Some dude told my friend that getting an expensive camera will produce better shots than those cheap ones. It really ticks her off. Well...if this guy is a well experienced, known photographer, he might had the right to brag so.
But what would you feel if a noob that only knew the model of the camera and price tag but can't even tell what other good features that differentiate the so called 'expensive' camera than the 'cheap' ones said that on your face? I think that fella thinks that by using some super duper expensive camera it will produce photos like in the magazines...hello...have you heard of photoshop?
So you got a super duper equipment on your hands. It might make you look cool, more pro, yes it do gives out more than the average ones. ONLY FOR THOSE WHO REALLY KNEW HOW TO USE IT. So wearing having the latest loader on your marker makes you snap shot better, slide better? Like this ah...only those super duper rich people can be the best in the sports, the best photographers lor...What I am trying to tell here is that..there are some people who only wants to be 'in the crowd' among his/her peers without knowing what that actual thing is all about. So getting the 'more expensive' item is the 'highlight' to get in the crowd. Sorry lah...I didn't see it going anywhere.
Okay, so you got the bucks in your pockets. You got the right to say so lah, right? But let me share something on behalf of majority of people that doesn't agree with such statement. Expensive, doesn't mean that it gives out better than the low cost ones if you don't have the BASICS. Yeah, you read me - BASICS.
Give Ronaldo wear a pair of shoes worth RM100, I am sure he will still plays soccer well. Or Vanessa Mae an old violin, or Kenny G a cheap saxophone, they still can produce beautiful melodies from it. I even saw someone bragged about getting a new DM9 but the minute he steps inside the field to test his 'new marker' he got scolded because he took off his face mask!
So...correct me if I am wrong, but...for a noob that just knew to flaunt your pockets and gets the latest gadgets without knowing what it is for or how to use it...or even knew what the basics you must have...it just like a monkey that was given a piece of diamond.

hi, i'm new here. But just to share my thoughts. Expensive doesnt guarantee success. yes, doesnt mean u buy an expensive soccer shoes, u'll b a great soccer player. But, on the other hand, the expensive ones would be in better shape for a long time as compared to the very cheap ones. hmmm....do u get what i mean? just like handbag, the expensive one will be in use for longer time than the cheap one. NOt to say we shld buy the most expensive ones, just the reasonable ones would be ok.
good thought.
But if the handbag was owned by someone who doesn't knew the value of it...it still become - useless.
Take paintball markers for instance, I owned an Invert Mini...hell...even Tippy 98 which is lower level than it proves to be much more durable than what I had now.
Then again, back to basics.
It's all about value. But what is value? Try googling "define value" and you'll find many definitions of the word value.
By your post, the dude offered only two definitions of value:
1. Price (expensive)
2. Quality (better shots)
But what of other values?
Cheers! Have a valuable day. ;)
Actually, using an expensive camera really can produce much better quality photos..
I used both camera and i know the different between each of it..a point and shot camera can give you a normal look photo..but when you use expensive camera like DSLR, the quality is totally different.. :)It doesn't matter if no
Thats why studio camera cost a bomb and its used to take photo like wedding photo and others..its because of the quality it can produced.. :)
Hehee...sorry lah if i don't agree with you ah..i learn about 3 different cameras bah, thats why i know already the differences..
Alamak!! tegantung pulak my comment..hehee
*I just want to let you know, one can always learn to master the skill to use the expensive camera..pelan2..lama2 pandai juga.. :)
Ky: yeah..a price tag for something that he doesn't knew a thing about.
KAdusMama: Great to know that. But my overall blog is all about noobs that talk only, but didn't have any freaking idea what is actually having photograph is all about...in other words - they didn't know anything but just don't want to be left out. Like I said..if that person has no basic...so having such good equipment also will produce nothing.
alamak..yikes! i like this one.
haha..no expensive camera..but great software can still do the trick ba.
there are a lot of ways how u can get to what u want..kn?
pngajaran moral: ya,, just like money cant buy happiness.money will also not buy success? but then u can still fake it..:)
aik,, mcm tekeluar tajuk sda sia ni haha
sepala tu ah yg pakai dm9? hahaha
hhahahaa.....bah...sepa-sepa yg ndak buat seperti yg tertera di blog sa ndak perlu risau....hahahahaha~
