Sometimes, certain place changes along with time.

Old wooden buildings transformed into new, concrete ones.  Small roads turn into highways, and many more.  But there are places and things that still endures the waves of development.  For instance...

Photo taken at Tenom Train Station

This is the main transport for people who lives in the depths of Crocker Range to get into the town.  True, we don't have LRT, bullet train, monorail in Sabah.  Being one of the poorest state is not exactly the main reason for not having such advance public transport.  If you only take some time, took a train ride going through the places where these people live, then you might change your mind.

I am blessed to have nice, caring friends around me.  True, they seem to be not around that much sometimes, we seldom meet up but the friendship bond is always there, will always be there.

Kay came back from Hong Kong not so long ago and today, she gave me some nice goodies she got from there:

A nice bag and a T-shirt!

Thank you so much for the gifts!  =)

I can't resist seeing a cat, it seems.  This white cute kitty is a no exceptional.  Her name is Otzie, she is the queen of the place where she even have her own rug to sleep on, and meals are always ready on time.  I do wish there will be more cats as lucky as her out there.
I am lucky that I am blessed with little things that comes my way.

Koko K asked me to pick one again...and this time, I got my 2nd kitty pluggy and I choose this cute yellow fella.  Reminded me of my missing Ollie, the stray that I adopted years ago - whom I always fondly remember the first day I saw him given to me...sick, scrawny, dirty, glassy eyes...stared at me from a small shoe box.  He is barely smaller a bit than my palm back then, too hungry, too weak to utter a cry.  I took him in that very moment.

Months later, though he is very sickly and easily caught fever and flu during rainy days, Ollie is just like any other healthy kitty, playing, sleeping and wandering around the house everywhere he pleased.  Then one day, I came back from a paintball tournament and Ollie was not there to greet me at the door like he used to.  He was gone without a trace, till now.  =(

Anyway, I always kept a positive thought that Ollie is in a better home, where a family needed him to cheer someone, like he did to me.  This is the reminder of him, in which, the closest that I can get to see him whenever I missed him.

It will also reminded me of the token of friendship, and the happy thoughts that came with it.

thank you! =)

Note:  To those who wished to own this pluggy or the likes of it, you can visit this Facebook page and see what other cool stuff they had in store:  https://www.facebook.com/majorcaboutique
Most of my friends knew that apart from something pink, butterflies, bears...cats is in the list too.  After all, how many friends they knew that keeps a bag of kibbles in her big bag to feed a stray she saw in the streets?   =p

Anyway, I went hiatus from the net for couple weeks recently, no reason, just needed to have more 'me' time  and I went back to my hometown, spending my days that went by slowly, far from the jams and exchanging the concrete jungle with the natural green hills which I enjoyed the luxury of watching them every morning, covering in mist, having my sister's cats as companions whenever everyone went to work and school.  idyllic, but surprisingly, I 'survived' without having the urge to check on my mail, Twitter and Facebook!  Well, occasionally, my phone rang and SMS came in but that doesn't bother me at all.

Well, my belated birthday gift is already here...

Hehehe...I love it to bits!!!!!!

Thank you Koko K & Simon!!!

The greatest gift is not based on the size, but the hearts and warm thoughts that comes with it.
