Sorry, pic quality not clear...am using my sister's handphone to take the pic. Please click on it to get a better view..thanks.

I bet most of you knew where this is. It's located near the Bank Negara & Post Office in Kota Kinabalu. Notice that there are some kids approaching the 2 guys. Those are street kids, illegal immigrants that roaming free on our streets, begging. It's nothing new, in fact we are sick of it, we are tired to see these scenarios happening everyday.

It really disturbs me, to see these kids even went to an extend pulling the clothes or sleeves of passerbys begging for money. Is this what the tourists expects to see in our city? Imagine this when they took the photos of these street kids and show the photos to their friends in their countries, narrating "This is Kota Kinabalu, I can't believe that the place was such a poor one that they even have street kids roaming around begging for money." They might thought these kids were locals!

Geez. =.=

You’re getting sick to see them, AngelBear? Ask me too. Ooooo.. No! Don’t ask me… I tell you what is my opinion regarding those PTI’s kids. I’ve seen this scenario since 20 years ago… and guess what? Nothing’s changed till now… in fact, it’s getting worst day by day… year by year. Who’s fault? The government; of cause! The government has done nothing to prevent that things happened. A few “good civilian” who keeps donating their money whenever they pass by the street should be blamed too. Why should we help them if we know that “begging” are illegal? And those kids are also illegal citizens too.
I’m afraid that soon those PTI’s kids will be no longer “illegal citizens” anymore. Why? Our Prime Minister has mention to give “good chances” for them to be a “legal Sabahan’s citizens”, during the “11 prizes for Malaysians” announced by him last week (11 July 2009) in Puterajaya. That’s scary, isn’t it?

nadia: yang kin manas..kalau ko ndak kasi durang berani tu tarik2 baju...haiz...I was told some even dare to 'raba-raba'~ =/

honey: dunno...maybe they only want to resolve this when the city is totally dominated by this group.

connie: Bingo! Memang duit tu durang bikin beli gam...selalu tu durang lepak sana Padang merdeka.

MS: That's what I am afraid of. If they were legalised, sooner or later we began to lose our place in our own place. =.=

These kids give KK a bad name...but i don't think there's much we can do about it. Besides, begging isn't a crime right?
