Other than cats, furry-cute things, anything that comes with pink, butterflies, paintball, photography, food, books, music and many other things that you might know about me, I am also fascinated by beads.  I love beads and can't resist from buying them whenever I came across any pieces that I like.

I wish I can learn to make rosary or my own bracelets or necklace from these things but then again, I don't think I had the passion (and patience) to make this on my own (yet).  Every now and then apart from buying it for myself, I always get beaded accessories as gifts.  One of my favorite that I always wore nowadays is this:

This year's birthday gift from SIL. =)

Guess I just can't enough of lots of things. =p
Borneo 3 Men Paintball tournament is coming.  I can't wait for this weekend.

More paints, more shots, more actions.

Yes...I need to remind myself to get something to keep me going for the whole day.

Yup...and if you noticed, I restarted my 30 days blog challenge again to day 1.  Let's hope I can make it to 30 days this time!!!
Huwaaaaa....~~~!!!!!!  I failed at my attempt to complete the 30 days blog challenge at day 21th!!!!  Just merely 9 days to go and I...I.... *speechless*

It wasn't that my days aren't eventful to share with.  But.... (you fill in the blanks).

I am so disappointed at myself.

I had so much to write...about everything exciting that happens lately but...

Well...I know it's just excuses....

And so...no more excuses.  Tomorrow...am going to restart my 30 days blog challenge again...Part II!  I am not going to pick up where I left off!!

I had quite an eventful day today.  Despite that the evening ended my day with strong wind and the heavy rain (and yes, braved through the pouring rain and the strong wind to cross the street at McD's)...not a really good sight in front of the cashier - I still got my Samurai Burger!  For things I am willing to do for love food...hehe...

To be honest, the whole day's activity made me soooooo tired now.  But seems like my mind still active like the Duracell bunny...banging their little drums non-stop and telling me 'Noooo....don't go to sleep yet!' =.=|||

My mind's current status right now...

I am not in the mood to eat either.

oh well...I guess...I'll go sleep....

Sweet dreams everyone~!

So...everytime you read that I am off to this tournament, that tournament (Paintball of course, unless stated otherwise) you might be thinking that I am taking the marker and shooting people all the time.  Not really.  Because here's what I do during tournaments...in case you don't know yet lah...

I'll tell more about it in my next post!  =)
Few days ago, another news burning up the Twitter and Facebook feeds when the Education Ministry came up with the guidelines to identify LGBT (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual, Transgenders).  Among the so called 'guidelines' to identify them are: men wearing V-neck shirts, bright colored clothing and carrying women's bag, and yes, having a muscular body.

I wonder are these guys gay?
Oh, how about guys in sarong? =p

I remember back then during my school times I had few guy friends at school or observed some guys at school who are the 'soft' type.  They love to mingle with girls and girls don't mind to have them in their group.  Try a 'normal' boy...sure kena one lah...back then..no one cares.  School doesn't mind or giving 'counselling' to these kids (non that I heard of back then) because, well...as long as they are academically good - what else is matters.  I had girl friends that loves having short hair, act like a boy, hates wearing anything that looks 'girlie'.  They fought like boys (yep, I punched and slap few boys during my school time too) - but no one makes it into headlines - none that I knew of.

So fast forward to 2012...now that it has started in the school.  Imagine the trauma of certain kids will be...now that with these so called 'guidelines', some kids called for 'counselling' as such to 'fix' them.  Did it came across to these 'smart people's' minds that these kids are now put into unnecessary stress, being taunted at school, an easy target of bullies?

Came in general, every country has these LGBT group.  They were labelled as 'disease'.  Some so called 'religious' crusaders went on about saying that 'it's against God' and started to recite this and that from the Holy Scriptures (I am saying it ALL, not just one particular group).  True, no religion allows it.  Morally, it's wrong.  We knew that.  But...who are we to judge them?  Who are we to discriminate them?

I would say, if we wanted to look at the 'moral' and 'social' issues, we had other problems in hand - racism, corruption, illegal immigrants flooding our country - especially the uncontrolled number of them multiplying in Sabah, baby dumping, baby killings, drugs, teens ran away from home, our kids missing in front of our lawn, ladies became drug mules, scammers online, rapist goes free because they had 'clean record' or 'bright future'..the list goes on and on and on...

But no...some people choose to pick just one category of people to sacrifice.  If you questioning my stand about them - I don't agree on these kind of way of life, but I don't agree that we should cast them aside.  Even some 'smart people' think LGBT should migrate to the West because this is NOT our way of life should be.  Dear sir, just because they don't live they 'way of your life' doesn't mean they had no right to live in this country because this land ain't belong to you alone.

Who are we to judge who is going to go heaven or hell after this?

So...think again, who are we to tell them to leave?

The LGBT's are someone's son, someone's daughter.  Someday, it could be one of your kin.  What did they ever did to disturb your life then?

If they being LGBT is an eyesore to your individual preferences - the problem lies within yourself, your heart that's filled with ego, hatred, prejudice and no difference than a racist.

Hating them won't make them low.  It's the haters did.

And oh...just so to tell...those guidelines are not correct at all.  It takes more than that to identify who is actually LGBT.  Guess some people don't have any fashion sense at all. =p

I remember during my school time, we used to buy these little 'diaries' and asked our school or classmates to fill it in.  I think the diary of mine still kept somewhere at my mom's home - need to start digging up I guess.  Anyway, among of all the entries by my friends, until today I remember this one particular ex-classmate's entry.

Other kids were just filling with their usual babbles but what makes this one so close to my mind till now is that she just wrote 2 words in one page - written neatly with colored pen that says 'Give Thanks'.

Back then, I didn't understand...why those words?  When others wrote 'good luck' or 'may you be successful', she wrote 'Give Thanks'?  Along the years of growing up, leaving teen years, entering adulthood and yeah...getting older now (LOL)...it's been so many years..finally...I understand the true meaning of 'Give Thanks'.  (Lambat pick up kan...)

So...the answer was there all along.

To give thanks from the smallest to the biggest things in our lives...because most of the time, we forgot to say 'thank You' for our happiness, and break down and cry when things didn't go in our favor.  Or sometimes, we put a condition to achieve happiness, 'I will be happy when...' or 'I will be happy if...'

So who is actually to be blamed for when we are not happy?  Not the people or circumstances...but ourselves.  When we dwell too much on the things that hurts us, nor make us sad...we forgot that we had many other things to be thankful for, we overlooked that there are many other reasons to be happy.

For the air that we breathe, for friends that we still have with us, for family members that we still have, for the roof above our head, for still having jobs, for still having healthy body, for the tap water that flows, for the food on the table, for the cat that loves us, for being able to speak, to sing, the sun, the rain...etc.  Gosh, how many of us even remember to say 'thank you' that we are still able to wake up in the morning!!  We are alive, we are given another day to live, to shape our lives and walked in that path.  For every obstacles we went through - circumstances to build the positive self image we had today - did it crossed our minds to say 'thank you'?

Now I understand that being grateful, by giving thanks, we realised that there is more to life than the one particular thing we focused on - and when we are thankful, we are happy - because we are rich than what we thought we are, and we began to appreciate all those we had.

It's not happy people who are thankful, it's the thankful people who are happy.

Give thanks.

To that friend who shared those words with me...I would like to say, 'Thank You.' for sharing it with me.  It's been years but I do hope someday I can meet you and personally convey my thanks.
Well, if you been following my blog, you'll know that like most of my Borneo peers, that I am one of those Sabahans who are crazy of the Twiggies.

Anyway, it will be a long time before I get another batch of Twiggies to enjoy...so for now, I got its replacement...

Tada!!!!

It's Fudgee Barr cake, product of Philippines, and it's available in most supermarkets here.  So for now, I know I won't be pining for Twiggies that much...my favorite is vanilla...what's your favorite?

I brought wine when I was in Labuan the other day and finished it after sharing it with friends (intentionally wanted to 'bring it home, save it for Christmas' kind of thing, but eventually, it's not going to happen!) and well, I kind of like that bottle, so I bring back an empty bottle instead =.=

After thinking sometime what am I going to do with it...I decided to put it to use...I'm going to use it to keep my green tea...hehehehe....

Okay, I will take the label off one of these days...hehehee...

I had another similar bottle of wine where it still contains half of the wine inside...soon am going to have 2 bottles of green tea ready to drink everyday! =)

Wishing all Malaysians Happy Malaysia Day!

My only wish is that everyone in this country will live in harmony, respect each other more and understand each other more.

God Bless Malaysia, and hopefully, towards to a better future for all of us - the True Malaysians.

Imagine if this is happening to you....

Tunggu la kalau mau....sa balik dulu.
Today is another Friday.  Been having writer's block since last night and it is not a good thing...and I have yet post some photos of yesterday's press conference I attended (will write about this one after this, I promise!!!).

I had quite an eventful day in the morning.  Tried to 'unblock' these thoughts for a morning stroll at the Ujana Rimba park, jumping, waving my hands, swaying my hips from side to side in the midst of the senior citizens whom having their morning aerobics in the park every morning.  Too bad I am too late for Taichi, else I would chuck myself in between too.  After that 15 minutes workout, I am good to go for strolling slowly in the park, with headphones and music blasting in my ears, I am in my own world.

What I like about these activities is that, whenever the music starts to fill my ears, I am drifted in my own little world - I can take my own sweet time to think, having some thoughts to myself, doing some self reflection at my own time.

I know things haven't been good to me lately, but that doesn't mean that I don't have some good moments as well.  I learnt sometime ago, that always to seek something to be grateful of, something good that comes with the bad, no matter how terrible the situation was.  As the saying goes, 'there is always a silver lining behind the dark clouds.'

Comparing myself with some people out there, I guess I am still more fortunate.  I haven't lost anything.  At times I do feel that I am in the losing side, where universe is always attempt to get me on the down side of life, but everytime - I am still amazed with myself that I live to this day.  I still wake up and live my day, one day at a time.

This morning, I learnt that I found lots of thing as to compensate the ones that I lost.  I found new friendship lately, I still keep the old ones.  I strengthen the bond with few.  I had fun, I still going places.  Most of all, I learnt and I able to wake up in the morning and be thankful for everything.

With every hug, every simple messages, every caring gestures and kind thoughts without the need to say anything, I do understand.  I am truly blessed.  I feel blessed because I am not alone.  The higher above sent you all for me for a purpose, and maybe...some of you out there has prayed for me.

So, I am returning this kindness to you out there.  My friends whom I met, whom I only interact via the social networks, to the silent readers who faithfully still visiting my blog from time to time...

Be blessed.
This is going to be an angry post.  There could possibly some angry words ahead so be ready for it.

As a Sabahan, I already got used of certain people asking me if we still live on trees, or the 'Welcome to Malaysia!' greet or 'Is this your first time coming to Malaysia?' question after I checked into a hotel with my MYKAD on my hand each time I landed in the West Malaysia from time to time.  I already gotten used of being stared at, being wondered at on how I can speak fluent Malay, converse in English and Chinese with no problem at all.

Well...it's year 2012 and the same thing still happens.
Do I feel offended?  Not at all.  I am just amused.

Then came several months ago where several narrow minded so called 'university students' who lamenting their 'bad luck' after learnt that they will be sent to the local university here in Sabah to pursue their tertiary education as if they are sent to some god forsaken place that no soul is to live there.  *sigh*

That is okay.  I would see it that they are young students after all and yeah, we were told that there isn't much 'exposure' to their youngsters there about Sabah and Sarawak...(I wonder why we knew more about their place more than they knew about us, that still remain an unanswered question to me.).

But...what not okay is...when some people started to mock and degrade MY culture, MY tradition and view MY race as low as he/she see in their eyes.

a snippet from a blog that said 'Tarian Sumazau Untuk Golongan Rendah Akhlak'
(Sumazau dance is just for low morale people)

'Rendah akhlak'?  Hello.....~!!!!!  I don't care if you find it was wrong for you to see any minister dance sumazau, but do you mean that since Sumazau is our traditional dance, then we - the KadazanDusun, Sabahans in general are low morale?

The blog writer also described 'nampak bodoh saja mengepak-ngepak macam burung'
(flapping the hands like the bird hence look like an idiot)
Kalau tidak tau, jangan cakap apa-apa....orang bodoh jak tidak reti seni dan budaya. Bangang!

Do you know that Sumazau is the dance you can find in every Sabahan weddings, events or any celebration regardless of race, religion, skin color?

With the reason that Sumazau is a dance of 'worshiping the spirit of rice' as an excuse, that shows what an IDIOT, MORONIC, IGNORANT you are!  Siapa ajar cakap tarian sumazau ni memuja bambarayon (the rice spirit) ni?  Time sekolah dulu confirm tak kena ajar, tu pasal la biadap, kurang ajar!  Nak minta respect bangsa sendiri, tapi bangsa lain tak nak respect apa kes?!?

Eventually, the above article causing anger to all Sabahans hence that article was deleted - the blog writer gave reason that 'for investigating purpose'.

However, this ignorant f*cker is still insist with his/her stand by writing another new blog post:

'Memang Tarian Sumazau Berbentuk Pemujaan'
(Sumazau Dance is a worship dance)

Seriously, if you have nothing to say, please la don't try to act smart by trying to tell things that is 100% WRONG.  If you are NOT A SABAHAN, you DON'T LIVE WITH US, you HAVE NO IDEA what you been barking in your blog, then stop giving this insulting remarks about us and do something else.

I do hope the authorities will do something about this.  I don't care which side you are from, but anything that is insulting me, my people, my culture, my motherland - you are not welcomed at all!  I wonder if you even deserved to be called a Malaysian because apparently, you are one racist bastard that thinks only for yourself and has no respect towards others.

You guys read this from a very angry Sabahan.

Have a nice day!
Sometimes, sleeping could be a problem.  Just when I thought I had slept the whole night, I'll find myself woke up from time to time and hence causing me having a very tiring, fatigue body to get through the day.  I guess I need to do something for this.

Back then when I was small, to be able to celebrate birthday is a luxury for us, which...I don't recall any so called 'big celebration' that time.  But still, I do recall some childhood memories that still makes me smile whenever someone reminds me of it.

Source from Sabahan Troll Page

Ah...those times whenever the days where 'teda karan' (no electricity) especially at nights.  Once the lights is on again, we would sing 'Happy Birthday' song before blew the candles out (though, it wasn't anyone's candle anyway).  Hahahahaha...!
One of my friends, Roger worked as a graphic designer and since he got a creative brain more than yours truly here, he always comes up with lots of different designs (T-shirt, banners, advertisements) to suit his customer's needs whenever they wanted.

So, out of fun he created this for me...

Was thinking to use this as my logo...(need to ask for his permission also lah).  What do you think?

Note: I had the thought of using pink instead of blue..and the star change into butterfly...(macam-macam la ko ni...!!!)
Results and the word of gratitude from Mr. Andrew Loh, the founder of WPPL.

AngeLBeaR's note:

Thank you to the crew & management of XtremeZone Paintball, Labuan and Labuan paintball referees for willingly to let to be part of the event this year.  I had so much fun, meeting old friends, made new friends, and finally get to meet those whom I only get to know through Facebook all these while.

Job well done to all players, congratulations to the podium finishers and God willing, hope can see you all again in WPPL Labuan 2013!
