May this time of trial will unite everyone regardless of race or religion, to join hands in prayer, to pray for peace to our country, to keep all of us from harm.

May God save Sabah, Sarawak, Labuan.
May God save Malaya.
May God save Malaysia.
Have mercy on us.
Grant us peace.

Amen.

"When prayers goes up, the blessings comes down." ~ Unknown
I remember that evening where we were introduced.  It was New Year's Day celebration in Upperstar.

I guess that simple hello, and the lively conversation we all had build a friendship that fast forwarded, it has been like, 4, 5 years?

Time flies so fast.

Well, over the years we had great fun. Somehow, good things shall come to an end.  This dear friend of mine has gone back to her hometown for a better future and yeah...one has to do what they got to do.

Wishing you all the best, Kaynisa...and hope to see you again soonest.  Will really miss those makan-makan, k-box, movie and all the fun things we did throughout the years.

Friends forever.

I was happily digging into dinner with Bunny and few of our paintball friends last night at Chanyai Villa when "BANG!" the loud sound came from the dark road which is facing the coffee shop where we are having our food.  I thought it was some car rammed on the tree or divider, or a bike or something.  It took us few seconds of silence, looking at the road, trying to find the driver or anything that caused the loud bang when one of my friend said, "Eh, orang kena langgar!!!" (Eh, someone got hit by a car!!).

Without delay, Bunny with 2 of our friends rushed to the road.  One of them is already trying to control the traffic as cars started to move slowly (as you know, some busybodies drove slow, wanted to see what's going on).  I took my mobile phone and dialed 112 (yes, it is for the mobile phone users in which it will still connects you to the nearest emergency numbers other than 999.)

Anyway, the kepoh-crowd is growing, me and my other friends watched from a distance. My call was transfered to the nearest hospital and I explained the situation as such...and hope for the best to the victim.  Bunny and the other guys returned after the patrol police arrive and took over.  There's another man talking to the policeman and according to the guys, he is one of the witness when it happened.  The car plate number was fallen off.

Ambulance arrived, but we saw the man (believing to be a chinese, around his 50's) had already been covered in newspaper.  He was killed in this hit and run incident.

The cheerful mood turn into solemn a bit for us.  We finished our food and decided to head somewhere for coffee.  As Bunny drove his car, we headed towards Kopi Ping, one of our joints where we normally had our soda lime and coffee, I sat in silence and had lots of things in my mind.

"Isn't it sad for someone to go like that...without any family and friends to say goodbye?"

To whomever that hit the poor guy to his death and thinks he can run away with it, I hope you'll get caught soon.  I wish that you know that you had taken away someone's father/brother/son/friend because of your reckless driving.

Update today at 18/06/202 @ 7:53pm
- My friend told me that the victim was fondly known as 'Akai'.  He is usually seen around Likas Sports Complex area and will always helped out in anyway he could if there's any event around there.  He is a little bit 'special' but to those who knew him well...he is truly a special person in their hearts.  RIP Uncle Akai...I hope the person who did this will be punished as what he/she deserved.

In the midst of this coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, we can't always expect all happy things to go on.  God works in ways that we never know.  Fate was written for us since the day we were born.

Somewhere around 11pm+ just now, the Facebook wall were posted with condolences over the recent demise of one of our MPRO (Malaysia Paintball Referee Organisation) member, Mohd Amal.  Though I didn't know him that close, but it still feels sad, as being part of the MPRO family, it feels like losing a family member.

The late Mohd Amal
(Standing - 2nd from right)
May your soul rest in peace, brother.
God has decided your work is done here, and it's time for you to rest.

MPRO is proud to have you.
My deepest condolences to his family.

AngeLBeaR's thoughts:
Life is very unpredictable sometimes. There are moments you feel happy, there are moments you are sad. We might breathe today and won't be living long to see tomorrow. Forgive those who wronged you, ask forgiveness from whom we offended. Appreciate the time we had in our world, live our life to the fullest. Appreciate the ones who love us, love them back and tell them what you want to say, because you never know..they might not be there to listen to your words anymore...
"Move on, he is in a better place now." Those are some of the words that given to me on that day.  13/08/2001. I knew it was words of comfort, to rest assured that my dad, who had been fighting with brain cancer finally lost the battle...and God decided enough is enough.  He took away the pain, and He took him away too.

Today, me and my family moved on with our lives.  But my dad's memory still lingers in my mind.  I remember him as the hands on guy who can fix everything - from broken toys to the kitchen sink.  A good cook, a good singer and guitar player too.  I love to hear stories of him when he went to his hunting trips.  I promised to myself that someday when I grow up, if I ever go outside for trips wherever I went...even to as near as Ranau, I will share with him what I see, feel and think about the place like he did.  That day never came.

When I shoot for my first paintball game years back...when I went for the paintball referee course...when I attended paintball tournaments...when I went for trips by air or by road...and when I return from all these...I do hope I can burst inside the house and said, "Papa! You won't believe what a day/journey it has been!" and show the photos or my bruises (LOL).  Or maybe, he might have a blog of his own, or Facebook where I can tag him lots and lots of photos...

Yes, our lives had moved on.  I had moved on...but my memories of him still lingers.  All I can do now is sometimes, look outside the window of a plane, car, bus, taxi...and look at the sky...whispering, "Papa, I am going for another trip today.  Let's see what this journey will bring..." or in a paintball field, "Papa, wish me luck..." His body is no longer here, but I do believe he is watching over me, somewhere...

If you never lost a close family member, or they didn't mean anything to you...you will never felt their absence and you will never understand how I feel this way.  Am I still grieving, yes.  That's the thing that time alone can't heal.

I miss you, papa.  May your soul rest in peace.
In Loving Memory of my late father, John Michael Sunam 20/10/1956 - 13/08/2001. RIP papa, I miss you.

Where are you this moment?
Only in my dreams.
You're missing, but you're always
A heartbeat from me.
I'm lost now without you,
I don't know where you are.
I keep watching, I keep hoping,
But time keeps us apart

[chorus]
Is there a way I can find you,
Is there a sign I should know,
Is there a road I could follow,
To bring you back home?

Winter lies before me
Now you're so far away
In the darkness of my dreaming
The light of you will stay

If I could be close beside you
If I could be where you are
If I could reach out and touch you
And bring you back home
Is there a way I can find you,
Is there a sign I should know,
Is there a road I could follow,
To bring you back home to me
