I guess the impact was on me especially the day that my brother's wedding approaching near. Glad that some stuff was finally on track and get down to the finish line but there are more other stuffs that I'm getting it done. Off course, when a wedding is approaching near, there will be lots of people around that notice about the 'single, unmarried' you and started questioning:

"So, when are you getting married?"
"Don't you think you are too old now?"
"Don't you feel lonely?"
"Don't you want to get married? Have kids?"
"Don't you realized that your biological clock is ticking?"
"Didn't you ask your boyfriend where your relationship goes?"
"Didn't your boyfriend wants to marry you?"

And so many more in the line, but above is the most common ones.

First of all, I am happy the way I am. I am currently in a relationship, but hello...does everything must ended in marriage in a haste? If it does I would be divorced many times than Elizabeth Taylor did!

Second, off course I want to get married. But if I get married just for the sake of 'getting married' and to make other people happy to see me 'married'...and lastly ended up in an unhappy marriage, making more lives miserable then I rather stay single.

Third, Children is a gift of God. I got a friend who marries at 44 but she still got a healthy baby a year afterwards with no complications whatsoever. God provides. Why doubt on His works?

Fourth, No, I don't feel old. I am surrounded by wonderful friends and family members around me, the house is always in a big hu-ha among us...I got cousins who are still single, those who are older than I am but they live their life as happy as it is, to the fullest...so being lonely is only 'lonely' when you bring the loneliness in your life. You think too much.

Fifth, yes, me and my boyfriend did think about our future. He has his target in his life and I got mine. When the time is right, the day will come. In the mean time, we just go with the flow. So what is wrong with it? Other people do it, why we can't?

Why it has to be a big deal whether I am still single or not? That my sibling is getting married one by one but not me? If you want to eat come to my house, I can always cook for you the same as they serve on the wedding banquet...don't doubt on my cooking skills wor, I might seldom in the kitchen but I still call myself a good cook! (Aiseh...hahahahahahha)

So now, to everyone out there....please do not nudge on me on every wedding occasion and say "When is your turn?" I might return that favor to you on a funeral, nudge you and say the way you told me, "When is your turn?" at that time, don't say I didn't warn you to stop from the beginning....hehehehhee....
I found this nice song in YouTube, but it's in Hakka. Don't know how to pronounce the title in Hakka =p In Mandarin it supposed to be "Hai Bian Kan Fei Ji". It was composed and sung by a Sabahan. Didn't really know the real name of the singer but I was told that there is a CD released. Unlike most Hakka songs that I found in YouTube that mostly..well..uh...oldies, this singer managed to give a fresh change and really suits to the taste of most people. I heard it was almost a mix of Jay Chou - Richie Ren style in his music (correct me if I am wrong). Well, feel free to listen. For those who didn't understand Hakka, I am doing my best to translate it (to the nearest meaning of the lines, because my Hakka is elementary also...hahahaa...so please help me correct the mistakes) below the clip. Enjoy!

Alone in Tanjung Aru,
Saw lots of dating couples,
sharing one coconut with 2 straws,
Eating pickled fruits.

I remember the day you told me,
You had decided to England with him,
finally you got the chance to go skiing with him,
and can see how the moon light was in oversea.

Actually there are lots of things I wanted to tell you,
I kept it inside and it's hard to said it out,
20 years has gone by and I still haven't tell you,
Every nights passes by,
I only said it in my sleep!

I really love you,
Can you please don't go to America?
I really love you,
Can you please don't go with him?

If you really wish to travel by plane,
Why don't I bring you to somewhere near,
In the newspaper ads they advertised zero-priced airline tickets,
Two airlines were competing each other;

Penang, Johor, Kuala Lumpur,
You just name it and I will go online,
If really want it please make it fast or it will be finished,
Zero-priced tickets sold out, I will be done for.

Actually there are lots of things I wanted to tell you,
Kota Kinabalu is a good place to stay,
Since the past years, the foreigners keep coming,
Mountain climbing, island hopping,
To the 3rd Beach enjoying the moon light.

I really love you,
can you please don't go to America?
I really love you,
Concerned that when you are sleeping it's cold and you
don't have a blanket to cover;
I still really love you,
In America you can't eat KK's famous Sang Nyuk Mee,
I really love you,
It's best if you don't leave Kota Kinabalu~

Because if you are not beside me...
I will die.

Alone at the beach,
looking at the airplane took off to the sky...
Alone at the beach,
looking at the airplane getting further and further away...
Love him, hate him, idolize him. Stories of his childhood years, scandals...his marriage, his children. He married the rock n roll royalty, dated one of the big stars, his life is a complete mystery and controversial. But now...he was no more. Died at age 50 in Los Angeles, the King of Pop, was dethroned. Rest In Peace, Michael Jackson. You will always be remembered by your fans.

Here is one of my most favorite song of his:

When the good Lord was creating fathers, He started with a tall frame. A female angel nearby said, "What kind of father is that? If you're going to make children so close to the ground, why have you put fathers up so high? He won't be able to shoot marbles without kneeling, tuck a child in bed without bending or even kiss a child without a lot of stooping. And God smiled and said, "Yes, but if I make him childsize, who would children have to look up to?"

And when God made a father's hands, they were large and sinewy. The angel shook her head sadly and said, "Large hands are clumsy. They can't manage diaper pins, small buttons, rubber bands on ponytails or even remove splinters caused by baseball bats." And God smiled and said, "I know, but they're large enough to hold everything a small boy empties from his pockets at the end of a day, yet small enough to cup a child's face."

And then God molded long, slim legs and broad shoulders. The angel nearly had a heart attack. "Boy, this is the end of the week, all right," she clucked. "Do you realize you just made a father without a lap? How is he going to pull a child close to him without the kid falling between his legs?" And God smiled and said, "A mother needs a lap. A father needs strong shoulders to pull a sled, balance a boy on a bicycle or hold a sleepy head on the way home from the circus."

God was in the middle of creating two of the largest feet anyone had ever seen when the angel could contain herself no longer. "That's not fair. Do you honestly think those large boats are going to dig out of bed early in the morning when the baby cries? Or walk through a small birthday party without crushing at least three of the guests?" And God smiled and said, "They'll work. You'll see. They'll support a small child who wants to ride a horse to Banbury Cross or scare off mice at the summer cabin or display shoes that will be a challenge to fill."

God worked throughout the night, giving the father few words but a firm, authoritive voice and eyes that saw everything but remained calm and tolerant. Finally, almost as an afterthought, He added tears. Then He turned to the angel and said, "Now, are you satisfied that he can love as much as a mother?"

The angel shutteth up.
This video is specially dedicated to one of my close friends, Leanna aka Bubbleberry. Happy birthday, girl...may all your wishes come true! Hehehe...
