I know, I know, I know...that I seriously had almost neglecting my blog.  Sometimes I do feel like wanted to update something but...you know, it's just kind of hard to break this habit.  *sigh*

Well, in case you were wondering what am I up to, all that I can say that I am doing pretty much the same thing I did...paintball trainings...and yes, next month I will be playing for a tournament in Kuching, my first speedball tournament in the country with a team that will made it's debut that day (will announce it as soon as it's making appearance lah *so perasan la AngeLBeaR...* .

Being someone who just picking up playing...after being a referee for years, I know that I had to work extra hard for it.  Ya lah kan...orang stand pun tak betul, how la?

But I do grateful that I still had people around me that never give up to train me, and telling me the things that I need to improve more.  Friends that never stop giving me support.

2 markers that I am currently using to train.
Top one I named it Mr. Mac (belongs to Ari, in which I had it with me for safekeeping for the time being)
bottom is Ms-T (short form for Tsunami, the model name of the marker)

Most of my sifu's (yes, I trained with more than just 1 player) told me that I am improving - which is a good thing, right?  But somehow, I still feel like there is more to achieve, and I am still searching for it.

Anyway, makan-makan is not excluded in my activities.

Sweet and spicy beef tripe from Kah Hiong Ngau Chap restaurant...not for the faint of heart.

A visit to Kah Hiong Ngau Chap Restaurant won't complete with these delicious 'ngau chap' or beef noodle soup. =)

Eating from a chopping board, creative presentation from Ooze Cafe
(somewhat reminded me of Jamie Oliver)

Fish kon lo mee from WanWan Coffee Shop for breakfast...

Fresh Taco Salad from Pancake International House for lunch the other day...

peace waffle for dessert, also from Pancake International House...

Fresh green seaweed to the heart's content from Pak Din Ikan Bakar...

Heavenly ice cream from Veda Blu...(Arry said she'll have me walk home if I just take 1 scoop, no kidding!)

Can never have enough of this famous 'Ikan Terbang' from Koki Bandung...
Sorry Ari, stock sudah habis...hihihihi~

Joanne is keeping us fit fat by bringing more goodies to the field.

My brother is not helping either.

Managed to find time for a short moment of peace...by Tanjung Aru Beach.

How I wish I am armed with my humble cam...but this will do.
Love this shot of the Taiwanese couple.

so yeah...till the next post!
So, I did managed to steal a little time from my work at Sabah Tea Garden (and yet still not telling what I had been doing there...LOL), eating...of course, was never left out from my usual activity...well...sort of.  Apart from the tight schedule and all, I managed to relax a while and yeah...steal some moments to just sit down and relax and enjoy the food...

A nice view to start my morning...before another day of hectic schedule and whatnot begins...

Green....

Well, it's been raining for few days during my stay there...so this caught my eye in the menu and I ordered it without thinking twice:

Sabah Tea Soup.
Broth made of tea and then they also put in some tea leaves in it (see photo) with some chicken, carrots, mushrooms.  It tasted a little bit bland and bitter, maybe because they wanted you to savor the tea flavor but I think this suits very well for those who had a hangover or cold.

So, what I had been doing there, you ask?

Just wait for my next post! =)
Well, if you been following my blog, you'll know that like most of my Borneo peers, that I am one of those Sabahans who are crazy of the Twiggies.

Anyway, it will be a long time before I get another batch of Twiggies to enjoy...so for now, I got its replacement...

Tada!!!!

It's Fudgee Barr cake, product of Philippines, and it's available in most supermarkets here.  So for now, I know I won't be pining for Twiggies that much...my favorite is vanilla...what's your favorite?

Recently yours truly went for dinner at Sailor's Cafe at Grand Millenium plaza.

Well, I actually went to the Plaza mostly for dimsum or buying groceries at CKS Hypermarket and never tried this place before.  So, finally, here I am.

I regretted that I didn't bring my humble cam that day.  Or else can take photo of the environment, well I guess that will do next time.  =/

To cut long story short, here's what we had: (pardon me with the photo quality...am using my phone to snap it)

Kay's carrot juice

It's pretty hot lately so I opted for cold water.
They serve it in this green bottle.  My guess that they re-used the wine bottles,
which is good, rather than throw it away. =)

I don't know what to have so I opt for that day's special.
Salmon steak.
The fish was cooked nicely, suit to my preferences.  It also came with a nice heap of fresh salad
and beneath the fish is a heap of side dish that was made of eggplants mix with other vegetables.  I love it.  I wish I had ordered some garlic bread to eat it with.

Kay ordered lamb chop.
Also tasted good.  She used her garlic bread and scrap my eggplant with it =p
What I like is the generous pieces of well done lamb chops.

I ordered Cajun chicken salad but sadly, I guess the waiter had forgotten so it never came.  =(  But the portion of the food is more than enough.  It's a good thing they forgot about it.  But, instead, I ordered banana split for dessert but after waiting for quite some time, it never arrived.

Only then when we asked for the bill (after called the staff several times), they came and when we look through the bill, the cajun chicken salad was not in the bill (thankfully) but the banana split is!  We told the waitress that the dessert never arrived but she just simply replied to us that 'Oh, it's already been made, and will come soon...'  and giving excuses that there are quite a 'lot' of customers coming in that evening that they are quite busy.  (I am in no mood to argue anyway when I could have asked her to explain that when we first arrived there, that wasn't that many people around and yet her colleague could have missed my chicken salad)

*sigh*  am a little disappointed at this part since she could have given the courtesy to apologize and explain to us, not when we wanted to ask her to omit the item from the list only then she told us ma... geez...

So...the banana split came anyway: (because we are being nice and patient that day, so we stayed on waiting for it to arrive)

Nonetheless, the food is good in terms of taste and pricing is affordable too.  I like the ambiance of the cafe too.  But I do wish the next time I visited again, the service will improve.  *cross fingers*

To know more about this place, kindly visit their Facebook page HERE.
Whenever anyone came back from my home town (Tenom) or I went back visiting my mom, the first thing that came to my mind is this stuffed tofu.  Was told that apart from coffee, the other famous food is the tofu.  It can easily be found anywhere but the ones that I had in Tenom has more meat fillings and the price is cheaper (less than RM1 each).

I did went back recently and savor the taste just like it was when I was a kid.

I saw in a TV show featuring food and it was said that stuffed tofu is a Hakka dish.  Well, it wasn't a surprise since most of the Chinese population in this small town are Hakka.

Anyway, whoever found this dish is not that important...the main thing is...it's good to eat!!! =)
Went to watch Ice Age 4 with Bunny, Koko K and Simon.  Well, actually I had been harassing Bunny about it even before it was released and so...I guess he just go ahead with it to keep me quiet.  Hahahahahahaa.... Anyway, the movie was great and I recommend a must watch especially if you are an Ice Age fan!

After the movie, we decided to go for late dinner (popcorns, coke and potato chips didn't count!) at Kedai Kopi Daily, Foh Sang.  Was still raining when we left Suria Sabah and the thought of hot food is very tempting.

Koko K and Simon arrived a little later than us and presented me this:

A box of Osaka Cake from the nearby Walnut Bakery! =)

Cute isn't?  =)

It's soft, sponge cake with smooth milky cream inside.  I read the box it says 'Consume within 3 days' (means it can't be put too long lah) but Bunny said to me, "3 days?! For you it only take 3 hours!!" =.=|||

Thank you Koko K and Simon!! =)
Bunny went outstation for more than a week in Sandakan.  So...during that time, Koko K bring me out for dinner or yam cha (or both), partly so I can hogged on his Ipad and play my Snoopy game and got someone to occupy my time with.  (Bodyguard mah, hahahahaha~)

Anyway, one of the places that we frequented lately is the recently opened cafe in Lintas named Ooze.  I'll properly blog about that place one of these days ok.  Well, one of the things that I love about the place is it's ambiance, nice jazzy music on the background, warm welcome by the pretty hostess and friendly staff.  Won't tell much first la or else my next post about them will no longer a surprise! =p

Recently, Koko K decided to try their cheesecakes.  Here's what we had tasted (pardon for the photo quality.  Am just using my humble camera phone - will take proper photos next time):

Cheese sponge cake
Tasted light and generous heaps of cheese in it.
The top part is sprinkled with cheddar cheese.

Oreo cheesecake.
Not exactly to my liking, 3 small bites and I let Koko K finished the rest.  I think there's too much cheese in it (kalau sikit pun complain...apa la si bear...)  Well, unless you are a cheese fan, you definitely will love this.

Oh well, nonetheless, we still love it there anyway.  Hopefully there will be more cakes to try next time!

Note: above comment is based on my personal preferences.  It might differ from different people. =p

Been caught fever that fluctuates since Sunday, and then down with flu since this morning. Lack of appetite (yes, yours truly here doesn't want to eat anything because everything tasteless).  Bunny picked me up after he finished work then we went to pharmacy to get some Clarinese for my flu, and Koolfever straps.  Then after series of the usual 'what to eat' 'where to eat' thing...we decided to try on the newly renovated Anjung Senja.

It was already started to drizzle when we arrived, and I have no mood to take photos of the place.  Perhaps next time ya...

Anyway, I used to come here with my friends couple years back when this place is not yet renovated.  There are much more variety of stalls to pick back then, with cheaper price somemore.  We noticed that the price has gone a little expensive since it was already renovated much more nicer and cleaner lah.

Basically, everything will be tasteless so I opt for warm water instead.  Bunny has his usual Kopi-O kaw.

Bunny's nasi lalap.  Few pieces of chicken that tasted rather sweet (Bunny said it ah) but he said  the sambal is good.  Still, we thought nasi lalap supposed to look something else LOL~

My sad plate of Nasi Ayam Penyet.
I thought the sambal will be just like Bunny's but apparently the sambal I got is more like the ones you would like to eat nasi lemak with.  Hardly see the chicken buried underneath the over cooked tempe and long beans.  And the portion is smaller than the usual nasi ayam penyet I had though the price is cheaper (I guess, you got what you paid for, but still...).  No more nasi ayam penyet here next time.  Still I prefer the one in Jesselton Point.

A bowl of chicken soup, that Bunny said it's good for me to have something soupy during flu to keep me warm.  Not bad as it has lots of vegetables in it and chicken bits.  Though everything tasted bland for me, but since Bunny has most of it, I guess it must be okay then.

That's done, Bunny ordered a coconut for me (forgot to take photo), people said it's good for people who has high fever as such as it will flush toxins from your body...that's done, I supposed wanted to go to giant nearby to get some stuff but it was closed early.  Not sure what happened because seems like there are some cops and fire brigades were there, and people evacuated from the building.

Too tired to kepoh, and it's raining anyway, Bunny decided to send me back as he has to meet his friends after that.

Maybe I will return to Anjung Senja again? Not in this near time.
Sometimes, choosing what to eat can be really tough.  Well, kitchen light still not fixed yet (don't ask me why), so me, Aunty Meg and my sister, Kirstin decided to eat out this time.

I suggested to visit Eddie's Corner after so long (couple years back? LOL!!).  Owh boy, time sure has changed - the price of the food slightly a little bit higher than last time, but still affordable and the portion is as good as last time too.

My sister ordered lamb chop.  RM21.  I love this one as it doesn't have that strong lamb smell.

I decided to try their Grilled Chicken.  RM19.
I guess I prefer my chicken a little bit 'darker'...and it has less salt (good if you have problems with high blood I guess) - but that doesn't matter, it came with some mayo to dip your meat.

Can't decided between chicken or lamb?  No worries!
They also had lamb and chicken mix.  Price at RM20 if not mistaken.
Chicken and lamb is cut into nice sizes...so you don't have to worry about bones.

Well, one thing I learned, the portion is too big for us!  If you are a small eater, might as well order just one and shared it...huhuhu...it's a total meat madness for me for one night, because I ended up being forced to finished some of the leftovers that my aunt left!

Now it's time to workout this weekend!!!
Last Saturday, went to meet up with Bunny after he finished work and then meeting Leanna in Centre Point.  Her boyfriend and youngest sister joined us along too so after a little shopping done here and there, she suggested we go to Chilli Vanilla, (a restaurant serving Moroccan food) for dinner.  Oh boy...am I so regret that I didn't bring my humble little camera along with me...cause I can't describe in words how cozy and nice the little place was.  But...perhaps next time ya...

Anyway,  here's what we ordered (terribly sorry for the photo quality =( ):

Grandma's chicken soup.
The bowl is actual big...hehehe...portion is huge, it's just that I got lazy to take it from a better angle since too hungry!  LOL...
Anyway, this is just nice...not too salty, has bits of chicken meat with angel hair pasta, some vegetables...and the soup is very light too.

Salad. It has a name for it, but I can't remember...huhuhu...
Generous heap of greens with green apple slices and chicken, sprinkled with some chopped cranberries and walnuts drizzled with olive oil.  I love this one. =)

Chilli Vanilla Platter.
Nice, soft bread that came with 3 different dips and some meatballs and a portion of salad.
I love the tomato dip...I can just have it by myself!

Well, that's for our starter...hehehe...now came the main course...

Moroccan lamb stew with kuskus...
the lamb is tender and didn't have the unpleasant smell.
Tasted just nice.

Chicken roulade (If the spelling is correct)
Chicken meat rolled with spinach filling, placed on top a generous amount of marshed potatoes and some greens.  I like it!

this is my favorite.
Spicy duck tortilla.  Slices of duck meat wrapped in tortilla that came with the nice tomato dip.

So...that's done...dessert came next!!!

Looks just like any other chocolate cake...but...as good as it's name,
Devil Chocolate cake is up to it's name!
Sinfully good, and you just want more!
I warn you, it's no ordinary chocolate cake.  It feels like you are eating a spoonful of melted chocolate for each bite.  =p

This is the reason why we are here at the first place.
Hungarian 1 metre cake (well, you didn't get to eat the whole metre lah!)
It's vanilla and chocolate sponge cake sandwiched with custard butter cream and top with melted chocolate.
A must have item in this place.  I would kill to get this one again.

Finally...chocolate rum balls.
Two is not enough.  I wish someone can make a dozen and send it to me.

Overall, it's a very pleasant and satisfying dining experience.  Good host, good food, good service, reasonable price and good portion of food...what else you could ask for?

Hence, came this status...

I totally kena chocolate-orgasm. =.=|||
owh well, I wouldn't mind having it once more! =p

So...why not going to Chilli Vanilla for a change?
It's quite dry yesterday.  Perhaps due to the heavy rain at Peninsula?  I don't know.  Anyway, after our dinner at Anak Mami Nasi Kandar Restaurant yesterday, me and Bunny went for a little shopping (me, actually) at Servay in Penampang Baru.  Mainly because....I...need...to...get...myself...some...pimple...cream.  Yes, grew a pimple on my cheek is not funny.  =(

Well, thought we will be home earlier than usual after that shopping trip, but Bunny feels like wanted to have some herbal drink...said that he feels a little dehydrated.  Perhaps due to the humid weather I guess.

So..I suggested we went to Yen Ai at Lintas instead.  For your info, Yen Ai is quite famous for their light snacks, herbal drinks and variety of sweet desserts in reasonable price.

This is not beer aaa...hehehe...
it's sea coconut with longan drink.  This is Bunny's but I had a sip and love it.  Tasted just right.

I love red beans...
Can't resist this red bean ice with coconut milk and evaporated milk.
Yummy!  Hehehe...

Anyway, something new and exciting will be happening soon.  Will let you all know once it really happens ya!
It was a cloudy day yesterday, and it stays that way till night time.  Bunny came and pick me up for dinner (thankfully!) as the kitchen light went kaput since couple days ago, and my aunt still hasn't called up electrician to fix the problem - not sure who she appointed to fix it - so cooking after 6pm and before 6am is a mission impossible.

Anyway, after the usual 'where to eat' 'what to eat' Q & A sessions with me bugging him endlessly with all the list of food that I can think of...I (yes, me!!) decided to pick a place and then we will decide what to eat there.  After so many pros and cons of each place - distance, parking (yes, KK seem to have not enough parking or is KK people is getting richer every single day - cause the number of cars on the road gets more and more, and I am talking about brand new cars!)

So finally, we decided to go to Grace Point.  There are quite a number of food stalls with different type of food - nasi lemak, Indonesian, so called Melaka food (but more like ordinary), Indian, Middle-East, chicken rice...etc.  Anyway, we settled down on these from one of the stalls...

Bunny's curry chicken rice.
He didn't made a squeak or anything.  Tasted okay lah...

Nasi Ikan Goreng Asam
(Fried Asam Fish with rice)
couple pieces of fish rubbed in tamarind juice and deep fried.
So-so lah.

I saw this one particular Indonesian stall with a quite interesting menu...hrm...perhaps I should try that next time.  Which reminds me, I should have gone to Jesselton Point for nasi ayam penyet instead last night...*sigh*
