Now Salem went missing =(

I begin to have this crazy idea that somewhere nearby, there is a cat-eater or someone who enjoys stealing other people's cats or killing them for joy...which I hope not.

Now, Salem was the 4th cat went missing. Been gone for 24 hours now, and it's really out from his normal routine.

Last year we lost Proto (my sister's cat who really had a striking resemblace to my Ollie) and then my Invert due to the flu that took the lives of our beloved cats. Couple months later, our Nanak went missing in action somewhere in August, followed by si Gemuk. Ollie make number 3 in late November, and now, Salem follow suit.

Si Gemuk... used to be queen of the house...I didn't have Nanak's photo in my new hardisk that I am using. The old hardisk was totally lost, unable to retrieve anything...and I lost all the photos of my precious memories with my cats. =(

...and missing not long ago, Ollie. =(

All my cats had collar attached with a bell on it, so I can hear them. Now only left one....and my Ichigo was so restless that it went in and out from the house, as if searching for Salem, and just now I spotted Ichigo sleeping at their favorite spot in the house, next to the stuffed bunny. I am now tempted to put this calico cat into the cage so that no one will take it away.

I still have to fly to KL tomorrow and I am sure that my heart won't be at ease. I wish he will be home. Whoever took him, I wish they got the heart to return my cat.

=(
I'm supposed to be happy. My best friend called me and informed me the good news that she will be getting married in a little more than 2 weeks shy and personally called me to invite me to her wedding ceremony in the church and her reception on 13th February (Chinese New Year Eve).

Being as my best friend, I gladly accepted the good news and congratulated her, also promised that I will be attending the wedding rehearsal as soon as I return from KL next week.

Out of goodwill, I planned to surprise her by asking our close friend (whom had been working in the neighboring country for quite some time now, which we haven't meet for almost 5-6 years) in Facebook if she is planning to come home for Chinese New Year. She told me that she will be home couple of days before Chinese New Year and will spend at least one week holiday with her family before returning to work. So I told her the plan, and invited her to the wedding. The reply I got really hurts. I almost can't believe this is the person whom I consider as one of the few good friends I have, with whom her daughter where me and my bride-to-be friend was the godmother even to seal the friendship.

"I don't think I want to attend her wedding as she didn't invite me. just don't tell her that I'm coming home. anyway...CNY i'm busy also. you know lah... CNY.... just say that I Congratulate her. Thanks."

Now before you guys might think I'm over react, I won't simply feel bad this way...if it wasn't for some reason that she failed to realize herself.

1 - I myself seldom in contact with this friend because I can't reach her handphone and the number was constantly changing without notice. She added me in Facebook by chance and she never replies me and my friend's emails.

2 - The bride doesn't own a Facebook account.

3 - Busy for Chinese New Year? I celebrate Chinese New Year too, but is it hard enough to spare an hour or two just to attend the wedding ceremony? It's only happen once for goodness sake!

Needless to say, I got her point. Clearly. She told me to 'congratulate' the bride but not telling her that she is back in KK. What's the point? We spoke of her often, wondering how is she, recalling the memories we had together. Now she wants me to convey the message to the bride and pretending that she is not home? Sorry, I just can't lie or pretend that I don't know cause I know for sure my best friend would be muttering "It would be nice if she is here." without knowing that the person is actually there and make it a point not to attend the wedding because she 'didn't get invited'. I myself whom constantly in touch with my friend was only been informed today, via the phone, nor that I expect any wedding cards...just her thoughts to me will do more than printed words.

You guys know what, I told her that it is either the bride knew that she would be attending the wedding or just keep silent, pretending that I never told her about the wedding at all.

Call me anything, but for someone who act selfishly to another person whom consider her as a close friend that has a special place in her life - that's so unfair, and that person didn't deserve to be called a friend.
I found this video in YouTube by chance. Heard this song over and over again, but I guess so far, I prefer Hope for Haiti - Justin Timberlake's rendition of 'Halleluyah' (you can also find this song in Shrek OST. This song is originally written by Leonard Cohen). (Please pause my media player at the right first before playing this video, thanks)

I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well, it goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Well, your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Well, baby, I've been here before.
I've seen this room, and I've walked this floor.
I used to live alone before I knew you.
But I've seen your flag on the marble arch,
And love is not a victory march,
It's a cold and it is a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Well, there was a time when you'd let me know
What's really going on below,
But now you never show that to me, do you?
But remember when I moved in you,
And the Holy Ghost was moving too,
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Well, maybe there is a God above,
But all that I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you.
It's not a cry that you hear at night,
And it is not somebody who has seen the light
It's a cold and it is a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Hallelujah...

Okay, my cats seems to be 'obsessed' with the stuffed bunny...I caught Ichigo slept on it... =.=||| my poor bunny.....
Look at his mischievous look.

My brother and his wife adopted a new cat. They name it Mario. Mario enjoys himself running around, flits in and out from the proshop whenever he wanted but always make it to return back at night and have his good night's sleep.

He loves to jump on people's faces or tummy (to whoever sleeps at the couch outside), a very lively cat that brings laughter and smiles to everyone who saw him. Why he was called 'Mario'? Cause he has a little resemblance to the game character, Super Mario...so that name sticks to him since the first day they spotted him on the streets and brings him home.

Hehehehehe....
This year, the family decided "This year must wear red, and we going to have family photos!!" for the coming Chinese New Year which is less than a month away. So, I decided to get myself a pair of Cheong Sam / Chi Pao (correct me if I am wrong), a traditional dress for the Chinese women. After browsing here and there, tried some, frustrated at several pairs, whining at the material, pattern and why certain pieces doesn't have the color that I wanted...I decided to go for this piece.

So....what you guys think? Basically...even if it's doesn't suit me...there is no way I wanted to return it anyway, cause I already love this one! ^^

After days of raining everyday, the weather started to cleared up again today. Even my cats can't go out the past few days, Salem enjoyed his days indoors, sleeping most of the time. This morning, I spotted him sleeping with my stuffed bunny.

Okay kitty, time to wake up and see the sun! ^^

From Facebook, we get the chance to meet up and catching up with friends, family members near and far, and the chance to getting the news of our long lost ex-classmates too. I happen to add an old classmate during my secondary school years...and she told me that she just married last month.

Congratulations to Linah and her husband...may happiness be with you both, forever. ^^
Bad shared to me a very heartbreaking news today via myMetro.com.my .

A man has the nerve to abandon his 57 year old father at the bus stop despite the poor man just having a heart treatment, after his daughter in law refuse to welcome him to their house with lame excuses and then the son drove his father to a school and left him there. The poor man was left wandering around and spent the night at the bus stop near by. The next day, the son returned only to gave him his old bicycle so that he can 'move conveniently'.

Luckily, he met an old acquaintance at the school that invited him to stay at their place and he has been spending few days, out of the compassion from a friend. It was learnt that the father has already been taken by the social service for care.

How ungrateful.

The man who gave all his life to raise a son who turn up to abandon him on the streets 30 years later...where is the moral value, and respect to the parents?

To the man who abandon his father, hope you find it in your heart to ask forgiveness from your father and bring him home, where he should belong with his family.

When it's regarding some sensitive issues, please be sensible and use the God given brain for something more useful than typing something stupid and in the end regard it as for 'entertainment' or a 'joke only' thingy, when people who offended of the statements and start hunting for him.

Please don't show the stupidity for the rest of the world to see, for it will back fire back someday, and even a small rantings in the Internet world is something that one can't under estimate its power...some people might say "the Internet is a world wide web...so many people using it, you can't possibly get detected." Wrong.

Here's one of the example of how insensitive one can be, that make something so sensitive and while the heat is still on within the country, one jerk thought it was funny to put down this statement as a 'joke' and mainly for 'entertainment', as he called it. Sorry to say, I don't think it's funny, at all. As what I had mentioned previously, it gives the innocent others a BAD NAME.

Mr. Tasyrif Tajudin aka Sharul Maizam, I hope you learnt your lesson - being one of the millions Facebook users didn't mean you can simply talk, type anything that you wanted without considering the rest of the other users, or even think you can get away with it or get undetected...and certainly I believe none of your friends in your Facebook list is as dumb as you.

You owe Malaysians a public apology.

I got nothing to do yesterday morning and since my sister trying to shoo me away from the computer the whole day for herself, I decided to follow my friend, Kaynisa to the Sri Pritchard's Old Folks' Home where she volunteered.

Having heard quite lots of stories from people who been there I tried to prepare myself for the scenes that I might been expecting, preparing for the worst, I must say.

Words cannot express how I felt when I saw the fragile little women in the female ward. Some of them can't even walk...and had to be carried...I managed to help out with the small little things like changing the bed sheets and pillow cases, and when one of the staff asked me to help her to carry the little lady on the wheel chair from the bed, my heart sank. Hesitating, afraid that I might hurt her...and when I carried her, it felt like she might break anytime if I had slipped her from my hands. So light...so fragile.

I braved a smile to everyone of them. It wasn't easy to be strong while seeing the heartbreaking reality played in front of you. Most of them, I believe were abandoned by their family members to spend the rest of their days there...and it's sad....

How can some people so heartless...while there are people who are well off, and yet throw their parents like that...after so many years of taking care of them. Didn't they have a place in the house, in the family any longer when they are sick, old and needed extra attention and care?

Just sad...to know that some people who are seemed to be well educated, well off...but in the end, lack of compassion, love and respect to the person who contributed a lot to who and what they are today.
I never been so upset by some acts of the people outside my circle. But this time, I had to say this:

Burning the place of worship of others is not just shown how stupid and shallow minded you are, but shows where your bad roots came from. You are a disgrace and given the innocent people around you a BAD NAME.

You heard me.

A lady has known this man for several years. One day he was sent to outstation to work and little by little, the communications died out and he no longer contacts her. She was still waiting, hoping and until one day, she heard the news that he's already 3 months away from his wedding to someone else.

She had been waiting for 3 years.

3 wasted years...waiting and hoping for a man who hasn't contacted her for that long. True love? Foolish, I might say. Sounds cruel but it's the bitter truth. she confessed that all along there are some good men passed by and she turn them down because of her 'loyalty' to the same man that doesn't care in the world for her, and let go just like that.

No, I am not taking sides here. Both are to blame, if you want me to blame either one. One lady is foolish enough not to realize that when a man stops contacting her for that long, it's time for you to move on. 3 years!!!! Can't she just get the message? This isn't any Mills & Boons or any love-story-worth-the-wait movies. It's about a real life situation, in one real world where reality hurts!

Then there is this one selfish, cowardly man...whom are not man enough to tell her that everything's over. I understand that it might cause some pain to the lady, but doesn't he think that the longer he prolonged the breaking up process, the more agony she has to bear?

So there's this one selfish man and one foolish lady, both live in their own separate ways. One building his happiness for one innocent person that doesn't know the cost of her happiness that was build from another's sorrow; while the other one has to pick up all the pieces one by one.

Life was never fair...if you ask me. One of the saddest thing that ever happened, is loving someone who used to love you. That makes letting go harder.
Should you have info about this girl, please report to the nearest police station.
I hardly mention about my siblings here in my blog. Well...now you readers can see my family, minus my mom..cause she was busy doing something when the photo was taken...and we all escaped far from her at that time =p

So, I spent my first weekend of the year going home to my small, quiet hometown, Tenom. A place famous for it's home grown coffee, the land where the Murut headhunters used to walked on. Being in the city for most of the time, it is a welcome break to the peace and serenity surroundings once in a while.

I love each and everyone of them. There might be squabbles, quarrels or disagreement, misunderstood every once in a while. But that's what makes us a family...end of the day, they were all I had.

Part of the sleepy, quiet Tenom town, with Hotel Perkasa overlooking from the hill...

Landslide at the Hotel Perkasa area..someone should do something about it. =/
