If you had always been a fan for X-Men then this must be your cup of tea. Starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine/Logan, along side with other co-stars such as Liev Schreiber (Victor Creed/Sabretooth), Danny Hudson (Stryker), Will I am (John Wraith), Lynn Collins (Kayla), Kevin Durand (The Blob/Frederick Dukes), Dominic Monaghan (Bolt/Chris Bradley), Taylor Kitsch (Gambit) and many others.

The story started from the beginning of Logan and Victor, siblings whom were born mutant with their own abilities. After a tragic incident of having killing his own father, the boys ran away to pursue their own lives and soon joined a troupe of mutants lead by Stryker. It was then, due to Victor's uncontrollable killing includes the innocents caused Logan left his group and begin his life as a humble lumberjack in the Canadian mountains where he lived peacefully for several years with his girlfriend, Kayla.

However, the peace didn't last long when Logan's former team mates was found dead one by one, Stryker seek to search him for help to eliminate Victor whom was behind all the killings. Logan refused, but soon after, Kayla became the next victim. That's where Logan reaches his limit of tolerance to Victor.

What's next, you say? Go and watch lah...haiya.... =p

This movie has a combination of humor, action and surprises. A recommended movie to watch with your friends and family.

I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. =)

Here's the trailer:

A story of love from a father to his son:

The pickle jar as far back as I can remember sat on the floor beside the dresser in my parents' bedroom. When he got ready for bed, Dad would empty his pockets and toss his coins into the jar.

As a small boy I was always fascinated at the sounds the coins made as they were dropped into the jar. They ended with a merry jingle when the jar was almost empty. Then the tones gradually muted to a dull thud as the jar was filled. I used to squat on the floor in front of the jar and admire the copper and silver circles that glinted like a pirate's treasure when the sun poured through the bedroom window.

When the jar was filled, Dad would sit at the kitchen table and roll the coins before taking them to the bank. Taking the coins to the bank was always a big production. Stacked neatly in a small cardboard box, the coins were placed between Dad and me on the seat of his old truck. Each and every time, as we drove to the bank, Dad would look at me hopefully. "Those coins are going to keep you out of the textile mill, son.

You're going to do better than me. This old mill town's not going to hold you back." Also, each and every time, as he slid the box of rolled coins across the counter at the bank toward the cashier, he would grin proudly.

"These are for my son's college fund. He'll never work at the mill all his life like me." We would always celebrate each deposit by stopping for an ice cream cone. I always got chocolate. Dad always got vanilla. When the clerk at the ice cream parlor handed Dad his change, he would show me the few coins nestled in his palm. "When we get home, we'll start filling the jar again."

He always let me drop the first coins into the empty jar. As they rattled around with a brief, happy jingle, we grinned at each other. "You'll get to college on pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters," he said. "But you'll get there. I'll see to that."

The years passed, and I finished college and took a job in another town. Once, while visiting my parents, I used the phone in their bedroom, and noticed that the pickle jar was gone. It had served its purpose and had been removed. A lump rose in my throat as I stared at the spot beside the dresser

where the jar had always stood. My dad was a man of few words, and never lectured me on the values of determination, perseverance, and faith. The pickle jar had taught me all these virtues far more eloquently than the most flowery of words could have done.

When I married, I told my wife Susan about the significant part the lowly pickle jar had played in my life as a boy. In my mind, it defined, more than anything else, how much my dad had loved me. No matter how rough things got at home, Dad continued to doggedly drop his coins into the jar. Even the summer when Dad got laid off from the mill, and Mama had to serve dried beans several times a week, not a single dime was taken from the jar.

To the contrary, as Dad looked across the table at me, pouring catsup over my beans to make them more palatable, he became more determined than ever to make away out for me. "When you finish college, Son," he told me, his eyes glistening, "You'll never have to eat beans again...unless you want to."

The first Christmas after our daughter Jessica was born, we spent the holiday with my parents. After dinner, Mom and Dad sat next to each other on the sofa, taking turns cuddling their first grandchild. Jessica began to whimper softly, and Susan took her from Dad's arms. "She probably needs to be changed," she said, carrying the baby into my parents' bedroom to diaper her. When Susan came back into the living room, there was a strange mist in her eyes. She handed Jessica back to Dad before taking my hand and leading me into the room.

"Look," she said softly, her eyes directing me to a spot on the floor beside the dresser. To my amazement, there, as if it had never been removed, stood the old pickle jar, the bottom already covered with coins. I walked over to the pickle jar, dug down into my pocket, and pulled out a fistful of coins.

With a gamut of emotions choking me, I dropped the coins into the jar. I looked up and saw that Dad, carrying Jessica, had slipped quietly into the room. Our eyes locked, and I knew he was feeling the same emotions I felt.

Neither one of us could speak.

If you are a Jackie Chan fan, you might not want to miss this. However, please be prepared people, this is the first time I saw Jackie Chan starring in a movie that doesn't involve his super duper kung fu kicks, just a regular guy with no kung fu whatsoever trying to achieve something for his own people in a foreign land called Japan.

This movie is about the yakuza (mafia) in Japan trying to outlive each other in order to hold power among the society, while Japan is facing problems with Chinese illegal immigrants that is increasing from time to time. Steelhead (Jackie Chan) went to find the love of his life, while trying to survive in the country where he has no knowledge of their language and life style finds his old friend, Jie and make more friends whom was also Chinese illegal immigrants that came from different parts of China. Together, they trying to make their living as decent as possible but 'a decent living' was hard, so they opt to do some underground business as well...but it turns out to be bad when the innocent Jie was mistakenly accused of modifying the pachinko machine and had his face slashed and his hand cut off by the Taiwanese gangster.

Steelhead finally found his girlfriend, Xiuxiu (Xu JingLei) that has already changed her name to Yuko Eguchi, the wife of Eguchi, one of the well respected Yakuza in the Shinjuku district whom Steelhead later saved his life and worked for. Steelhead finally found the 'victory' for the Chinese illegals alright, but as time goes by, it turns to be something that he was unexpected of.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars. =)

You can watch the trailer here:

I went to watch Shinjuku Incident with Kay last night. Well, it's weekday so the GSC in 1Borneo is totally deserted and there are only about 10 of us in the cinema 6.

So, right before the movie started, there is this 3 or is it 4 teens went to our row and one of the guys called on Kay and said "Excuse me, you are in our seats." we were kind of surprised because we were there even before the lights were off and was pretty sure that the seat we on was exactly the same as we saw on our tickets. So Kay told them that our tickets shows the number and the group went away, grumbling...haiya..there are more than dozens of empty seats all around, must have our seats to get good fengshui meh?

Okay, so that's solved it.

Then, as the movie started, the same group of teens were hurdling at our back rows. That's where the irritating part begins. From the beginning until the end of the movie, there is always a director wanna be making comments, remarks of the movie - I think he is trying to impress the lady that joined them. Fine, you want to narrate the movie ka, want to direct the movie like the script you wanted ka, it's okay with me but please la......we are trying to watch the movie and the last thing we wanted is the distraction from you at our backs.

As if that wasn't enough, they handphone rang at almost every minute and started talking on the phone like he was in pasar malam! Hello kawan, sekolah ada ka? You don't know what's the meaning of a handphone picture was crossed with red cross is it? We are in the cinema you stupid idiot, and I don't want to hear your lousy ringtone!!!

So, please lah...next time ah people, please be considerate to others. If you still want to pick up calls, your handphone sure has the 'silent mode'. If you still want to narrate the movie and talk out loud as if that cinema belongs to your father, then it's best you purchase a DVD and bring back home to watch.

So kacau...it was as if you are playing paintball with some idiot side coaching from outside the field. Geez.
An incident took place at Boat Quay. What happened was some idiot was trying to show off and declared that he would swim across the Singapore River. He jumped in and started swimming. But before he could reach the halfway mark, he started to panic and started to shout for help.

Being typical Singaporeans, a crowd started to gather to watch and yet no attempt was made by anybody to save that poor chap.

Suddenly there was a splash and the crowd turned to see a guy doing what seemed like a desperate attempt to reach the drowning victim. It was clear that this hero couldn't swim !

Luckily a tongkang filled with tourists was passing by and the operator saw the incident and picked both men from the water. The crowd cheered !

Back on shore, the crowd cheered again as the hero stepped off the tongkang. "Steady Lah !" and "Awright, man !" were among the many congratulations shouted.

The hero looked angry and shouted "Ka ni na! Siang too wa loh chui?" (*%#@! Who pushed me into the water?")

I believe in miracles and dreams that will come true.
I believe in tender moments and friendship, through and through.

I believe in stardust and moonbeams all aglow.
I believe there's magic and more there than we know.

I believe in reaching out and touching from the heart
I believe that if we touch a gift we can impart.

I believe that if you cry your tears are not in vain.
And when you're sad and lonely, others know your pain.

I believe that when we laugh a sparkle starts to shine.
And I just know that spark will spread from more hearts than just mine.

I believe that hidden in the quiet of the night,
there's magic moths and gypsies a fairy and a sprite.

I believe that if you dance the dances of your heart,
that greater happiness will find a brand new way to start.

I believe the gifts you have are there for you to share.
And when you give them from the heart, the whole world knows you care.

I believe that if you give, even just to one,
that gift will grow in magnitude before the day is done.

I believe that comfort comes from giving part of me.
And if I share with others, there's more for all to see.

I believe that love is still the greatest gift of all,
and when it's given from the heart then not one of us will fall.

The most difficult phase in life is not when no one understands you; it is when you don't understand yourself.

Whatever you give to life, it gives you back; Do not hate anybody. The hatred which comes out from you will someday come back to you. Love others, and love will come back to you.

For everything you have missed, you have gained something else; and for everything you gained, you lose something else. It is your outlook towards life - you can either regret or rejoice.

Arrow goes forward only after pulling in to backward, bullet goes forward only after trigger been pulled backward. Every human being will get happy only after facing difficulties in their life...so do not be afraid to face your difficulties, they will push you forward.

Remember that you are born to live; don't live because you are born! Don't go the way life takes you - take life the way you go!! =)

Invert adjusted very well into the household. He sleeps everywhere he likes. He ate like there is no tomorrow and within a short period since I adopted him, even the neighbors noticed that he gained weight, fast.

Well..the next time that you might visit any of these countries, you might need to take a note on these...it seems strange to you but for them, it's a law that you have to obey when you step on their grounds.

Italy: No Feeding Pigeons

Laws here are city-specific, Venice takes issues with pigeons speckling their beloved buildings with pigeon poop. Likewise, officials don’t appreciate tourists adding to the crowd and mess in St. Marks Square by feeding said pigeons. They also don’t want visitors sitting around shirtless, climbing into fountains, or even sitting on the sidewalk eating a sandwich. In Rome, climbing into fountains to cool off causes similar stress.

Penalty: At first, just a warning; fines can reach up to $600, though probably no more than $50 or $60 if you pay quickly. “The local police are quite tolerant about tourists feeding pigeons just to take a picture,” says a Venice spokesman.

Germany: Stopping On the Autobahn

As though driving the autobahn in Germany weren’t daunting enough, the laws add other risks. Running out of gas on the legendary highway is illegal — and your troubles snowball from there. Say you do find the needle on “E” and have to pull over to hoof it, in pursuit of gas. Walking along the autobahn is illegal, too... not to mention terrifying.

Penalty: A little under $100 for endangering other drivers — once for running out of gas, and again for walking.

Thailand: Driving Shirtless

Don’t let the tropical weather tempt you to joy ride with your shirt off in Thailand. Police can (and do) hand out tickets if they spot you topless while driving a car or motorcycle.

Penalty: A mere slap on the wrist (or sun-burned shoulders). Tickets go for a few hundred baht (about $10).

Canada: Paying In Pennies

Canada’s Currency Act of 1985 sets out the guidelines for how coins should be used, including reasonable limits for the shelling out of endless coins. What’s reasonable? Don’t try using all coins to buy something that costs $10, or even using all one-dollar coins (sometimes called “loonies”) to pay for an item that costs more than $25. But then, what kind of loonie wants to carry so many coins anyway?

Penalty: If the seller actually wants to take all your pennies, he can, but by law he can also tell you to scram.

France & England: No Kissing At Train Stations

By some accounts, April 5, 1910 was the day romance died on French railways: Kissing was reportedly banned to help deter lover-induced rail delays. But the law seems to be unheard of today. “Are you sure this isn’t a law in Great Britain?” a French spokeswoman at the consulate asked us. What a coincidence: It turns out that Virgin Trains has recently posted “No Kissing” signs at its station in Warrington Bank Quay, in northwest England.

Penalty: While there’s no penalty now for train-related kissing in France, the folks at Warrington Bank Quay will politely ask you to move your smooching to the designated “kissing zone” near the car park.

Moscow: Driving A Dirty Car

Some say this is just an excuse for Moscow police to over-ticket drivers, but you should still watch the filth factor on your rental car. How dirty is dirty? That’s unclear. A recent newspaper survey explored the idea of how to even define “dirty” — almost half said a car was too filthy if you couldn’t read the license plate, while 9 percent said the determining factor was if you couldn’t see the driver. (that's what I called DIRTY enough! *laughs*)

Penalty: You can get a ticket. Fines might be, shall we say, open to interpretation. Here is a case where you might politely offer to pay the officer up front — $100 should cover it — and be on your way.

Grenada: Strolling In A Bathing Suit

Visiting cruise-ship passengers have gotten under the skin of the local police in Grenada, who cringe at tourists walking off the beach during their shore excursions and into town wearing nothing but their swimsuits. The police chief instituted a fine, and supposedly has also expressed interest in fining folks who wear their jeans too low.

Penalty: In theory, a $270 ticket, though the tourist board assures us that they don’t think it has really been enforced.

Denmark: Driving With Headlights Off

Renting a car? You must always drive with headlights on, says the law in Denmark, to distinguish you from a parked car. Do the Danes really drive so slow that there’d be any confusion? Actually, studies have found that other drivers are more aware of surrounding vehicles when other cars’ lights are on, thus reducing accidents. The law may get adopted across the European Union.

Penalty: Driving without headlights will get you a fine of a little under $100.

Singapore: Chewing Gum

Feeding birds, spitting, and not flushing public toilets will also get you in trouble. Singapore’s most quirky-seeming laws stem from the government’s well-meaning desire to keep things tidy — and let’s face it, gum wads, pigeon droppings, and unflushed toilets aren’t pretty. The infamous gum law actually loosened up in 2004, and Nicorette is now legal (though you have to get it through a doctor and they take down names). Selling regular gum is more of a problem than just casually chewing it, a spokesman says. And more changes are on the way: Gambling will become legal later in 2009, and you can now legally dance on top of bars.

Penalty: About $100 a ticket, especially for leaving a toilet un-flushed; many public loos auto-flush, we learned, but it’s wise to double-check on your way out.

None is better than the other...
Only BAD people.
So before you start judging this race is bad, that religion is no good...
people from this place is stupid, the other is smarter-than-thou,
look into the mirror and see...are you good enough to point such thing to others?

Are you 'pure' enough that you got the right to judge other people?

I jumped from the bed just now when I got the SMS from a concerned paintballer. Even before I opened the web that he sent me, I saw it was already been posted from another concerned paintballer in my FaceBook...sad...it this story is true, it's sad to know that this person is the one that we once had enjoyed a happy game once, the one who's expected to bring good and hopeful promising future of paintball to Labuan turn out to be other people's nightmares. I guess the small island of Labuan was shocked even greater than us here in KK.

I am sorry to know there are people out there suffering because of the selfish act of these kind of people. Estimated RM4 million was involved in this bogus schemes...lots of people suffers. So people, please be careful.

The above is just another day...another chat log that was saved in my computer. Another sample of cyber bullies. For those who always encounter such thing...this is a form of bullying - in the virtual world. Why I highlight this in my blog today? It's because in our country, the 'cyber bullying' issue was still undiscussed, but it's exist. I knew some people in the chat world that went into depression because of being bullied in the cyber world.

For you who has kids or younger siblings that spents their time surfing the internet frequently, please be careful. You never knew that is in store waiting for them. Chatrooms, especially from MIRC is a dangerous place to explore...if you met the wrong person, it could ruin you for the rest of your life.

The sad thing is, when some morons just asking for your Friendster, Facebook, Tagged or whatever just to see how you look like. If you are in the 'it' list, then you are in. Or else, they would keep it as a stock to humiliate you in the next time they got nothing to do.

Most of them asking for sex chats, phone sex or having a meet up and have sex. It's all about sex in their dirty minds. Ladies, don't easily point out that all these culprits were men. There are stories that I got from my guy friends out there that there are actually women who bare their naked bodies to them via webcam, some even asking for a meet up..these ladies might just be the girl next to your door!

The people that has potential to be cyber bullies of predators pattern will be either the log that I pasted above...or using obvious nicks such as S3xMan, Looking_4_19Stand, ejaculation or they would simply greeted you "Hi, are you a virgin?" or "wanna sex chat with me?" or "Open Minded?" and yes, if you refuse them, they would start to curse you around.

The same applies to the mentally sick cyber bullies too. Do not let their words bring you down. These are just a bunch of people who wanted to feel superior in the cyber world when in reality, most of them might be, bully victims themselves. Sad, huh?

So what do you do with these bunch of sad, pathetic people?
Easy.
If you in MIRC, just type /ignore and your problem's solved. It's not worth it to let these people to make you miserable.

My brother and his fiancee went to attend their pre-wedding interview today at St. John's Church, Tuaran today. Before the interview, the couple discussed about the questions that will forwarded to them during the interview. (I happened to tag along because...well...just happened to tag along lah...bukan kacau daun ok! The couple was in the church parish office for the interview while I wandered alone to explore Tuaran town...nothing much because I ended up stayed in an internet cafe so I got nothing to write about it today.)

Okay, back to the story of my brother and his bride to be, they both were discussing about it while I was busy minding my own business, finishing the last bites of McChicken that we 'tapau' from McD's while on the way to Tuaran and keep on suggesting which married cousin to call to ask for their opinion and such. I log into Yahoo! Messenger and found my cousin's fiance was online and chatted with her.

She asked me what to answer if the priest asked, "Why you both wanted to get married?"

I told her..."I don't know. You're the one engaged to my cousin, so you must be prepared for such question-lah!"

She also replied that she don't know...so...for those who had attended the interview before your wedding held at the church, what would your answer be? Mana la tau kan....I can 'borrow' some tips..hhehehehee~ =p
Well readers...if you interested with doing magic tricks, learning but don't know where to get it...or something like that - just feel free to browse this page: http://www.sabahmagicgallery.info/catalog/

Is it too girly?
Give me your opinion ya! =)
One of the reasons why people got so sentimental - it's because...memories are the only thing that doesn't change - when everything else does. There are things that you can't hold on forever, no matter how much you fight it for it. Sometimes destiny isn't always good, it becomes playful.

When you met someone you learnt to love, you thought it was destiny who made your paths cross. But what if making your paths cross is just part of the game that the playful destiny created? Making you realised in the end that the person you thought that was destined for you wasn't really meant to stay...but only destined to make you feel love and leave you when you've already fallen.

It's not easy to state a reason when you decide to leave your love.

Some might think it's just an excuse.

Some might not actually believe.

Some will blame you.

Some might be even mad at you.

What they don't see is the fact that - It hurts you more when you hurt someone that don't deserved to be hurt, especially when you can't state the reason why you have to leave.

You can never own something that was never yours. So let's stop gripping on things that we expect to last forever.

Nothing lasts forever.

Forever is a lie.

Everything is transitory.

So while you have something in your hand, put in mind that it's just borrowed. So that someday when its gone, it won't take you eternity just to let it go...

When your feelings get strong for someone, it's always wise to stop for a while and give your heart - A time to breathe. A time to use your mind to weigh the situation based on reason, not your emotion; because the saddest thing that can happen is when one fall in love while the other wants nothing more than friendship...

Love sometimes can be magic; but magic can sometimes be an illusion. There are times when I wish I can be limited to certain emotions, so that I will not have to experience pain, never feel betrayed or disappointed, and never get my fragile heart broken.

But the same thing means that I'll never know how it feels to loved and be loved in return, the thought of it..kind of scares me. To have a heart that is whole but numb, or a heart that is broken but real?

Someday we'll all be looking back to those days we learned to love, get hurt, cry and fight. Maybe when that time comes, we'll be laughing at our dumb selves, realizing how stupid we are to stand up for things we knew we'rent really meant for us. But I guess learning takes time, and mistakes makes one's journey fun.

Life is what we make it, love makes the world go around.

So let's live, love and take whatever pain it brings.

For being there for me through thick and thin
For sharing my laughter and tears all through the years
For listening
For your advice
For being there - just there without saying anything
For your warm hugs
For your support in everything I do
I would like to give this wonderful woman
A GREAT "THANK YOU"
For being part of my life for these past 13 years
And yes, let's continue this for many years to come!

My dearest friend, Ellsie...
I always thank God for the gift of you.

I feel down today.
Feels like a heavy stone in heart.
I'm sad.
So unhappy.

After the Holy Thursday, we will be entering Good Friday before celebrating Easter this weekend.

Of the numerous Christian holy days on the liturgical calendar, Good Friday is perhaps the most solemn and profound memorial. Good Friday rituals and traditions are distinct from those of all other Church observances and add to Good Friday's considerable significance. The pulpit and the altar are bare, and no candles are lit.

The Church - stripped of its ornaments, the altar bare, and with the door of the empty tabernacle standing open - is as if in mourning. In the fourth century the Apostolic Constitutions described this day as a 'day of mourning, not a day of festive joy,' and this day was called the 'Pasch (passage) of the Crucifixion.'

The liturgical observance of this day of Christ's suffering, crucifixion and death evidently has been in existence from the earliest days of the Church. No Mass is celebrated on this day, but the service of Good Friday is called the Mass of the Presanctified because Communion (in the species of bread) which had already been consecrated on Holy Thursday is given to the people .

Traditionally, the organ is silent from Holy Thursday until the Alleluia at the Easter Vigil , as are all bells or other instruments, the only music during this period being unaccompanied chant.

Traditionally, the organ is silent from Holy Thursday until the Alleluia at the Easter Vigil , as are all bells or other instruments, the only music during this period being unaccompanied chant.

The omission of the prayer of consecration deepens our sense of loss because Mass throughout the year reminds us of the Lord's triumph over death, the source of our joy and blessing. The desolate quality of the rites of this day reminds us of Christ's humiliation and suffering during his Passion. We can see that the parts of the Good Friday service correspond to the divisions of Mass:

  • Liturgy of the Word - reading of the Passion.
  • Intercessory prayers for the Church and the entire world, Christian and non-Christian.
  • Veneration of the Cross
  • Communion, or the 'Mass of the Pre-Sanctified.'
In the seventh century, the Church in Rome adopted the practice of Adoration of the Cross from the Church in Jerusalem, where a fragment of wood believed to be the Lord's cross had been venerated every year on Good Friday since the fourth century. According to tradition, a part of the Holy Cross was discovered by the mother of the emperor Constantine, St. Helen, on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 326. A fifth century account describes this service in Jerusalem. A coffer of gold-plated silver containing the wood of the cross was brought forward. The bishop placed the relic on the a table in the chapel of the Crucifixion and the faithful approached it, touching brow and eyes and lips to the wood as the priest said (as every priest has done ever since): 'Behold, the Wood of the Cross.'

Adoration or veneration of an image or representation of Christ's cross does not mean that we are actually adoring the material image, of course, but rather what it represents. In kneeling before the crucifix and kissing it we are paying the highest honor to the our Lord's cross as the instrument of our salvation. Because the Cross is inseparable from His sacrifice, in reverencing His Cross we are, in effect, adoring Christ. Thus we affirm: 'We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee because by Thy Holy Cross Thou has Redeemed the World.'

One may wonder why it was called 'Good Friday' when it's about Jesus' crucifixion and death? It's because of the 'good' that comes after His death. Without it then there will be no today. The cross - is a significance of triumph of the good.

I found this short video...I think I should get the newbies to watch this before I start the safety briefing...what you think?

On Palm Sunday, we celebrate the first joy of the season, as we celebrate Our Lord's triumphant entrance into Jerusalem where he was welcomed by crowds worshiping him and laying down palm leaves before him. It also marks the beginning of Holy Week, with the greatest tragedy and sorrow of the year.

So, we are looking forward for this Thursday's coming Holy Thursday.

Maundy Thursday, known officially in the Catholic Church as Holy Thursday, is the Thursday of Holy Week. Maundy Thursday commemorates the institution of the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Ordination, and begins the Paschal Triduum. The name "Maundy" comes from the Latin antiphon Mandatum Novum, i.e. "a new mandate." This new mandate from Jesus is taken from John 13:34: love one another as I have loved you.

Jesus shared the final meal with his disciples, called the Last Supper, on the night before he was crucified. The institution of the Holy Eucharist occurred during this meal, as indicated from the gospel excerpt below:

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is my body." And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, "Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I shall not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom" (Matthew 26:26-29 RSV)

Since Scripture and Tradition tell us that Jesus was crucified on a Friday, Jesus shared the important Last Supper with his apostles on a Thursday. The synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) seem to suggest that the Last Supper was a Passover Meal. However, John suggests that Jesus was crucified before the Passover Meal, on the Day of Preparation. Perhaps the Last Supper was done in anticipation of the Passover Meal, or was a Kiddush or some other religious meal. The gospel of John does not record the Institution of the Eucharist at the Last Supper, while the synoptic gospels do. However, John's gospel records Jesus washing the disciples' feet. Holy Thursday traditions are derived from all four gospels.

The Evening Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday begins the Triduum, which is the three-day celebration of the heart of the Christian faith: Christ's death and resurrection.

Holy Thursday is the most complex and profound of all religious observances, saving only the Easter Vigil. It celebrates both the institution by Christ himself of the Eucharist and of the institution of the sacerdotal priesthood (as distinct from the 'priesthood of all believers') for in this, His last supper with the disciples, a celebration of Passover, He is the self-offered Passover Victim, and every ordained priest to this day presents this same sacrifice, by Christ's authority and command, in exactly the same way. The Last Supper was also Christ's farewell to His assembled disciples, some of whom would betray, desert or deny Him before the sun rose again.

The Holy Thursday liturgy, celebrated in the evening because Passover began at sundown, also shows both the worth God ascribes to the humility of service, and the need for cleansing with water (a symbol of baptism) in the Mandatum, or washing in Jesus' washing the feet of His disciples, and in the priest's stripping and washing of the altar. Cleansing, in fact, gave this day of Holy Week the name Maundy Thursday.

The action of the Church on this night also witnesses to the Church's esteem for Christ's Body present in the consecrated Host in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, carried in solemn procession to the flower-bedecked Altar of Repose, where it will remain 'entombed' until the communion service on Good Friday. No Mass will be celebrated again in the Church until the Easter Vigil proclaims the Resurrection.

And finally, there is the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament by the people during the night, just as the disciples stayed with the Lord during His agony on the Mount of Olives before the betrayal by Judas.

Have a Blessed Holy Week.

I was browsing in the Internet while mumbling about the recent bad internet connection that I had when I stumbled upon these...well...are you addicted to blogging? Let's see if below hits you on the spot~ Hehehe...

1. When something happens, you immediately think to yourself "I can't wait to blog about this" and start structuring it in your head. Or when you're bored at school or work and you constantly think of different topics you could possibly blog about. (Yeah ~ hehehe....)

2. When your life seems to be so dull, but you think of something to blog about anyway because you love it so much. (Sometimes =p)

3. After you blog, you re-read your blog entry numerous times for enjoyment/amusement and to check your spelling/grammar to make sure your entry looks and sounds good. (*nods*)

4. You are always anxious to check your blog comments, and you get excited when you realize you have new comments. (Not for me, at least.)

5. You become acquaintances or friends with those that comment your blog. (*laughs* they are!)

6. When a friend you haven't seen in a while asks what you've been up to and you respond, "read my blog." (Again...this hit me. Mati la..hehehe...)

7. You can barely make it through a movie without wondering if you have new comments or if anyone on your blogroll has made a new blog post. (Nope, this is not me)

8. When you sacrifice needed sleep in order to blog and read other blogs. (Only when I am totally free~)

9. When you scavenge other blogs for good things to write about. (Sometimes! Hahaha...)

10. You check the sites on your blogroll several times a day. (Once a day ok la...)

11. You get upset when a blog you enjoy reading hasn't updated in a few days or more. (No lah!)

12. Blog sites make up 99% of your bookmarks. (Another No from me..)

13. You're constantly thinking of new ways to promote your blog. (Nope)

14. You become ecstatic when you visit a site that links to your blog. (Never happen to me)

15. It drives you insane when you can't think of anything to blog about. (No problem with this one too)

16. When you give up time with your friends just so you can blog or read other blogs. (So NOT!)

17. You become angry if you don't get many comments on a blog that you worked so hard on. (Never!)

18. You dream about blogging. (Too extreme for me!)

19. You're always checking your visitor count, and do anything possible to increase that number. (It's not important for me..uhuhuhu)

20. You spend hours making sure your blog looks good because appearance is just as important as the entries. (Only when I got bored of it's template =p)

21. You don't read books anymore because blogs are more entertaining. (I still read books so that I can share with it in my blog~ =p)

22. You look forward to the weekend because you know you'll have plenty of time for the blogosphere. (Nope)

23. You go off on someone when they tell you to get a life because blogging is your life. (uh...almost hehehehe)

24. You tend to cause conflict in real life or online because you know it will make a good blog entry. (Enough conflicts in my life already...so I don't have to do so.)

25. You refuse to talk to anyone who thinks blogging is lame. (This is so true, I snubbed her off and blog about it recently as well!! Hehehehehehe~)

and last not the least..an additional from my own:

26. You keep a digital camera with you or own a camera phone that would become handy and useful whenever you go and give details of every and anything that is possible! =p

I think I am somehow addicted to blogging, but I wouldn't want to seek treatment to cure this addiction because you know what - I LOVE BLOGGING!!

ps: Do you have any symptoms of blogging addiction to share other than above?
It was a hot day yesterday afternoon. So me and Leanna happened to be in Kolombong area and spotted this supposedly newly opened shop. They named it 'The Pau Shop'. So if you want to know where it is, it's just the same stretch of road with Giant Kolombong, opposite the Fajar Motor. You won't missed it as it's located just by the main road. Parking is kinda hard to find though but if you really love char siew buns, pau and a refreshing glass of milk tea ice, well you might find it's worth it. =)

The Pau Shop signboard inside...

The patrons that came there at 3pm...wah...tea break or tak payah kerja ni?

I decided to try their Lo Mai Kai (Glutinous Rice with Chicken) it's non halal though...
It has pieces of chicken, mushroom and pork sausage.
RM2.30 each. It's ok with me but Leanna said its a little bit too oily for her.

We had this tall glass of ice milk tea. The taste just right for my tastebuds, not too sweet.
RM2.50. Kinda a little bit costly. =.=

Our 'snack' hahahaha... Leanna's egg tart (RM1.00) and portugese egg tart (RM1.20),
Wu Kok - Fried yam stuffed with char siew (BBQ Pork) RM1.00 each and Char Siew Bun (RM1.30)

Okay...I won't complain about my recent gain weight..my fault. =.=
Gallivanter recommended this song for March...hrm...I love this one..I purposely put 2 different versions here. But then I love this female version (was told it was Jordin Spark's demo) =D Enjoy!

Having a guy dump you and say "We can still be friends"
Is like having your mom say "Your dog died but you can still keep it"

Think about it.
