If you wondering what you missed last weekend, here's some photos by Timothy Boyou and Louis Tokuzip:

Thank you for the nice shots guys!

The tournament just ended last weekend.  Despite with the very hot and sunny weather that really makes the air feel dry, I would rather it be sunny and hot all day than raining.  Reason is that if it's raining, we will be having difficulties running the tournament smoothly with game stoppages if needed to, visibility, and not to mention all the dirt and mud to clean afterwards.

Anyway, here's the result for this time around:

CHAMPION
Team Hoodlums

1ST RUNNER UP
Tribe-X

2ND RUNNER UP
Tribe-X II

3RD RUNNER UP
Mighty Owlz

Overall, most teams are showing improvement compared with the previous tournaments, thus giving a quite strong competition to some of the favorite teams, especially from the Top 16 rounds to proceed to Top 8, where all players worked very hard to get as far as they could to the game.  There are few minor glitches, but it was resolved on the spot. We are also glad to learnt that there are paintballers who volunteered to coach for other teams who didn't have any extra players to utilize their handicap privilege.  You've shown a very good example to the rest, to help the newbies or other teams, for the love of the sport.  We will be very honored to have you participate in all our coming events in future.  =)

On behalf of the Sabah Paintball League Committee members - Secretariat, referees and crews; I wish to thank everyone for supporting the event, photographers - Timothy & Louis, RELA, sponsors and everyone who came and support your local paintball team!  If there is any lacking from us during the tournament, we do humbly apologize.  We hope there will be more team registering for the coming event in October for the final round of Sabah Paintball League.

Yesterday, I went to visit Kg. Penimbawan, Tuaran for our upcoming work project.  I heard about this place from my brother before, but never exactly been there myself.  This time, I took the opportunity to visit the place myself, well not alone off course.  I went there with 3 of my crew.

Anyway, we left KK at about 6:45am, arrived in Tuaran town about 8am.  After asking some locals the directions to the place, we drove thru some villages, and found ourselves lost at least 3 times before reaching to the jetty going to the place.  Owh, I forgot to mention that we had to take a boat going to the said village.

The jetty at Kg. Sulaman.  The boats here will take you to Penimbawan.

Look at those boats....that's the boats that the people here use to go to and fro from Penimbawan to the land.

And I thought this is the boat that will take us...*sigh* it's actually a fishing boat.  Was told the people stayed in it were Vietnamese.  Don't know lah...

The 3 stooges with their crazy antiques - Neko, Zach & Dealvin

Yours truly. ^_^V (didn't know what to expect, still)

Okay, so I thought the big boat is the ones that gonna take us....in which it's not.  The ever-ready boatmen already got down to his boat, and yes, at the same time there's few villagers wanted to get it too.  How I wish I was the last one to get on the boat.  They just placed a line of bamboos as a floor for you to sit on, and the boat wobbled whenever someone stepped in or moved about...as if it's going to over turn...and the eerie feeling when you look at the greenish water that didn't seem to have a bottom...it's not funny or pleasant when you can't swim, like me. =.=|||

Anyway, we got on the boat safe and sound (scared actually!)...and set in our places (yes, I am not moving my butt from the place, let alone to move a little).  Off we go.

I managed to turned around and snap this photo with my little cam.  The lady in the blue tudung laughed at me when she saw how scared I am. =.=|||

To be continued...

When the good Lord was creating Fathers he started with a tall frame. And a female angel nearby said, "What kind of Father is that? If you're going to make children so close to the ground, why have you put fathers up so high? He won't be able to shoot marbles without kneeling, tuck a child in bed without bending, or even kiss a child without a lot of stooping."
And God smiled and said, "Yes, but if I make him child size, who would children have to look up to?"
And when God made a Father's hands, they were large and sinewy.  And the angel shook her head sadly and said, "Do you know what you're doing?   Large hands are clumsy. They can't manage diaper pins, small buttons, rubber bands on pony tails or even remove splinters caused by baseball bats."
And God smiled and said, "I know, but they're large enough to hold everything a small boy empties from his pockets at the end of a day...yet small enough to cup a child's face in his hands."
And then God moulded long, slim legs and broad shoulders.  And the angel nearly had a heart attack. "Boy, this is the end of the week, all right," she clucked. "Do you realize you just made a Father without a lap? How is he going to pull a child close to him without the kid falling between his legs?"
And God smiled and said, "A mother needs a lap. A father needs strong     shoulders to pull a sled, balance a boy on a bicycle, and hold a sleepy head on the way home from the circus."
God was in the middle of creating two of the largest feet anyone had every seen when the angel could contain herself no longer.  "That's not fair. Do you honestly think those large boats are going to dig out of bed early in the morning when the baby cries?  Or walk through a small birthday party without crushing at least three of the guests?"
And God smiled and said, "They'll work. You'll see. They'll support a small child who wants to ride a horse to Banbury Cross, or scare off mice at the summer cabin, or display shoes that will be a challenge to fill."
God worked throughout the night, giving the Father few words, but a firm authoritative voice; eyes that saw everything, but remained calm and tolerant.  Finally, almost as an afterthought, he added tears. Then he turned to the angel and said, "Now, are you satisfied that he can love as much as a Mother?"
The angel shutteth up.
"Children's children are the crown of old men, and the glory of children is their father." (Proverbs 17:7).

Happy Father's Day to all doting dads out there.  God Bless.
I miss you dad.  =(
The other day, me and Kaynisa went to Nasi Ayam CP for dinner at Centre Point, KK.

What about this place, if you ask me?

1 - They had only have limited selections of food on the menu - Nasi Ayam (chicken rice), Kon Lo Mee (almost similar to what the West Malaysians called as 'wan tan noodle') and Ngau Chap (beef noodle soup)

2 - They had quite a lot range of beverages though (but no hot ones) from soft drinks to ABC.
3 - The chicken rice priced at RM2.80 since they opened someone in late 1990's (or is it early 2000)

When I was still a student back then...this is the place that I used to visit quite often with my friends.  On lunch time the place (which is still located in the old food court, now renovated into shop lots already) will be crowded with so many people.

Anyway, here's what I ordered:

The chicken...owh...don't bother to ask if you want it steamed.  They don't have it.

The rice.  No, it's not glutinous rice.  I think it's too soggy for me. (don't complain la..sudah murah bising lagi si beruang ni..hehehe)

A glass of 100 Plus with Chicken Rice and a bowl of soup...RM4.70...

Owh well, now that with all the 'minyak naik, barang naik' (fuel increased, price of goods increased) issue, this shop will always have their own patrons.

During times like this, it's either you eat or go hungry.  You choose.
