Sometimes, we find happiness in the most simplest thing that we can get our hands on.  For instance, I feel happy whenever I can get myself a cup of sundae on a hot day.  So...what about you?  What makes you happy?
Cleffairy sent me an SMS at about 10:48am today, informed that little Faris has passed away couple minutes earlier on.

I feel saddened, really.  Though he nor his family is not related with me in any sort, but I do feel the sadness, grief because I knew how it felt to lose someone dear to you.  Death is definite but...I do wish that if only I can ask something from God, I would ask Him to give more happiness, lessen the sufferings of children around the world.

I wish to convey my deepest condolences to the family of the late Faris Nur Daniel, may his soul rest in peace.

For those who had been labelled me as a scam, or thinking that this family's pledge is a scam, I just want to say just the very thing that came to my mind: I HOPE THAT YOU ARE HAPPY NOW.  SOMEDAY, WHEN THE SAME OR ALMOST SIMILAR THING HITS ON YOU, I HOPE YOU WILL REMEMBER THE VERY SAME MOMENT, THE VERY SAME HEARTLESS WORDS FILL WITH PREJUDICE AND HATE YOU GIVEN, BECAUSE THAT WILL BE THE SAME, EXACT LINES COMING BACK TO YOU, THE SAME LOOK THAT OTHERS WILL GIVE TO YOU.

Put yourself in their shoes for a minute to feel, see how they been gone through 23 days that seems like a lifetime only to come to this date that will haunt them for the rest of their lives.  That person who keeps vigil, hoping and praying for miracle could be YOU.  The person that lay sick on the bed could be YOUR close kin, YOUR love ones.
Okay, this is a harsh title.  So brace yourself for the possibilities of more harsh words coming up as you read.  As you knew and you been following my blog as long as you remember, you knew that I take no BS for things regarding safety issues in paintball sport.  If you just happened to follow and didn't knew me in real life, yes, I have zero tolerance about these kind of things, those who been in the field with me, they saw, heard me dealing with people who did not take safety issues seriously.

So...what's with the topic today, AngeLBeaR? You may ask.

Shooting WITHOUT face mask!

As I had been repeating it again and again....and again....and again...and....AGAIN for the 100th time, whenever you took off the barrel socks/cover, put on the face mask - that is including the shooting range or the playing arena, even at the chrono station.

I don't know if he stupid or pretending to be one...but when concerned players started to state obviously 'MASK ON', this dude promoting pulak.... =.=|||
For your info, dude...those are called 'pellets' not 'bullets'...get that fact right.  It's MARKER...not MAKER...ada beza tu dik...

...and when concerned paintballers advised him of the unsafe part...he INSIST it was SAFE, NOT!.
Again, he said it's just for target shooting - controlled by the marshals.
Waaa....you guys are trained to catch the pellets that flies at 300 feet per second with your bare hands is it?
DO WE LOOK STUPID TO YOU?

that fella still didn't see why it was wrong.
Oi...how many times we have to repeat la... =.=|||
What's the difference when you shoot inside or outside the field?  The thing is, the finger is PULLING THE TRIGGER and you let them playing WITHOUT the face mask!

Waaa...REMBO ah....so 'terrer' la now...only 'orang berani' (those who have guts)
can go and play?  Siapa lah owner padang REMBO ni...mamat ni ada belajar basic safety ke tak ni?

So...few words from me...

To the kid who works for this field:

- Dik...selidik bebaik dulu sebelum nak tunjuk gaya bodoh sombong tu ye...the people who commented and giving advice for you has long been in the industry when you are still learning to know the world.  Dorang bukan baru semalam pegang marker, rasa pellet...ko tu baru nak belajar, so belajar bila kena ajar, jangan tunjuk gaya kurang ajar!  Bila dah kena bagi nasihat tu, belajar-belajar la ucap terima kasih...bukan nak menegakkan benang yang basah...makin nampak kebodohan tu tau...

- benda bulat-bulat tu...bukan 'bullet' ye....itu 'PELLET'.  Basic tu dik...

- Selagi barrel socks kena bukak tak kisah la target shooting ke, main kat dalam padang ke, wajib pakai face mask...bila kat luar (tak menembak) pakai barrel socks...

That's my free advice for you, kid.  Free of charge.

Also to the owner of this field...

- Please sack this kid if he is not following the safety procedures if you had briefed him earlier (if any of my boys answered like the above, I would have sacked them without thinking twice).  Really, we don't need these kind of arrogant people in the industry.  They can go play kite and leave all of us paintballers, operators in peace.

What irritates me actually is not just when people failed to implement the safety rules in their respective places because any incident happened will affect us all; but the arrogant people who thought they knew everything when in fact, they had zero knowledge and yet trying to make others look stupid.

Being arrogant doesn't make you look any wiser, kid.  That's how some people look at you now.

Update at 23/02/2012 @ 3:49pm

As usual, some people are just too arrogant that they still stand on their ground over something that is already wrong...

Dude...you really don't know to whom you are speaking to, being rude and disrespectful to.  I do personally hope any of these guys will look for you and give you an earful.

Another one...please don't use the word 'marshals' to label yourself.  It's sound so distasteful and disgusting, and degrading the marshals out there, including me.  We are not in the same level as low and as stupid as you.
Recently, Cleffairy shared me a link to her post to help this poor child in monetary donations, and most importantly, blood type O needed for him, urgently.  As I am typing this, the poor child is fighting for his life (he is only 6 years old) and I can imagine the pain he went through because of his illness, and the family that is keeping virgil beside him, wishing and hoping that once bubbly little child will get well soon.  (Story about him is here and here).

As I am in Sabah, and was across the South China Sea away, I did what I think it's right and all I could by sharing it with my friends and posted in walls of the groups I am in, hoping and wishing that even if I can get 1 person out of 100 out there who read and reach out to do something, anything - even giving a drop of blood to this poor child...I am more than happy.  I knew I had done my part to help in the way I knew best.

Sad to say, there are some people are being skeptical, cynical about this.  And it really hurts me.  Look, it doesn't matter if you don't wish to help.  It's okay if you decide not to help even by spreading the news (which cost nothing to you anyway).  It's fine with me.  But it's NOT OKAY when you started to question it as if I am a scam, especially YOU DON'T KNOW WHO I REALLY AM.  So for those who has doubts and if you think you can scare me by wanted to 'go investigate' to find the 'truth'...go ahead, make my day.  But I do wanted to tell you this - I hope what you find makes you happy.  Happy to see how that child suffers, how his family suffers.  Hope that makes your day, NOT!

So...okay if you read in the link I given is that monetary donation is also appreciated that you think it might be a scam.  But WHO WANT TO SCAM YOUR BLOOD????  To those who wanted to 'investigate' this you may check with anyone you knew at Subang Jaya Medical Centre.

Remember, there is a father desperately waiting, hoping for his son to get better.  A mother who non stop praying, hoping for a miracle.  That could be you.  The boy could be your son, brother, nephew.

Isn't it just sad when some people think 'if I give this money...where does it go?' or 'I don't think they will use it for that purpose lah...must be got other motives one.'  look...if you wish to put a coin or two in the donation box - drop it and let it off from your mind.  If you don't wish to do so, just politely go and let it off from your mind.  DO YOU HAVE TO JUDGE?

I am not going to say much more further as Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lent season, which also means I do need to self reflect on myself, one of it is my excessive use of 'colorful words' lately.  But I hope if any of you reading this, do question yourself - whenever you giving alms, help to those in need, do you actually giving it or asking it in return? (Matthew 6:4-18 - Jesus is emphasizing the need for sincerity in the good things we supposed to do to others.  Or is it just for show?)

So...before dropping the coin into the box do think again - if you wanted to give it half heartedly, might as well keep it to yourself.  I might not a devoted Christian to teach you what is right or wrong in our beliefs - but as a human with compassionate heart towards those in need, I do believe in sincerity when giving to others - give and let it off from your mind.  No questions asked, just give it and let it comes from your heart.

Have a blessed Ash Wednesday and Blessed Lent to all.
Yesterday (again, 'yesterday' *rolls eyes*), Bunny showed up in front of my house by surprise.  I didn't expect to see him after his working hours since we didn't make any plans but he did. =p

So...we went to have dinner at Golden Valley Restaurant near my house.  Dinner is so-so.  Perhaps they changed cook I think.

After dinner, told him that I feel like wanted to have sundae...so off we went to Mc Donald's at KKIA, as I knew that the ones at Api-Api centre will always be crowded with people.  At first, my mind already drooled at the images of Cornetto Sundae...until I saw something else..and changed my mind...

Tada~~!!!
Mango Peach Sundae!  =p
Not both are mine ok...one is for me...the other is Bunny's.

Tempted to get a Cornetto Sundae after finishing this one...but I changed my mind.  Wonder what's next...

Recently, there's this news been circulated around the Facebook especially among the Sabahans when an guy, believed to be an Arab nationality who stayed in a bed & breakfast lodge attacked 2 women, of which one is a girlfriend of a Canadian, who happens to be staying in the same lodge and the other, is the receptionist.

According to the news source, a Canadian tourist kissed his girlfriend and this make the fella above got angry and started to hurdled bad words to the other guy and his girl, claiming that Malaysia is a Muslim country and such act is forbidden, bla bla bla....and when the Canadian tried to calm him down, this made him more angrier.  The receptionist, tried to calm him down and resulted that she was attacked as well.  Then after that, the Arab guy stormed out from the lodge without paying and disappeared. (Full story here).

It is also reported that on the same day, a tourist of the same nationality was said slapped a staff in Parkson at Wawasan Plaza hours before the incident in B & B.  I wonder if this is the same guy?

So..my personal opinion...

1 - this guy obviously has no respect towards others.  Hey, it's just a kiss on the cheek and why it bothers you?  What makes you think you can simply scold people like that just because you got a big bulky body like a gorilla and sound like one?

2 - Degrading and hitting women.  Hurdling insults and attacking women is all you can do dude?  Owh wow!  How MANLY!  So much with the 'holier-than-thou' attitude at the first place!

3 - Leaving without paying, cheapskate!  Oi, next time before you leave, pay first lah!

Lunatic.  I don't care where you are from buddy.  But remember this, YOU ARE THE FOREIGNER HERE, YOU SUPPOSED TO RESPECT OTHERS.  THIS IS OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, NOT YOURS!

Owh well...another 'yesterday' post again.  It's just that I came home quite late last night so by the time I reached home, will be too tired to blog or do anything...and after the remaining energy I had left spent on talking briefly to Bunny on the phone, off I went to the dreamland....Zzzzzzzzz~~~

Anyway, it's another Sunday spent with Bunny.  I woke up quite early yesterday and checked on my Facebook when Esken suggested to meet up for breakfast in Kedai Kopi Wan Wan, Bundusan.  Called Bunny to wake him up...and by 10am, we already arrived...

and...for your info, this shop sells no meat except fish and seafood...mainly soup stuff.  So if you have a hangover or something, this is just the right place to go.  But mind you, this place is always crowded especially in the morning!

Mine.  Fish slice mee hoon soup.

Bunny had kon lo mee with fish slice soup (original).  You can also opt for hot and sour soup like Esken did (he already emptied his bowl before I took any photo...uhuhuhu)...and owh, the only meat you can find is the mince chicken on top of the noodles.

So...AngeLBeaR's energy bar was filled, and we're off to KK Paintball Centre for a while to make sure things went well first before head of to our next destination.  Meanwhile, Leanna dropped by and gave me this:

key chain from Russia! =)

Then, after get my things done in KK Paintball Centre...get changed and then me and Bunny went to attend his friend's baby's fullmoon thanksgiving lunch in Kampung Kandazon, Penampang.  Sorry, no photos but I'd say, the food is great, and I can't stop thinking how lucky his friend. that can still live in the village area, the sound of cicadas among the trees and greens everywhere.  Made me miss the family house in Beaufort...huhuhu...

After that, we went to Karamunsing, got me one the CD games...and Bunny can't help but said it never came into his mind that I can be a game freak (LOL!)...thankfully he hasn't seen me during the time I am still crazy over online games...(seriously, used to play Tales of Pirates before and there is this time where I didn't sleep for 24 hours just to level up my character!)

Perhaps the exercise around Karamunsing Complex made us hungry...this time, we stepped in Pancake House.  This is Bunny's first time coming here..and my second...so he made me do the order...jeng jeng jeng~

Bunny loves hazelnut...so...this hazelnut latte is definitely his lah...I ordered cold water for myself...

Love the taco salad here...very generous portion, ingredients are fresh too!
(it has taco chips, greens, chicken, cheese, kidney beans, tomatoes)

....drizzle it with this nice dressing...it's sweet and tangy a bit...
result: heavenly!

Peach waffle.
Tempted to get a second one but...maybe next time.

...and for Bunny...the 'Southern Style' set.
waffle with butter on top (yes, it's butter) with chicken coated in sweet and sour sauce with Caesar salad.
Looks like a weird combination? Not till you tasted it.  That waffle tasted a little bit different than the ones I had (peach waffle) - tasted good with the chicken!

After meal, we didn't know where else to go, in the end...again to Tanjung Aru.  Spent good 2 hours there together, and it's very windy!  Mosquitos by the beach chased us away...so we head to Restoran Salim in Lintas for teh tarik before going home...

hehehehe...

Feeling hungry (again?!?!?!)
so I ordered this bowl of supposedly soto ayam...
it's the first time I saw this filled with lots of vegetables (greens, cabbages, cucumbers) but not many chicken bits in it...uhuhuhu....tasted so-so...but I finished it... =.=
Bunny ordered roti telur but I forgot to take photo...too hungry...and he been complaining that he has been eating a lot everytime he's with me...hehehehehee~

After the food...and the excitement for the whole day...eyes gets heavier and it's time to go home.  Thank you for the day spent with me, Bunny.  =) *hugs*
Was not feeling well yesterday, my tummy feels so uneasy.  Looks like I had gastric attack after so long since the last.  Can't blame anyone but myself....because the night before that me and Bunny went to BB Cafe at Tanjung Aru, and invited some mutual friends to join us (well you see, it was so that our mutual friends won't feel that we set them aside now that we're together) but only Esken showed up, the rest of the guys are scattered somewhere.

Before that, we went to visit my brother who is admitted into the hospital for his pancreatic attack (why la so many sick people in my family!!!).  No worries, this is his normal routine for not taking care of his diet, even the hospital staff also knew him so well. He'll be out within couple of days.

And after make sure that my brother taken his dinner and the security guard won't allow us to stay there longer, we went to KK and had dinner...with the usual 5-6 minutes back and forth questions:
"Where to eat ah?"
"I don't know, what do you want to eat?"
"I also don't know lah.  What do you feel like eating?"
"I can eat anything, you make decision lah."
"I also don't know bah...you choose lah."

So this time Bunny let me decide...and the bear said she wants to eat fish.  Then off we went to the food stalls at Segama area to hunt for food...

Pan-grilled fish topped with sambal.  RM13.  Tasted okay but the skin is a little bit tough though.
Wonder if the fish is not suited for this (AngeLBeaR hentam only since she is peeking at other's table!) but the flesh is nice and fresh too.

Squid cooked with honey.  This time it's a little bit watery than the last time I went.
But nonetheless I still love it.  RM10.
Cleffairy, please make sure you are full before reading this...she's gonna kill me.

Total for our food bill: RM27 including rice and drinks. =p

So, dinner's done....and where were we?  Owh yes...inviting friends to join us for a drink part.

Those guys had beer...and I had tried to clear myself from having those so many years ago (also because the gastric problem lah!) and whenever I go out, I would opt for cocktails instead and I love to sample different bar's cocktails so I knew where to go back when I need that little shot of booze hahahahaha...But I guess, I had a little too much this time...(again, pardon me with the photo quality...ever since I got my humble Android phone for Christmas gift from my brother Zach, I just seem to get lazy bringing my little cam nowadays...bad habit!)

First Round...Mai Tai

2nd round...Pina Colada.

...and in between, while listening to the live band (which ruined almost 90% of the songs from its original)
Esken wanted to have something to munch on and here comes the fries and onion rings...(supper?)

3rd round - Singapore Sling.  (Yes, originally came from Singapore)
(by this time, I don't know the guys had how many already...but Esken did much of the drinking.  Bunny tricked himself to slow down since he is driving and he has to send AngeLBeaR home!)
I love this one...because finally, at least it has a decent taste unlike in all places I had been, it tasted like drinking an expensive grenadine and sugar water.

Don't ask what time we went home...but it was fun to able spend time even with a single friend, and perhaps we should arrange to spend more time doing fun activities with our mutual friends apart from paintballing.  Yeah, I guess we should.

Now...of all the combination above, no wonder I got my gastric attack, and it happened immediately when we just left Tanjung Aru for home...had to stop by 7-11 to get something to ease down the pain...

I feel much better now, after sleeping and eating like a bird...small portions but can't get empty stomach for long.  Just had to stay away from oily, spicy food for now.

Bunny, I'm sorry for making you worried about me ya...I promise I will be more careful next time...*hugs*

Lately I seem to have cravings for toasted bread with jam and also a mug or two of tea...don't ask me why...and no, yours truly here doesn't need any pregnancy test to find that reason.  She is perfectly still unmarried and no reason to get your mind there, for now.

So...after toasted bread and jam...what's next?
Okay, I seldom do online shopping...but this time...I really can't resist it.  After so much browsing through here and there in A Fashion Story....I finally settled down to 2 items that caught my eye (for now, because if I borong the whole website I'm gonna open my own shop already!)

I really didn't expect it will arrive so fast (thought might take 4 days at least but it arrived within 3 days!) and wrapped carefully some more...anyway...here's what I got...

Tadaaaaaa~~!!!
2 butterfly necklaces!  (As most of you already know, I am a HUGE fan of butterfly accessories)
Hrm...which one that I want to wear first?

So if you wanted to look for affordable, beautiful accessories and fast delivery service, check it out at their page here.  Some of the items are sold out and they are having sales from time to time...so do check it out..perfect place to purchase those beautiful trinkets as gifts for yourself, friends, family or loved ones!
One of the thing that I rarely do in KK is visiting the bookstore.  I love books a lot...but then again...I don't know where to get cheap books.  (Yes, I am 'el-cheapo'...there I confessed huhuhuhuhu~)

Visiting to any of the book stores really breaks my heart...because I know there are so many books I wanted to own and read but the price...bikin banyak sakit hati....when the goverment gave out RM200 book vouchers to the uni students I totally envy them...how lucky they are!

Thankfully, last week Leanna dropped by and said she gonna buy me some books and off course I agreed! Hahahaha...so, we went to Popular Bookstore in at Palm Square (in Center Point)...and the hunting begins...

After so many round checks...owh, by the way I got that dress for RM20 only at 1Borneo hehehee...
and a new blue bag for RM18...the scarf is brought during my Brunei trip last year (10BND = 4 pcs)...
Don't ask what's in the plastic bag...hahahahahahahahaa~ and if you notice the blue earrings that Leanna wore is a gift from me...I got it for RM5 from Pacific Ngiu Kee...

Okay...after so much thoughts, took a book and putting the other down and repeat the exercise few more times and consider the 'priority' whatever you called it...

Tadaaaaa!!!
I settle down for these 2 books.  My happy face...hehehehehe...

Thank you Leanna for the books!!! <3
Everyone been asking where I celebrated Valentine's Day.  They won't believe it when I said that there is no celebration at all.  Not that I am anti-Valentine or something like that.  It's just that I never celebrated one and see that it's just another day...except with the unusual crowd in beaches with couples everywhere - their names written on the sand (yes, lots of them), the price of flowers especially roses are unusually expensive, so does restaurants and hotels offering packages for 2... jewelry and gift stores too.

So where I went last night?  Bunny picked me up around 8:30pm and said that he haven't taken his dinner yet.  After few minutes of exchanging questions 'where to eat?' 'what to eat?' we decided that since it's Valentine's Day...some of the places will be full...(my sister came home early from her date and said that the place she went is full that they had to queue and then can't stay long there as there are many other customers waiting for their turns to sit).  So we agreed to Nasi Kandar Anak Mami restaurant in Bundusan (yes, I am not kidding you).

I already had dinner at home so he ordered only one set of tandoori chicken with naan (cheese filling) for us to share.  The portion is just nice for both of us..or maybe because I am not really that hungry.
Not bad, I love the chicken...except that Bunny is so particular with his curry, he said it's not thick enough...well what do you expect la coming at nearly 9pm...almost all of their curry (beef, mutton, chicken, fish) already finished lor...

So..okay...we tried to avoid the crowd but Bunny said he got a little dehydrated perhaps due to the heat working at the site the whole day...we off to Tanjung Aru beach to get some coconut...

Sorry...photo quality not good...hahahahahaha
Anyway, this is Bunny's coconut. I already finished mine in merely minutes (I wonder who is actually dehydrated) then poke my straw into his share while waiting for him to come back with my coconut, halved...

Finished! Hahahaha...

Well...after finishing the coconuts we went for a little stroll by the beach, amidst of the young teens with their group dates, reading the names written on the sand...looking at couples passed by...and already a little pass midnight when he sent me home.

It's just another day, and the same routine that me and Bunny been doing almost all the time, not much difference at all.  But it's nice to feel that love is really in the air...people that came with friends, family, loved ones...

Hope yours is a good one.

Love definitely floats in the air again, or so...as most people thought.

As for me, Valentine's Day is just another day, perhaps a little bit commercialized but then again, with all the beautiful love notes posted here and there, those cute little gifts displayed in the gift shops and admiring some Valentine Day cards, I can't help but feeling the love too. =)

So...what does Valentine's Day meant to you?  Now, I am not going to rant about the 'issues' that goes on about this particular day, especially in this country we lived in, nor wanted to join the crusade against this day...to fight what is wrong and what is right, because I truly understand that some people can be down right ignorant that they will come out with all sorts of 'facts' from the fictions that I myself never heard of.

For that someone special...

Dear Bunny, Thank you for loving me, for making me feel special in every little ways that you do.  I know that you won't be catching grenades or jump into the atlantic ocean for me like you said earlier, but I knew that whenever I am with you, there is nothing else that I can fear of.  Thank you for accepting me as who I am - even with bruises, mud and sweat and all, and you still insist that I am beautiful.

God willing, I hope that my wait is over.

Love,
AngeLBeaR.

Happy Valentine's Day to all, keep showing the love everyday ya....

Stop being ungrateful.
No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life.  Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.  Instead of thinking about what you’re missing, try thinking about what you have that everyone else is missing.
Sorry I haven't been updating so long...it's just that I had been..ehem...occupied for quite sometime...hehehe...won't be telling about it here lah.  But if you knew me personally, then you'll know the reason why *winks*

Well actually there are quite few interesting stuff I would like to share here...for what I had done during my absence from the blog since the last post...let the photos do all the talking ya...

Sabah Paintball League 2012 (Round 1)...

and...the following weekend after is mini Nexus Wargame at Karambunai Lagoon Park, where I camped for 3 days and 2 nights there for a closed event.  Thus explaining the reason why I went hiatus from the internet for few days...

Off course...makan-makan in between....

and finally, yesterday....chilling at Jesselton Point and watch the sunset on Chap Goh Mei....and I am not alone *winks*

Anyway, hope everyone's doing great out there.  =)
