My Daily Tweets

Been slacking in my blog lately.  I don't know why...so many times that I wanted to type something and in the end, I stared blankly at the screen for couple of minutes or so...then close the window.  More active in Facebook and Twitter, very seldom appeared online in chats as well.  (Getting old? LOL)

Anyway, during the previous Harvest Festival holidays (yes, a MONTH ago), Bunny and I went to Labuan with a bunch of our friends, spent a night at Papaya's Lodge, owned by Bunny's friend.

This place is still new.

Yours truly, as usual...

We were told that every room has different theme.  Mine & Bunny's is 'Rockstar' =)
The wallpapers has images of anything that relates with rockstars.  Owh, every room is equipped with fan, air-condition, clean bathroom.  They even got hot water.

Wonder what is so funny... =p

No visit to Labuan will be complete without any of these....

Stalking a local fishing....

The rest playing beach volleyball.

...or is it playing in the sand?

Goofing around~ =p

Simon choose to become the referee.

Yours truly went looking for seashells =)

Can't get away from the iPad =p

Guys having fun in the sea~

Their crazy antiques =p

Sweet! =)

The lodge's staff preparing our dinner...we requested for BBQ. =)

One of the guests there serenade us with his sax.

Our dinner =)

a bunch of hungry people~ hahahahahaa...

We spent the rest of the night sitting by the beach, circling the fire, have some drink and talked.  It is very quiet and peaceful there.  Apart from the sand flies (should have bring insect repellent), I love that place.  Will definitely going back there again someday.

I was happily digging into dinner with Bunny and few of our paintball friends last night at Chanyai Villa when "BANG!" the loud sound came from the dark road which is facing the coffee shop where we are having our food.  I thought it was some car rammed on the tree or divider, or a bike or something.  It took us few seconds of silence, looking at the road, trying to find the driver or anything that caused the loud bang when one of my friend said, "Eh, orang kena langgar!!!" (Eh, someone got hit by a car!!).

Without delay, Bunny with 2 of our friends rushed to the road.  One of them is already trying to control the traffic as cars started to move slowly (as you know, some busybodies drove slow, wanted to see what's going on).  I took my mobile phone and dialed 112 (yes, it is for the mobile phone users in which it will still connects you to the nearest emergency numbers other than 999.)

Anyway, the kepoh-crowd is growing, me and my other friends watched from a distance. My call was transfered to the nearest hospital and I explained the situation as such...and hope for the best to the victim.  Bunny and the other guys returned after the patrol police arrive and took over.  There's another man talking to the policeman and according to the guys, he is one of the witness when it happened.  The car plate number was fallen off.

Ambulance arrived, but we saw the man (believing to be a chinese, around his 50's) had already been covered in newspaper.  He was killed in this hit and run incident.

The cheerful mood turn into solemn a bit for us.  We finished our food and decided to head somewhere for coffee.  As Bunny drove his car, we headed towards Kopi Ping, one of our joints where we normally had our soda lime and coffee, I sat in silence and had lots of things in my mind.

"Isn't it sad for someone to go like that...without any family and friends to say goodbye?"

To whomever that hit the poor guy to his death and thinks he can run away with it, I hope you'll get caught soon.  I wish that you know that you had taken away someone's father/brother/son/friend because of your reckless driving.

Update today at 18/06/202 @ 7:53pm
- My friend told me that the victim was fondly known as 'Akai'.  He is usually seen around Likas Sports Complex area and will always helped out in anyway he could if there's any event around there.  He is a little bit 'special' but to those who knew him well...he is truly a special person in their hearts.  RIP Uncle Akai...I hope the person who did this will be punished as what he/she deserved.

Sometimes, you don't have to take them home because of whatever difficulties that you are in.  But if you can just give them love just one day....only one day...because they are God's creation too, and they deserved to be loved...and to feel love...it's more than enough.  Not just to humans, but to animals too.

Note: Photo of me taken by a friend feeding one of the strays.  How I wish I can bring all of them home...
Aih...another belated post. LOL...

Anyway, last week, my brother nominated me as one of the candidates to win the Voice Out 2012 Youth Huminodun award.

Just a little explanation here, this award is to appreciate female youths that had contributed to the society via their work or whatever cause they are into.  (I do hope I did contributed something).  I only knew about this when my brother sent my details and I was accepted as one of the candidates, and in order to get into the top 3 finalists, the candidates (including me) will had to get as much 'likes' as possible.  Surprisingly, I got more than 250 likes, from blogger friends, facebook friends, paintball friends and many had shared the link to my photo and helping out spreading the news.

The photo that my brother submitted.

Anyway, the finals was held last Saturday (19 May 2012) at Suria Sabah.  I tell you...it is so scary to speak in front of strangers, eyes looking at you with curiosity.  I almost fainted! Huhuhuhu....

However, I am glad that I didn't ran away or pulling out.  Thank you to my brother and friends that came to support, especially Bunny who ran here and there, get me some drink, my jersey...LOL...

thank you Bunny!!

To everyone who had taken time to vote for me, to share to your friends to give your support through Facebook, Twitter, SMS, calls....once again, thank you so much.  I didn't win that day, but I gained more than that - there's a lot of people out there that cares about me.  =)

I was looking through my old folders randomly and somehow found this photo I taken (didn't remember that I did took it until today).

Was taken during my Kuching trip sometime ago.
This old lady opened her stall in front of a school, and I happened to passed by - going to the museum if I am not mistaken.

...it reminded me that I haven't been taking photos for quiet sometime now.  Need to get some inspiration.
