Aih...another belated post. LOL...

Anyway, last week, my brother nominated me as one of the candidates to win the Voice Out 2012 Youth Huminodun award.

Just a little explanation here, this award is to appreciate female youths that had contributed to the society via their work or whatever cause they are into.  (I do hope I did contributed something).  I only knew about this when my brother sent my details and I was accepted as one of the candidates, and in order to get into the top 3 finalists, the candidates (including me) will had to get as much 'likes' as possible.  Surprisingly, I got more than 250 likes, from blogger friends, facebook friends, paintball friends and many had shared the link to my photo and helping out spreading the news.

Anyway, the finals was held last Saturday (19 May 2012) at Suria Sabah.  I tell you...it is so scary to speak in front of strangers, eyes looking at you with curiosity.  I almost fainted! Huhuhuhu....

However, I am glad that I didn't ran away or pulling out.  Thank you to my brother and friends that came to support, especially Bunny who ran here and there, get me some drink, my jersey...LOL...

thank you Bunny!!

To everyone who had taken time to vote for me, to share to your friends to give your support through Facebook, Twitter, SMS, calls....once again, thank you so much.  I didn't win that day, but I gained more than that - there's a lot of people out there that cares about me.  =)

I was looking through my old folders randomly and somehow found this photo I taken (didn't remember that I did took it until today).

Was taken during my Kuching trip sometime ago.
This old lady opened her stall in front of a school, and I happened to passed by - going to the museum if I am not mistaken.

...it reminded me that I haven't been taking photos for quiet sometime now.  Need to get some inspiration.

...and also to all mothers out there...you all are amazing.  Happy mother's day to you too!  =)

It's been raining almost every evening these days after it's been hot and humid for quite sometime.  The unpredictable weather makes going from one place to another seems a difficult task.  Imagine this, you are going to do some shopping and then there's lots of things in the shopping list, and then there's your friends or your family wanted to tag along, and if you with kids, and you can't just leave them at home because no one is taking care of them.  So, you need to bring them along with you.

It was hot and humid out there, even worst, it's raining!  How are you going to get to these places?  Now, taking the public transport seems like a good idea.  But imagine that you have to carry lots of stuff and chuck yourself in a small seat (you paid for just one), hanging on your plastic bags and praying none of the oranges rolled out, while trying to make sure that your kids clinging unto your shirt and make sure no one is missing.  That's when it clicked: you need a car.

Seriously, I know how it felt. Walking under the hot sun or running in the rain carrying lots of stuffs in both hands is not funny at all. Of all the car brands that I had my eyes on, I fell in love with an Audi =)

I know that getting a car is another investment and of course, I need more details and being unconvinced by merely 'okaylah...' as an answer, I searched through the internet and found CarSifu.  Not only they provided a wide range of cars from all brands to search from, it even comes with details of the car, pricing and reviews from other user - it that doesn't convinced you, I don't know what else!

What excites me is that they had the photos of all the cars, and I can't believed it that they even had the newest Audi cars for sale too.  Take note that there are more than 10,000 cars for sale posted so take your sweet time to browse through one by one - imagine how much time and energy saved compared to when you had to actually go to one shop and another just to search for the right car.  This process is easy, select the car that you had your eyes on, check the details, contact the owner and then set up an appointment to have a look.  If that didn't suit you, search again.

So what are you waiting for?  Check out CarSifu yourself, your dream car is waiting for you!
Bunny had to attend a course in the city for 2 days.  So yesterday, he picked me up earlier than usual - one of the reason is that the office where he took his course is nearer to my place.

Since it's early, well...too early for dinner and due to the hot weather plus the other day my brother showed off a photo of ice cool shredded ice topped with generous helping of fresh mango cubes, we went to have a try at Hosten, Lintas.

There are no customers around as we took our seat.  Practically empty, maybe because everyone just about to come out from offices kua...

As we took our seats outside the cafe, a female waitress came over and throw (yes, she threw) 2 menus on our table, very much to our surprise.  Hrm...such a 'warm welcome' we got.  Owh, did I mentioned that she didn't even smile?  Is it hard to smile?

She left us a while and we scanned the menu. After a while, she returned when we gestured her that we wanted to place our order, with that same unhappy face she made, she came.  Bunny gently told her, "Lain kali, jangan buang-buang menu atas meja..." (next time, please don't throw the menu on the table).  She replied with 'Hah?' and seem impatient with getting our orders.  Somemore, when we speak Malay to her, she seemed not understand and repeating her question 'Ah?' So I spoke to her in Mandarin, then she replied us back in Malay pulak... Sheesh... and we noticed that it's not just her, but the other staffs as well.  Dark, dark faces..me also scared lah.

Bunny was not happy...so does the bear.  I suggested him that we should leave, but he still motivated of wanted to try the mango ice, and partly because he is a little exhausted from the whole day course - cramp with lots of notes to remember the whole day, he said we stay, just this once.  (See, we are nice people...I mean, thankfully I got someone nicer than me who still can tolerate with the rude treatment - I even joked with him that maybe the staffs haven't got their salary yet, that's why all faces like thunder).

Owh well...here's what we had:

Honeydew ice for me.

Mango ice for Bunny.

Overall...tasted so-so.  Nothing much to shout about.  Bunny said the mango cubes is too sour for him.  Again, I cracked a joke that it's because the staffs got sour faces so the mango turns sour too...LOL!

Anyway, doubt that I will return to this place.  Feel so unwelcomed.  If you been there and never had any thing that I encountered, just say maybe it wasn't my day then.
