever we are facing an opposition team - we learn something from them, and they learn something from us too, I bet.

If you still think that paintball is just merely a 'timbak-timbak' sport out of nothing, then feel free to contact me and I show you what it truly meant. Other paintballers in this state will be more than glad to assist me to show you what it means. If mocking us losers for not winning anything material, I am glad, SO GLAD that you are not in our team, nor do you ever think of being a paintballer cause you still don't get what the true spirit of being a paintballer mean. If you mock us for not winning anything, means you are mocking those who didn't win either.

So keep on put your lazy butt on the chair, looking around the newspaper for sports column and try to see anymore news about us not winning anything as you claimed and point fingers again, remember, the next time you did so, one finger point at us, four more pointed back at you, telling you what an ignorant, miserable person you are.

So, if you think you will do better than us, why don't you form a team and sign up for the next tourney. At least the Splatzoners make it to Division 2 and Division 3, just like other teams. But you? I am afraid you won't even last few seconds in Division 4. *Laughs*

Game On!!! ^_^V
Here's some photos taken during World Cup Asia 2008. Will post more once I got from the rest of the guys, as you know...I am not convenient to take photos myself...being in the field most of the time really stopped me from taking shots from the humble little digicam. Here's some pics taken from Jay-T's camera.

ps: You can also visit this link to get more photos of World Cup Asia 2008. It's taken by Desmond Foo aka Third Eye who frequently visits any paintball tournaments to take nice and professional photoshots: http://residentevilchef.com/WCA_DAY1/index_8.html

Splatzone family (Splatzone Dragoons & Splatzone Pangaitz with one Marshal..hehehe)

Team WASP from Australia
13th November 2008

I still lingered around the house at 2pm. My bag is half packed, lots of stuff still not put inside. "Lama lagi bah..." (my bad habit sometimes.). My handphone has been constantly ringing. My cousin, Abel (who is also Splatzone Dragoons' Team Captain) with Edward already arrived in the morning. Gracy and Eric are expected to fly at 7pm flight via AirAsia, while my flight is scheduled at 9:15pm the same date. Vermont and Tracy will fly the next day via the first flight. Came to think about it, while everyone travel at the same time, we all travel in separate flights...I had this stupid thought that should 'anything' happened (touchwood!) then at least some of the Splatzoners will survive to continue the legacy..something like that. (palis-palis~~~)

I left the house at 6pm. Tracy sent me a message that Gracy and Eric will wait until I arrived at LCCT then we will check into our hotel together. When I already in the queue to wait for boarding the plane, I was about to switch off my handphone when Aweng called. "Apa itu 16 points of Elimination?" aiyah....teda baca rulebook before jalan ka ni...sa manada bawa... =.=

Arrived at LCCT at 11:45pm. The journey was smooth, and I fell asleep throughout the whole journey. Gracy and Eric has been waiting outside the airport with Gracy's cousin, also named Edward. He sent us to our hotel at Sri Petaling. Abel and Edward who arrived earlier has been waiting for us. The minute we went inside the room, all bags, boxes that we brought together were opened, markers re-checked, well...since I am the referee I don't have much to prepare for myself, but the guys who came to and fro from our room to the next makes me find it hard to sleep. I think I finally dozed off at about 4am.

14th November 2008

Woke up at 5:30am, so that I won't have to fight for bathroom with the rest. My brother, Aaron picked me up and we drove to KL Central to pick Jay-T and his wife, however, again...because of the unreliable GPS, we got lost and the 20 minute journey turns to almost an hour. Since I be the one who must arrive earlier than the rest, my brother decided to send me to Xtion Paintball Park first.

I arrived, greeted by the refs who had been working with me throughout the years. Azrul handed me the jersey and said "Sorry ya Gab, takde size kecik...semua XL.." and Aweng jumped in front of me and said "Ko di Division 2 field...sa di Division 3 field, hahaha..." pandai jak dia sana cari kerja senang...

So, the game started at about 8am. However, barely few rounds after that, the game was stopped due to compressed air and power supply problems. It was almost noon when they resumed the game. We had an hour break afterwards for lunch and prayers and then resume the game at almost 2pm. As I expected, it started to drizzle late in the afternoon but we managed to end the day's games at about 6pm.

15th November 2008

I woke up at 6am, while the rest of the Splatzoners were still sleeping. They no longer had any games so I had to go alone. The game started again at 8am for all divisions. This time, Daniel switched my position where I was a base marshal from the day before, and today I am the ground marshal (just like last year). Wuu..the field is wet and muddy!!!!!

However, it started to rained heavily before lunch break and again, all referees and players take shelter under our respective camps. But after the rain and lunch, we managed to finish the day's game at 3pm, because there are not many teams in Division 2 and 1.

I'm already covered with paint and dirt from head to toe by then. My poor sneakers and pants.

16th November 2008

Last day of WCA. Everything ran smoothly and all our games were done above the scheduled time. Daniel is so impressed. But the ground is so muddy that one participant from Indonesia remarked "Kuala Lumpur yah..." suits that name better.

Game ended at about 4pm. Found the rest of the Splatzoners relaxing near the Dye booth. Argghhh~~~ I missed the cheap sale!!!! That's the thing about being a referee, you can't grab the goodies because you had to be in the field at all times! My brother proudly show his Joy Division Angel-1 marker that not everyone owns it here in the whole country. It's like own a Ferrari or something. He also got a Joy Division jersey that was signed by the Joy Division guys. No offence, boys...the jersey looks good on you all, but when my brother wears it, he looks like a stripper!!! *evil grin* (ps: Angel-1 is actually a dream marker of mine...but now my bro has it..huhuhuhu~ )

17th November 2008

Checked out at 12noon. Gracy's cousin, Edward came and drop us at Putrajaya for a stroll then sent us back to Sri Petaling where our hired transport arrived shortly. Grabbed our stuff and went to LCCT.

By coincidence, we met Gracy's friend, Ezad (the guy who do some magic tricks at Magic-X show in TV) and he supposed to take the same flight as us. While waiting and having some Mc D's, Ezad showed us some tricks to kill some time. We also bump into teams from Thailand, Japan and Sarawak there.

Arrived home at about 2am, tired...but filled with satisfaction about the year's event. This year WCA might not be as grand as last year, but I am glad that once again, I saw great players, great games, less hassle, meeting old friends.

If I had the chance to go again next year, I might still stick to the black and white striped jersey. I love what I am doing now. Just like Jabber quoted "It takes a certain type of person to be a paintball player. It also takes a particular type of person to be a marshal or referee. The player gets rewarded by the adrenaline rush and sense of victory when they win a game. The referee, however, has to get their kicks by some other means.” I can still see myself in that same jersey for another 5 years (God willing!)

Many thanks to brother Aweng, Big bro Faizam for picking me up from the hotel to the venue every morning, Eddie for bringing me to the best Satay Kajang..suda makan abis, tapau lagi tu...hujan-hujan pun sanggup datang ni pick me up; Edward for driving us, tengah-tengah malam pun pigi airport juga pick us up..kesian...also to Momon's cousin, Nana for bringing the guys ronda-ronda KL (I heard sempat lagi racing sama mat rempit!) and Denise, nice to meet you again.

Thanks Eric Foo for posting this article into our forum. Thank You Ariel Chew for coming to WCA to make help us out to spread the paintball awareness to people out there.

An Extreme Sport of the Colourful Kind
Words by Ariel Chew

Extreme, you say?

Some people say that paintball can cause massive injuries if the safety rules are not obeyed. Others say that the marker is actually a gun in disguise and therefore, could be deemed as a weapon.

But I have another theory why paintball is considered an extreme sport.

See, no one who has played paintball before can feel neutral about it. There are no two ways about it - paintball generates emotions to the extreme. Either they love it so much that they are addicted to it or they get totally freaked out by memories of being shot at or having to breathe through a suffocating foggy mask.

Does it hurt?

The fear is real. Tons of people have great concern over the amount of pain incurred should a paint pellet hit them. “It’s a frequent question among the first-timers who come to my centre. They would ask me if it would hurt badly,” said Gabrielle Sheila Sunam, the 28-year old operator of Kota Kinabalu Paintball Centre. “I would tell them to go ahead, play a game and experience getting hit themselves. If they can take the pain, good. If the pain’s too much for them, then they are free to stop after a game.”
Image
“Of course it hurts!” chuckled 40-year old Garry Husband, one of the head referees of the recent Paintball World Cup Asia Series held in Xtion Paintball Park, Bukit Jalil. Which was why most of the referees were clad in at least two layers of jersey, despite the hot weather. Being protected from injuries by their clothing frees them to concentrate fully in refereeing the game instead of trying to duck away from the painful paint pellets.

“But the pain ceases to matter when the player is gripped by the sheer adrenaline rush of the game.” The English man also fondly known as Jabba the Hut proceeded to show me a round scar on the side of his neck. The scar had been there for years and years and was just one of many. The other referees also have their own battle scars, but it was the least of their concerns.

“You need to have guts to play paintball,” stressed Kamarulzaman, a 24-year old referee.

By the time a player qualifies for a tournament, the aches and pains of paintball are but a distant and forgotten fear. They are hooked to paintball because they like competition, movement, strategy and improving their skills.

Garry, who has been involved in paintball since 1986 had this to add, “It takes a certain type of person to be a paintball player. It also takes a particular type of person to be a marshal or referee. The player gets rewarded by the adrenaline rush and sense of victory when they win a game. The referee, however, has to get their kicks by some other means.”

A passion to ensure fair play and seeing the rules of the game being adhered to are the things that keeps him motivated to referee paintball tournaments all over the world. “I also love the fact that I make many new friends every tournament I go to. And to me, there’s nothing more fun than paintball, even twenty two years down the road!”

Malaysia, the Paintball Hub of Asia Pacific

The history of paintball in Malaysia began barely 8 years ago when the first paintball game was held in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang. The paintball fever only started gaining momentum from 2006 onwards when the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Tourism Ministry took an interest in the sport and promoted it to the masses. Thereafter paintball fields and teams started growing like mushrooms after the rain.

“Even though Malaysia is at its infancy stage in paintball (as compared to countries like United States of America and Europe that have about 20 years of head start), the Malaysian teams have quickly acquired the experience and skills to compete internationally”, said Raja Khairul of Skirmish Paintball Asia, the main sponsor for WCA 2008. Such was the glowing feedback received from the other international teams he met while competing in tournaments worldwide.

Image
Skirmish Paintball Asia has implemented a few strategies to promote paintball in the country such as dropping the price of their products to 50% - 60% of their original price. “We want to create a greater awareness for this sport and to make it affordable for everyone to play,” said TC Gan, co-founder of Skirmish Paintball Asia.

Add year-long sunny weather, great infrastructure and ample land for playing fields to the equation, it is no wonder that Malaysia is the leading paintball hub for Asia Pacific and venue for the Paintball World Cup Asia (WCA) tournaments.

Started in 2006, the championship is the third in the series and is rapidly gaining popularity and participation from various parts of Asia and even Europe. The excitement was thick and palpable at the tournment which took place last weekend at Xtion Paintball Park, Bukit Jalil.

"Yeah phew, it's definitely hot here but we love it!" said the cheerful members of WASP from Australia who were one of the participants of WCA 2008.

Girls Wanna Have Fun, Too
Image
Paintball is one game where girls get equal footing with guys. It’s not a sport that celebrates pure brawns and brutal strength. All you need is to be a team player, have good reflexes and be nimble on your feet.

Mahira, a sweet and petite 16-year old girl hails from Team Warrior. Together with her other guy team members, they won the MY-NPL 2008 Division 3 championship held on 1-2 November in Petaling Jaya.

“I like my team because everyone dares to take risks and try new strategies,” she said with a winsome grin.

When asked if she was treated any differently because she was the only girl in the group, she merely shrugged, “No, they treat every member the same. No special treatment for me at all but that’s fine by me.”

The dainty lass have been playing paintball for the past 2 years. It was a way to release the stress and tension of studying. Like any hardcore paintball player, she was not concerned about scars and pain caused by the sport. “I love having to make split second decisions and thinking on my feet. Although my ambition is to be a doctor, I also dream of being a professional paintball player one day.”

You go, girl.

Age Doesn’t Matter, Really

Young or old, everyone who’s anyone can play paintball. The young ones would prefer the tournament or speedball type of games. These games are typically held in the small confines of a playing field with colourful air inflatable bunkers and are over within 2 to 5 minutes. Being physically fit is a must at speedball.

The older ones (40 and above) normally prefer woodsball (games held in the jungle or larger fields). The bigger field size and typically larger amount of players lead to a longer playing time. This allows for scenario game playing such as ambushes, capturing of forts and protecting VIPs.
Habibah Abdullah, the youthful looking 54 year-old manager of Team Warrior said with twinkling eyes. “Paintball keeps me young at heart. It is fun, keeps me on my toes and gives me a zest for life. Anyone who wants to look and feel young should give paintball a try.”

The woman knows what she's talking about. Her husband Roselan Yaacob competed in the Paintball World Cup Asia 2008 Division 2 with gusto and he’s 56 years old!

A Healthy Hobby

A year ago, Habibah got involved in paintball for her son’s sake. Hafizil was 14 years old then and wasn’t very good in football or basketball. He loved paintball but was too young to join his older brother’s team. Habibah decided to scout around for players around her son’s age and soon Team Warrior (comprising youths) was birthed.

“I don’t regret my decision to form the team because I see such wonderful changes in each of the members’ lives. They learned how to work as one, how to care for each other and respect their teachers/trainers. They matured a lot in this one year,” said Habibah. “The changes are possible because the youngsters are so teachable and eager to learn.”

She was also grateful for the generous guidance given to her charges by experienced paintball players from other teams especially Killer Bees which is led by her 28-year old son Hafizin.

The unique and vibrant family has 3 paintball teams under one roof – Team Warrior managed Habibah, Team Killer Bees led by her son Hafizin and Team Rimba Bandits led by her hubby Roselan. They also run a paintball field set in a jungle called Kem Isi Rimba.

Looking at them, it’s safe to say that a family that plays paintball together stays together.

Some people shy from playing paintball because it can be a rather costly affair. The paintball marker, mask, paint pellets, rental of playing field and other related gear don’t come cheap. Still, the benefits derived from the sport make it worth every sen. It gets kids out of their stuffy computer rooms into fresh air and sunshine. It provides much-needed exercise and is a great stress reliever to city slickers. Best of all, it teaches discipline, teamwork and good sportsmanship.

So, what are you waiting for? Head for the nearest paintball centre to see if you have what it takes to play some fast ball.

It's been a very entertaining day today. I burst out laughing in front of my computer screen that caused everyone around me look around as if I am already out of my mind.

There is this Mr. Clown, he accused me of having these kind of 'affair' with my friend because of some pics and captions he saw at my friend's Friendster page. I pity for him for being narrow minded and so ignorant. Wake up la woi...we no longer live in Dark Ages. It's already 2008 la!

This is the so called 'controversy' pic that moron was busy trying to provoke me about:

Wah...even for pics above already accuse me of being with guys here and there...i cannot imagine la if that idiot saw me with my best buddies..pingsan kali...silap-silap kena tuduh lesbian or bisexual~ (LOL!!!!)

Anyway, once again, you are NOT, I repeat, NOT in the position to get my explanation for the photos above. But yeah...some people just simply judge from the first glance at it. Only the people who knew us, the people attended the gathering that time and the person who posted this photos in his Friendster knew what is going on, that is enough. You are not in the position to judge who am I. You never did and never will.

Thanks for making my day a fun one. It's really funny! ^_^V

After 3 days of rain, shine, mud, paint, shootings and not to mention sweat, the adrenaline rush that started from 14th November 2008 until 16th November 2008, Paintball World Cup Asia is finally over, marking the end of the Paintball Asia League season for the year. Here's some of the photos taken during the Peter Tananak's Annual Family Gathering.

Date: 8th November, 2008
Time: 10am onwards
Venue: The Sunam's Residence, Kg. Takuli, Beaufort.

The gathering was started by a Mass lead by Rev. Bishop Datuk Cornelius Piong (My 2nd Cousin) followed by blessing of the house, lunch, getting to know you session until late in the evening. Each family clan were advised to wear colour coded clothes - Purple (Kimsin), Red (Sunam), Green (Aceh), Yellow (Imok), Blue (Amit).

This is the first time I attended such gathering. Shamefully I had to admit, this is also the first time I ever knew about my root, a little briefing of my family tree on my father's side. Apart from the common family members that I knew since I was little, not much was told about my great-grandfather or my great-great grandfather. So last weekend, I learned a little about him and also my great-great grandfather, Koh Thiam Hock (I had no idea why he named his son 'Tananak'), or how we actually become who we were as this day. But this is what had been told to me, so I shared with you all.

My great-grandfather's is the late Peter Tananak, a Dusun Tatana from Kuala Penyu. Married to the late Monica Senandu, they were blessed with 4 children - Martin Kimsin, Magdelina Aceh, James Sunam (Which is my granpa) & Catherine Amit.

I was told that he can speaks fluently in English, and that he was one of the first Catholic and the founder of St. Peter's Church, Kuala Penyu. No, he's not calling himself a saint. The church was named after St. Peter, the first Pope. Little do he realized that his name is Peter too, and his way of life is just like the saint himself, building a catholic faith foundation the community he lived in that still standing strong uptil today.

He died in 1981 (when I was only barely 1 year old) at the age of 103 but according to my 2nd cousin, Rev. Fr. Boniface Kimsin, his actual age might be as old as 115 when he died. Mama told me that she still remember that great-grandpa Peter's hearing is still in good condition, but his eye-sight was already lost due to his old age when she was first introduced to him.

Another interesting fact that I learnt in the family gathering is, we are welcoming another clan into the family tree, the Imok family. It was later known that when my great-grandparents were married, my great-grandma already has a son named Imok. Which is kind of surprising for all of us since this is the first time we knew that there is another branch added into the family tree, and this year is the first time that the Imok family clan joined us.

I belong to the Sunam clan. My grandfather is the late James Sunam, married to the late Mary Motto and was blessed with 5 children - Winnie Sunam, Victoria Sunam, Antonia Sunam, Margaret Sunam and John Michael Sunam (My dad). However, Victoria Sunam passed away due to illness as a child. The late Mary Motto passed away in year 1988 while my grandfather, the late James Sunam passed away in year 1998, both due to old age.

My aunt, Winnie Sunam married to the late David Wong. They had 3 children -
Martin Wong Kah Len, married to Amy Law, has a son, Nathaniel Wong Fui Yang;
Justin Wong Kah Yung, married to Cassandra Tan Hui Leng, has a son Elijah Wong Tze Yang;
Angela Wong Yin Ling, married to David Johat, also has a son Jordan David.

My 2 other aunts, Margaret and Antonia Sunam not married.

My dad, the late John Michael Sunam married to my mom, Judith Situyin Tsen, thus resulting 6 of us in the household - Me, my brothers Aaron Miguel, Zachary Alan and Benjamin Isaac and my sisters, Kirstin and Kezia Sunam. My brother Aaron is now engaged with Tracy Hilda A. Dukim. My dad passed away in year 2001 after losing his battle against brain cancer.

Another interesting fact is, Tracy is actually an extended family member from the Magdelina Aceh clan. Magdeline Aceh was married to Mak Sui Long. Tracy's mother, Justina Mak happened to be an extended family member to the Mak family clan in our tree. We're not blood related but only by marriage; so this union between my brother and Tracy will bring the family ties even closer.

My grandpa also adopted 2 sons - Julian Kissil and Francis Embu.

That's part of the reason why such annual gathering is held, where the Kimsins, Sunams, Tans, Maks, Imoks (See...none of us were named Tananak) can gather and see how much the family has grown over the years. Well...also for all of us not to forget Peter Tananak's legacy, that we should never forget the name of this great man in our lives, he was the reason why I am here.

Because none of us were surnamed Tananak, it's even more the reason why this gathering thingy should continue each year, so that for each generation that was born into this family tree won't forget the name Peter Tananak & Monica Senandu for the rest of our lives and our next of kin will keep on talking and passing it on.

I should say, I am proud to be Peter Tananak's kin.
An old man and woman were married for years even though they hated each other. When they had a confrontation, screams and yelling could be heard deep into the night. A constant statement was heard by the neighbors who feared the man the most: "When I die, I will dig my way up out of the grave to come back and haunt you for the rest of your life!"

They believed he practiced black magic and was responsible for missing cats and dogs. There were also strange sounds at all hours. The man was feared and enjoyed the respect it garnished.

One day, he died abruptly under strange circumstances, and the funeral had a closed casket. After the burial, his wife went straight to the local bar and began to party as if there was no tomorrow.

The gaiety of her actions were becoming extreme while her neighbors approached in a group to ask these questions: "Are you not afraid? Concerned? Worried? This man practiced black magic and stated that when he died, he would dig his way up out of the grave to come back and haunt you for the rest of your life?"

The wife put down her drink and said, "Let the old guy dig. I had him buried upside down."
Wew....I am finally home. It's been few days leaving my computer. Glad to be home once again.
The day I arrived at Labuan on the 5th evening, once again, I had the bad feeling that my stay for the night isn't going to be pleasant. So when the guy who was assigned to pick me up from the terminal offered to send me to the nearby supermarket to buy some necessities, I immediately agreed and rushed to pile my hands some goodies and for some reason, I am urged to get a new towel, a big one.

True enough, they assigned me a place to stay at the Kilan Agriculture Park, alone in a dorm supposed meant for 4 people per room, no TV (it's ok), old model air conditioned (it's still ok), fan (nice), 2 double deckered bed with a pillow each (more than ok), bathroom (neat), a dressing table (that's fine). But when that dude left me alone, I unpacked my stuff and was about to take a bath when I realised the bathroom lights are not working. Geez...somemore, there is no blanket prepared...thank God I bought the big towel! Then one more thing, even though it's kind dark in the bathroom, with barely dim light from the bedroom to light the bathroom place, I saw a small, purple object on the bathroom floor. Thinking it's just a door stopper (since it was near the door) I ignored it. To my surprise, when I woke up the next morning, the 'door stopper' is actually a bar of soap! Thank goodness I didn't step on it the night before!

The session went on just fine, I hope. A little disappointment from the participants that attended the course, but I do wish they can find it in their hearts and minds to work hard to make the program work, not for my own good, but for theirs as well. Biasalahkan...kalau suda benda free, manada urang pandai appreciate. The course was paid for them for free, then sponsored 3 meals per day including tea break, they had very good reason for being there and enjoy the luxury.

My cousin Ronnie arrived on the 6th where then he decided that we moved into the town area and checked into one of the hotels for the night. I made a brief visit to the coming new paintball centre, didn't have the chance to meet Romie, one of our Splatzoners team member because I was so tired, but my cousin did. The next morning, we both made our last minute shopping that mostly not our stuff but for the people who asking this and that (which the very big reason why I dislike telling 'some' people where I am going) as if I don't have to carry my own stuff.

Owh well, if it wasn't for Yatie and her husband to help us out, being so kind to ensure that we all okay in Labuan, I would say my stay in Labuan for few days is bad...

Once again, thank you Yatie for your kind hospitality towards us. I will be looking forward to Labuan again to visit your place. =)

I had a dream. I dreamed that I was already in Labuan, with my presentations all gone, my backup copy was lost and I was shivering and shaking in front of a group of teachers who are wondering why the hell I was there - acting like an idiot and cracking stupid jokes. I woke up, feeling uneasy and cancelled my trip to Bundu Tuhan, opened my computer and wanted to open my work and what do you know? My work is all gone! The file is corrupted. Spooky...

Few hours later, I am still in front of my computer, typing and clicking away while my phone SMS messages keep on flooding into my inbox, I am in mixed emotions - grateful, blur, upset, angry etc. Want to know why? Because I got a call from my cousin who supposed to come with me to Labuan in another 2 days as my technician told me that the program has been switched date again, from 8th Nov, and then to 6th Nov and now 5th November, that is tomorrow. TOMORROW. Sheesh....

I am glad that I followed my instict. That's a relief.

But I am so upset with this constant changing of date as they please. Luckily I had cleared most of my appointments, my work or else I will have to rush here and there, rescheduling and many more. So, the final result, I had to travel tomorrow on my own and my cousin will follow me first thing in the morning on the 6th. My plan now has been adjusted a bit:

4th November:
- Redo all my lost files as best as I could even if it means that I will not have sleep.

5th November:

- Go to Country Heights in the morning at our pro shop and print 2 copies of my work, burn one copy in a CD in case the pendrive tries to give me some problem; get my paintball pants at Mega Laundry at the same place (Please God, don't make them close tomorrow..that pants is really needed!!!); I don't think I can find time to go KK Paintball and get my own goggles there, luckily my sister has hers at home...without my neck protector (alamak...).

- Get an afternoon ferry, hopefully can sleep during the journey (which I doubt I can do so)

- Arrived at Labuan, start my theory session outside the field, most likely will only start the field session the day after while waiting for my cousin to arrive. Hopefully...the field setup was ready when I arrive. Wouldn't want to see undone stuff waiting for me to finish off the job for them. - Dinner - Sleep.

6th November:

- Breakfast - My cousin arrived with the first ferry from KK - Checking out the field - Basic field sessions - Lunch - Mini tournament - bath/dinner - Ronny's technical class for marker managing - Sleep

7th November:

Wake up - brunch - chocolate shopping - hop on the speed boat or ferry to Menumbok - head to Beaufort and meet my family there.

8th November:
- The annual family gathering...aiyor...I need to wear red!

9th November:
- Back to KK doing some reports on my previous work.

10th November:
- Bundu Tuhan.

11th November:
- Back to KK from Bundu Tuhan.

12th November:
- In KK, packing my stuffs once more.

13th November - 16th November:
- Paintball World Cup Asia at Bukit Jalil.

I just hope things would be as simple as above...
Huaaaaa~ tomorrow I will be leaving again to Bundu Tuhan - KK - Labuan - Beaufort - KK and then few days after that will be flying across for the long awaited Paintball World Cup Asia at Bukit Jalil before head back home (hopefully with less bruises than last year) and sit quietly in KK until December for the planned Labuan Open (not yet confirmed) and my friend's wedding in Bundu Tuhan right after Christmas.

I am going to miss my blog, my computer, my cat...once again.

Gosh...I'm really wanted to do this right now!!!

I can't sleep.

I had tried to just now. But I just can't shut my eyes. So I decide to opened my email. My mailbox never was empty...it's always fill with notifications, emails from friends, spammers...and hey, what is this? Forwarded from the company? It's from some customer asking for his quotation. I checked the time email received - 4pm+. I had sent the quotation to him at 12pm!

Sakit juga hati la..I know who forward that email to my personal mailbox. But I decided to keep quiet, once again. But that person should be a little bit smart enough to check the 'Sent Item' first before starting to act like this or at least give me a call and ask la...no need to do like this quietly without putting a signature to the email as if I wouldn't know who did that. Again, that customer, what's the purpose of having a SPAM folder. I always checks on my SPAM folder just in case any of important emails didn't placed there by accident by the system...you know, you can't really rely on the system too much. They make mistakes too.

Really ruined my mood. Now I can't sleep. I'm really upset. I felt as if I haven't done my job. Feel like wanted to curse at someone. Wanted to yell or hit something to make me feel better. Take a deep breath now Bear....breathe in...breath out....think about the 'happy doses' you will get from Labuan in just few days...yeah....my Cadbury Mint need to be refill in the refrigerator.
After that 'Friendster.com.my' incident sometime ago, I had seen more and more of its kind into our little humble internet centre. Being the latest, there are some acts that makes me both feeling funny and a little p*ssed off at the same time.

3 days ago, the internet server that connects to all computers unable to access into the internet. Well, I put up a notice in Bahasa Melayu and English at the door, and another one at the counter which simply said "Sorry, No Internet!" that's short, brief and I believe, easy to be understand. At least, that's what I think.

I was wrong. Totally wrong. In came this bunch of students from *beep* college (I won't tell, but I guess some of you just knew) and asked me "Tiada Internet?" (Translation: No Internet?) in which I politely answered, "Ya, teda Internet..sorry." (yes, not internet. Sorry) Then, one of them chipped in and asked "YM pun tidak bole masuk ka?" (We can't logges into YM also?) Again, I replied, "Ya, YM pun teda dapat masuk." (Yeah, even YM.)

"Kalau gitu, Friendster boleh?" (In that case, we still can log into Friendster, right?) =.= omg....
"Amoi, untuk pengetahuan kamurang, Friendster, YM, semua tidak bole check...kamurang teda dapat masuk Internet. Siaurang punya internet line down...ok???" ( Miss, for your info, Friendster, YM, everything is unaccessible at the moment. You can't log into the internet. Ourinternet line is down, ok?)
"Bah, tia pa lah, kami mo pakai satu pc saja." (it's ok, we wanted to use just one pc .) So I opened one computer for them. 5 minutes later, the same herd of ladies came to the counter and put out an angry face and looked at me. "Napa tidak dapat masuk pigi Hotmail saya tuh??" (Why can't I log into my Hotmail account??) asked one of them. "Hotmail pun tidak bole ka??" (Hotmail also can't log in?)another chipped in again.

"Amoi.......sia rasa sa taruk tu notice di pintu sama yang di depan kamurang ni suda cukup jelas tau. "No Internet" maksud dia kamurang teda akan dapat masuk Friendster, YM, email atau apa-apa yang bermula dengan 'www' yang kamurang mo taip. Sampai la Internet line siaurang ni ok balik baru kamurang dapat guna internet. I take that kamurang semua teda mo guna suda tu PC 11 kan, that will be RM1 please." (Miss, I think it's perfectly clear that I had put a notice at the door and one just right in front of you. "No Internet" means you all can't access into Friendster, YM, email or whatsoever that starts with 'www' that you wanted to type in until our Internet line is back to normal. I take that you guys won't be using that PC no. 11 anymore, that will be RM1 please.)

Sorry to say, the phrase "The Customer Is Always Right" can't be use at any place that they wanted. I think I would rephrase it as "The customer NEVER always right." ^^
