Me, Kay, Winnie and Leanna met up just now at our usual place in Upperstar. Previously, apart from the difficulty of finding a good and 'safe' parking spot just to go there, met up, have some vodka lime and our favorite selection of food from finger foods to lamb chops, sitting in a cozy place...I nothing much to complain about this place until today.
1st Scene:
We decided to sit outside on the ground floor of the premise, having our usual chats, laughs, food and drinks when suddenly, it was interrupted by some kid, believed to be one of the illegal immigrant's children went just few meters of us, yelling at someone inside the premise with a language that we don't understand. Apparently, that kid was seen holding a stick and a brick on each of his hands, with his gang, a girl also holding a stick who is a little bit older than him (they both looked like within 10-12 years old) walking to and fro from the shops nearby, then returned back to the exact place among the patrons that sit outside the place (including us) and start babbling again in his mother language. This happens for a few times that at one occasion, he even threw a rock at one of the metal doors of the closed shops near by.
Each time when he walked back to the place where he first went, he would wave his stick around, causing the other customers that sat around was uncomfortable and even there is one table where there are 2 guys sitting there, quickly finished their drinks and left the premise. My girls and I felt unsafe too. For the first time, we sat there barely for just less than 2 hours we asked for the bill and wanted to leave. With such thing happened in front of you, small rouges carrying stones and sticks, babbling nonsense at non specific there, (maybe high on drugs of Jebsen glue), anything can happen to any of us, right?
2nd Scene, also happened right after the 1st scene:
Before the 1st Scene happened, me and Kay arrived first before Leanna and Winnie. So we both ordered some drinks while waiting for the other girls to arrive. Drinks came and it was already paid. The staff who asked for the payment took the bil and the cash, then we realised the change was never returned. Soon after, another staff came, showed us the bill and we told him it was settled and we are waiting for the change. Leanna and Winnie arrived and placed their orders. Luckily, Scene 1 happened right after Leanna finished her food. So, when we asked for the bill, we were surprised that the first drinks that me and Kay had been paid for was again charged, this time at the 2nd bill.
Luckily Leanna looked through the bill. Or else we would get double charged.
So what I wanted to express here is:
1 - The premise is always been a hangout for both local and foreign customers. I might not know the exact reason why the kids are angry there. But the scene where these foreign kids strolling around there, causing commotion, carrying sticks and stones already enough to scare the customers. These kids might harm anyone around there.
So please, next time do something about them. Call the police or do something. From my observation, most of the staff only looked but did nothing. I swear I saw the boy was swinging his stick around near one of the tables and even walked behind me, still babbling something. Anyone of us could be a random target, you never know. You guys would feel the same too. Prevention is better than cure. So before anything worst happen in future, please do something about these kids!
2 - The Scene 2 incident. Human error. But for whatever the reason is, kindly please becareful in future. The change was not a big deal (it's a small amount anyway), but it is important to remind the staff to concentrate of getting their tasks done one by one to avoid getting forget, in this case,we got one staff collecting the bill from us - afterwards forgot to return the change, then the other staff asking us to pay the paid bill again then another one placed our paid items into a new bill. It could cause miscommunication between us and the staffs. A staff can do multitasking but it doesn't mean that he/she get each job half done then mix it all up, in the end no one knew the beginning and no one knew how to reach the end, leaving a furious customer wondering things they aren't supposed to.
Well...I guess it's just not our night for the Friday then. Sheesh. =.=

Hi Angel Bear, hey, you take care when at these places.
However, I am wondering why the older guys don't chase the kids away or get the cops?
Most everyone has a h/phone today (xcept me, ha ha)
You keep well and stay out of harms way, Lee.
