So, yesterday me and Leanna walked towards the car at the Karamunsing Complex carpark and saw the moon just risen up slowly.  Randomly, we decided, 'Hey, let's go take some moon photos tonight!'.  One problem is that, we both don't dare to wander at somewhere far away, just 2 of us ladies alone.  I called Koko K and Simon to join us, in which those 2 guys gladly said yes (I think...).

The trip going up to Kokol Hill is fun.  Well, usually it was me got bullied by the 2 brothers but this time, I shared my 'pain' with Leanna, LOL!!! As we drove going up, the place was eerily quiet, cold breeze and only moonlight shone our paths.  There are few villages we drove past but still...it's kinda creepy, though.

When we arrived, I saw the rarest view that I had ever seen...well...I had been living in KK for quite sometime now, I seen Mt. Kinabalu basking under the sun, under the moonlight but only at Kundasang area which is nearer...but this one...is...breathtaking!

Can you see the mountain?
I think the white clouds is just like the lost spirit wandering around the mountain...

During the old days where the Dusuns still haven't embrace Christianity or any form of religion, they believed that God, or 'Kinoringan' they called it lives on top of the Mount Kinabalu, and that everyone who died, their souls will go up to the mountain and lives there.

Let's just say, while taking this photo is not quite a pleasant experience.  Standing at a very lonely, dark road, with only the moonlight as the light, dogs kept on howling again and again and I am trying to pretend not to hear anything...I do glad that the 2 guys tagged us along.

Yes, there's also a minor (??) incident happened when I switched place and trying to get another angle of the view, I went to the steeper spot of the road (my bad!) and placed the tripod with my cam attached on it.  I thought I had made sure that the tripod was placed properly and when I searched through my pocket to get the brush to clean the lens suddenly..CRASH!! My camera dropped on the ground...I was like 'SH*T!!!! M CAMERA!!!' T_T

Checked and so far, it still working, just a little scratch marks, lens is working fine.  But I will send it to service and check up sometime around this week to make sure.

Anyway, I think this photo reminded me of this classic number by Carl Orff, "O'Fortuna".  A medieval Latin Goliardic poem of 13th Century, that was later set to music by the German composer, Carl Orff.  =)

It's been a long but fun night.  Thank you Leanna, Koko K and Simon for the fun night! =)
I was having my usual green tea this morning and browsing through Facebook, my emails, Twitter and then I came across this photo in my Facebook News Feed...

From the logo, you know what's the brand...
but not the brand that caught my eye actually.

Yes, you guess it...it's PINK!  Pretty, pretty PINK!!!

Wonder how much is it in stores now...I think I need to write to Santa asking for this one...and hope I am good enough to get this...time to start wishing hard!!!

P/s:  Please do send it in UK size 5.  Thank you very much.
Argh...been quite sometime since I had my glasses changed.

So last Sunday (yesterday, to be exact)...I finally had a new one made, and of course...the degree has increased too! =(

Randomly picked one of the optics shop in Center Point,
and after trying out few pairs of frames...the shop owner himself recommended this one for me...
Which all in all cost me RM199 including the lenses.

Cheap, no?
I still consider it's cheap as my previous one cost more than that last time.

Tada~!!  Showing off the glasses ok...not the phone!!!!
Hahahaha...

I wanted to take darker color frames but somehow, I look too 'serious' and people might mistook me for a teacher or somewhere towards that profession (perasan!).

Well, if this one didn't ngam...what to do lah, I still had to stick with it... =.=|||
I was back to my little hometown again last weekend for my sister's engagement day.

It's a very simple, quiet, family affair.  Nothing too grand, but I guess my family members alone can liven up the whole place! =p

My uncle Kenny as the 1st witness for the future bride's side...

Cousin George as the 2nd witness...

1st witness from my sister's fiancee side...

2nd witness...

Catechist Angeline came to lead the prayers.

My mom showing off the cupcake my sister bake herself.

My family's 'must have' activity when they gather around... =.=|||

Congratulations Kirstin & Ah Kong! =)

After 2 days battling it out under the hot sun, the dirt, the pellets flying around, paint on the jerseys, pants, masks, now it's back to nursing sunburns, bruises left from the weekend war.

Yes, very much to my surprise and to everyone who knew me for years in this sport - for the first time in my paintball life I passed out last saturday soon after the lunch break.  It's been very hot that day, guess I don't have enough sleep the night before (pre-tournament jitters keeps me awake whole night), early morning I only had little breakfast for the sake of 'eating something' to keep Koko K stop babbling about me not eating , made the worst mistake for taking 2 cans of energy drink in less than 4 hours that keeps me in a very hyper mode during the game, hectic game schedule to follow (90 rounds that day with 1 field and the minor technical glitches in between causing delays), one of the fellow referees was sick and unable to get through the day means we are one guy short in the field, I am too busy rotating the other refs for rest every few games that I forgotten myself - finally...my spirit says go on but my body gave up.

It wasn't fun, seeing all black spots, wobbling, head aches and at the same time feeling like wanted to vomit, and weak, you feel like wanted to dozed off but you were told not to and they keep you awake...you don't feel like eating or drinking anything and every sip of water feels so bitter and you unable to take another drop unless being forced.  I was lucky that I collapsed nearby where the paintballers were watching the game and I didn't remember where I landed.  I just knew there are voices all around me that sounds like echos.

Then after quite sometime, I feel much better but was not allowed to get back into the field.  My heart breaks seeing them working so hard.  (sigh...when I am the leader, I am supposed to be a lot stronger, right?) I am a little disappointed at myself.

I feel touched when paintballers are concerned and visiting the tent where I was recuperating and asking for my well being.  Some gave lots of advice, others kept me under the shade and offering water, isotonic drinks even food!

Even right after the day 1 tournament is over, Koko K and Simon bring me to have something to eat and for the first time, I rejected dessert. =.=|||

My heartfelt thank you for everyone - your kind get well wishes for me through Facebook, SMS'es, calls.  Also to concerned paintballers during B3M - I can't thank you all enough.
