Last Sunday (21st Oct) I went to Tamu Tuaran with my mom, my aunt Christina, aunt Florence and Uncle John. It was a rare occasion where I could actually go around here and there without worrying about working on Sundays (my bro is taking care the whole thing) so I decided to go around, spent some time with my mom and visited the town that I haven't been visited since the past 7 years.

It was still almost the same as it was, except for minor changes here and there but the Sunday Market is still the same. For those who didn't know Tamu is, it's more like a word for 'market' here..so when you think of Tamu, you will get a vision of a large market with lots of people, food, vegetables, poultry and many more things on sale. The Tamu is normally held on Sundays. However, some districts are famous for the weekdays Tamu such as Tamu Tamparuli (Wednesdays), Tamu Donggongon (Thursdays & Fridays).

Owh well...being in the tamu is not bad..there are lots of things you can see, taste and smell. Sometimes you can get it fresh and cheap too. Whenever you free, do feel free to have a stroll at the Tamu nearest to you. =)
This is one kind of seaweed. I was told that it can be eaten raw. Just wash it with lukewarm water and take a small portion of it, dip it in its sauce (Lime juice + shallots + chilies) and pop into your mouth. I haven't tried it before but will surely love to try it if I got the chance.

This is pecal, my all time favorite. However, when I first brought it in Tuaran, I was surprised when I found out that this version of pecal was slightly different from the ones that mom used to brought from the tamu in Tenom when since I was little. The pecal that I used to eat normally consists of boiled vegetables like the kacang panjang (long beans), pucuk ubi (young tapioca leaves), nangka muda (young jackfruit) and taugeh (beansprouts) poured with a generous splash of thick, sweet and spicy peanut gravy and wrap it all up in banana leaf. However, the 'Tuaran version' of pecal was added cooked vermicelli (meehoon), which is not really to my liking. So, I always make sure to visit stalls that only serves made per order pecals so that I can have them omitted the vermicelli from my pecal. ^^

Pickles in jars....this is commonly can be found too. There's bambangan, pickled wild fruit (it was round in shape, and yellow in flesh with a distinctive smell). Tuhau, another wild vegetable that's chopped finely, pickled with vinegar and chilies. Some might find it a turn off though because of it smells that resembles the posisang, a very stinky bug. But if tuhau seems to gross to be smell at, try bosou, preserved fish then put in the jar. For those that didn't really fancy or being picky with your food, you might find this dish unappetizing at all.

Actually, there are lots more photos that I wanted to put here to share with you all...but it might take long long time for you to finish reading it all. Especially to those who never visited Sabah, come here and ask your Sabahan friend to show you around. =)

Well...everyone's been on a first date right? First dates aren't normally the most relaxing of events. Still, they don't need to create any more stress than already exists, either. Hehehe...for those who are looking forward to first dates with someone new..hrm...check these tips below that I got and see if it's applicable to you..perhaps it might applicable to me also..who knows...hehehehe....feel free to drop more suggestions for those who encountered it:

1. Dating Rule: First Dates Should Be Affordable

A first date is simply that - a primary interaction to get to know someone better. Leave the big bucks for later should things work out and try to keep the total expenses affordable for both parties, especially if you plan on going dutch. (psst...we are not interested how much you got in your wallet okay...don't assume all ladies are like that).

2. Dating Rule: Find a Place With a Talkable Space

You'll get shushed at the movies and have to yell in a crowded bar. Think about your first date location and whether or not you can comfortably talk in it without too much interruption. Getting to know someone new is the focus of a first date, which is next to impossible without conversation. But keep the conversation equal though. Talking too much about your ownself is borrriiinggggggg~

3. Dating Rule: Keep It Comfy

Comfy clothes, that is. A new outfit for a first date might be a lovely gesture, but what if the two of you decide to go for a walk after dinner and your new (and not broken in shoes) make the entire experience miserable? Opt for comfortable, flattering, dependable clothes that won't pinch, sag, break, ride up, or otherwise leave you potentially fiddling all night. You might give the wrong message to your date that you are not interested...as you are too busy minding your clothes rather than concentrating to the conversation. ^^

4. Dating Rule: Make the First Date Location Easy to Find

If your chosen location is more than thirty minutes away or requires a map to find, it's time to seek out another place to meet. If things go well on your first date you can always sweep your sweetie off to a unique and hard-to-find location another time. "Hello...I had passed by the same place...I can't find that bloody restaurant!"

5. Dating Rule: Ensure a Non-Alcohol Based First Date

There is nothing wrong with having a drink on a first date. Making it a requirement to drink on a first date however is a sure recipe for disaster. Avoid locations that have a drink minumum or situations where your date may feel pressured to imbibe. Besides, it wasn't impressive to see your tipsy/drunken face...geez~

6. Dating Rule: Allow for Time to Interact

Some great involve so much activity that there is no time to interact one on one. Therefore, if you choose to attend a dinner theater or take a tennis lesson together, make sure you've allowed for some down time afterwards to chat. But to play it safe, better avoid tiring activities...

7. Dating Rule: Make the Event Enjoyable

Don't think that by taking your date out to do something you hate you'll be winning brownie points. You won't. Instead, make sure that whatever activity you share is enjoyable for the both of you.

Have fun and good luck! =)

Hrm...I heard this song few months back. But I just find it nice and wanted to post this video into my blog..hahahaa...I find his vocal very good and surprisingly, all along I thought Elliot Yamin (when I heard this song) was uh..black (sorry, I don't watch American Idol). Enjoy!

I never felt nothing in the world like this before
Now I'm missing you
And I'm wishing that you would come back through my door
Why did you have to go? You could have let me know
So now I'm all alone,
Girl you could have stayed
but you wouldnt give me a chance
With you not around it's a little bit more then i can stand
And all my tears they keep running down my face
Why did you turn away?

So why does your pride make you run and hide?
Are you that afraid of me?
But I know it's a lie what you keep inside
This is not how you wanted to be

[Chorus]
So baby I will wait for you
Cause I don''t know what else i can do
Don't tell me I ran out of time
If it takes the rest of my life
Baby I will wait for you
If you think I'm fine it just aint true
I really need you in my life
No matter what i have to do I'll wait for you

It's been a long time since you called me
(How could you forget about me)
You got me feeling crazy (crazy)
How can you walk away,
Everything stays the same
I just can't do it baby
What will it take to make you come back
Girl I told you what it is and it just ain't like that
Why can't you look at me, your still in love with me
Don't leave me crying.

Baby why can't we just start over again
Get it back to the way it was
If you give me a chance I can love you right
But your telling me it wont be enough

So why does you pride make you run and hide
Are you that afriad of me?
But I know it's a lie what your keeping inside
That is not how you wanted to be

I'll Be Waiting...
If any of you guys ever tried it....I am really amazed to see you still alive...hahahahhhaa~

1. When she asks how she looks, shrug and say "could be better." This will keep her on her toes, and girls love that.

2. Never hold her hand. This can be interpreted as a sign of weakness. If she grabs your hand, squeeze hers really hard until she cries (this will impress her by showing her what a strong man you are).

3. Once a month, sneak up on her from behind and knock her over. Girls are like dogs; they love to be roughed up.

4. Call her in the middle of the night to ask if she's sleeping. If she is, say "you better be." Repeat this 4 or 5 times until morning. This will show her you care.

5. When she is upset about something, suggest to her that it might be her fault. This will pave the way for her own personal improvement, and every girl needs some improvement.

6. Recognize the small things, as they usually mean the most. Then when she's sleeping, steal all her small things and break them, because jewelry is for pussies and Asian ladies.

7. If you're talking to another girl, make sure she's looking. When she is, stare into her eyes, mouth the words "F UCK you" and grab the other girl's ass. Girls love competition.

8. Tell her you're taking her out to dinner. Drive for miles so she thinks it's going to be really special. Then take her to a burning tire yard. When she starts to get upset, tell her you were just kidding and now you're really going to take her to dinner. Then drive her home. When she starts crying and asks why you would do something like that, lean over and whisper very quietly into her ear "...because I can."

9. Introduce her to your friends as "some chick." Women love those special nicknames.

10. Play with her hair. Play with it HARD.

11. Warm her up when she's cold...and not by giving her your jacket, because then you might get cold. Rather, look her in the eye and say "if you don't stop *****ing about the cold right now, you're going to be *****ing about a black eye." The best way to get warm is with fear.

12. Take her to a party. When you get there, she'll have to go to the bathroom (they always do). Leave immediately. Come back right when the party is dying and yell at her the whole way home for ditching you all night.

13. Make her laugh. A good way to do this is if she has a small pet. Kick the pet. I always find stuff like that funny...why shouldn't girls?

14. Let her fall asleep in your arms. When she's fast asleep, wait 10 minutes, then jump up and scream in her ear. Repeat until she goes home and you can use your arms for more important things (like basketball).

15. Spit often. I hear girls like guys that spit.

16. If you care about her, never ever tell her. This will only give her self-confidence, then you can never turn her into the object she deep down desires to be.

17. Every time you're in her house, steal one of her shoes, earrings or anything else that comes in pairs. Only take one of the pair. This way, she'll go crazy.

18. Take her out to dinner. Right when she's about to order, interrupt and say "no, she's not hungry." Make her watch you eat. Girls love a guy that speaks for her.

19. Look her in the eyes and smile. Then punch her in the face. Girls love a spontaneous guy.

20. Give her one of your t-shirts, and make sure it has your smell on it (but not a sexy cologne smell...a bad smell. You know what I'm talking about).

21. When it's raining, keep asking her if she's crying. She'll say "no, it's just the rain." Ten minutes later, turn to her and just scream at her to stop crying. Girls like a tough man.

22. Titty twisters and plenty of them.

23. If you're listening to music, and she asks to hear it, tell her no. This way she'll think you're mysterious.

24. Remember her birthday, but don't get her anything. Teach her that material objects arent important. The only thing that's important is that she keeps you happy, and your happiness is the greatest present she can ever get.

25. When she gives you a present on your birthday, Christmas or just whenever, take it and tell her you love it. Then, next time you know she's coming over on a trash day, leave the trash can open and have the present visibly sticking out of the can. Girls actually don't like this one that much, but I think it's funny.

26. If she's mad at you for not calling her when you say you will, promise her that you will call her at a certain time of the day. This will make sure that she waits by the phone. Tell her when you call that you're going to tell her a special surprise. Now she'll be really excited. Don't call.

Yesterday, everyone has been making a fuss out of this halo appeared around the sun. Well, it wasn't the first time I ever saw one so, I guess it's common for me. Even my handphone has been ringing endlessly with the SMS keep on beeping to my line and each and every calls or SMS I received averagely sounded like "Look outside! There is something around the sun!!"

Well people, that 'something' is called 'halo'. Halo is a ring of light surrounding the sun or the moon. it was formed from the refraction of light from the sun or the moon through ice crystals that came from thin, thigh level clouds like the cirrus clouds.

However, if you look at the below photos I was given by Extreme_KK, there is a mysterious, puzzling white dot around the sun when it was taken. What is it? Why it was there? No one knew. =.=?

A precaution though, the next time when you looking for the halos, SHIELD YOUR EYES from the sun. Take care while photographing.

God's creation to man kind is surely wonderful!
